They're all very talented vocalists and actors, but Phoebe's head voice is something else.

Phoebe reminds me of Lauren, Adrienne, Erin & Catherine combined. Perhaps more of Catherine & Erin
Wait sibs reminds me of Lisa & Perhaps Colleen ?

Brilliant version... I'm not a fan of the Broadway cast recording because they tend to push the RP accent a little too far into parody... this is pretty damn perfect! (... and of course you deliver the 'cow' line perfectly!)

The whole thing is a heightened and extreme Victorian farce though, isn't it? So the exaggerated British accents (the original Broadway sibella pushes the accent most and she actually is British) is not just intentional but appropriate I thought? I personally love the way they pronounce marry as "merry". It's part of the charm for me

+Dan Djemal Yeah Dan... I know it was probably a choice but it just went a little far for my tastes. Not right, not wrong, just different.

+Ian Hayles that's debatable actually. thinking you can go "too far" in pastiche is actually objectively wrong, but you are welcome to hold your own tastes and opinions in higher regard than fact or reality

+Dan Djemal wow... OK nowhere have I said that my opinion is better than anyone else's... But as an actor and director I do happen to think that in pastiche you can go "too far"... It's a subtle art In my opinion, and (again in my opinion) the performance In this video nails the subtlety of light opera pastiche without going too far... But, as I think I said before, this is just my preference and were I you be directing this musical (which at its heart I think is really rather good) this is the level I would prefer it to be played at... Jeez!

The piano is drowning out the lyrics - you know, those things that inform the audience what's going in the play. Irksome singer, intruding upon the audio. The nerve!

I had zero problem hearing the singers.
