My go to for preseason prep. Thank you for helping point me in the proper direction with your personal experience and knowledge.
Very kind words, thank you!
As always, thank you JH for the live streaming help for baseball! Couldn't have done it without you! Your heat shields are a must for summer! God bless!
Thanks Richard, hope you are well!
I really like the baseball field example. I am going to have to copy that. 😁😁
Didn’t have it in me to fight the wind this year. I must be getting old!
Thank you Jason! Always willing to help out. Thanks for sharing your current setup!
Thank for the shout out!
Thanks for putting out great content!
When will part 2 of your baseball live stream setup come out. Looking forward to it.
Hope to get it published 2/3
The backpack is good, but I use a rolling tool box to carry everything. I got the Walmart Hart 3-box system ($89) because the blue matches our team's colors. Makes it very easy for everything to have a place and a place for everything.
Love it! I’ve had a rolling tool box in my wish list for the better part of a year. Just havent pulled the trigger on it yet. If I go with the Starlink mini I’ll go that route.
Great information as always, I’m not a tech guy so I rely on your videos so thank you. Just got a mevo start and was wondering if I can use a iPad mini to live stream games using GameChanger and my phone as a hotspot?
Thank you
What processor in the iPad mini? Some have reported struggles with using a phone as hotspot
4 core processor I also thought about using a extra iPhone that I don’t use anymore and just hotspot it. I also was watching video about GameChanger vs sideline HD and i guess sideline would be best choice if am just streaming. Trying to get ready for my daughter’s softball season this would be my first time at streaming. Thank you for your help.
A while back you experimented with a zoomed shot over the pitcher's shoulder. Did you give up on that?
It will be rare I have the time to set up for the over the shoulder shot. The ‘resources’ at the end of the video mentioned this shot but I wanted to be as real as possible with this setup and my role at the game.
Hi Jason, love your stuff. What do I need to record with a multi-cam setup on my truck while driving, I have the Mevo app and three Mevo cams, to connect wirelessly I have to turn wifi on and hotspot? the Mevo is not finding the cameras, it does find them at home though. I don't intend to go live just to record. Thanks!
Do turn on your Wi-Fi, but dont turn on your personal hotspot. When in the Mevo Multicam app and you choose to connect to a camera (blue plus) choose “i dont have WiFi” on the next page. It will walk you through setting up an ‘ad hoc’ network and connect to your cameras.
@@JasonHoffmanYT Thanks it worked! One more question: How can I change from "back camera" to front when using my phone as main camera, I don't a way of switching
Hoping you get an early look at the OBSBOT Tail Air 2 - would probably fit in great with your setup.
I anticipate it will change a lot about my setup - home or road version.
Hey Jason, when did you switch back to Speedify? I remember in past videos you stated that you couldn’t tell if it was working or not. Also are you going to continue with Speedify once they start charging for routers?
After talking to a couple of friends who stream with it I was convinced it does improve upload speeds. I will continue to use it on my ipad when streaming via Mevo apps. Too easy to use the built in cell service and bond it with my mifi hotspot.
May have missed; which lens do you use on the Core behind home plate? Thanks.
Olympus 14-42. You may need wider (less than 14mm) if your area between home and backstop is short.
Have you retired all your Mevo Start cameras? Will all these "non mevo" cameras connect through Multicam without an NDI box?
And would you recommend the AVKANS Go or Nearstream VM33 (not 46) over the use of a Mevo Start for behind the plate?
No, I still use them in church every week and for quick setup for community events. My home field backstop is deep enough to use a Core with my 14mm lens (narrower field of view than Start) but not every field is. NearStream, Obsbot (license purchase required) and AVKANS will connect via NDI.
I wouldn’t for behind the plate because of Mevo cameras are native to the Mevo app. NearStream has a narrower field of view so it’s better from farther away. AVKANS is similar FOV but hasn’t been out long enough to trust as my main camera (plus the ‘native’ thing).
Stay tuned for YoloLiv's portable PTZ camera with bigger sensor and optical zoom!
I asked Santa for a Mevo Start+ but he didn't deliver. Maybe this spring!
Sounds like we had the same Santa this year LOL
It must be a mistake that I didn't see YoloBox is not included in baseball live streaming setup!
No mistake. It is not in my home game live streaming setup. Stay tuned tho, you may see it in my road game live streaming setup next week.
