This is my affiliate link for our 12X18 hat bags: amzn.to/3DYaCsU It won't cost you more to use the link, but I do get a commission if you use the link and buy it. You could always open the link in an incognito browser to get the information and bypass that. :-)
@@TheChaChingKing what about some that are non-vintage for example, I live next to a Ross and I sometimes find hats there. What are some good ones to be on the lookout for?
Hey Scot, congrats on another great video...I use the same method when I ship my hats, only difference, I will heat seal the plastic bag with a "Heat Sealing Impulse Sealer" which makes the bag water proof, my buyers have really like it when the hat comes sealed (no tape needed). I picked up new heat bag sealer from a yard sale a few years ago and I use it on everything, works great and its better and cheaper than a zip lock baggies...Just FYI.
Great video. One tip I can give you is to put it in the box upside down and put an air pillow (save them when you buy from Amazon). There's less chance of the customer cutting it when they open the box since it's so close to the top of the box. I ship my big hats in a 8x8x5 so there's more room and I can use the same box for other things (I can always make the box shorter if needed).
Thanks for this information. What tape dispenser are you using in this video? It's not the same as your link below and I've been looking for a small one that would be easier for me to handle. Thank you!
Nice video! You still ship 1st class right? Isn't it as long as it's under 1 pound? Not sure why the weight of your box that you talked about is any issue. Can you explain? Thanks
Great question! Yes, I ship First Class. With the lighter box, a lot of the packages weigh less than 8 ounces. 8 ounces is almost a dollar cheaper than 9-12 ounces. Does that make sense?
We finally settled on this size because the boxes are so useful for other items. And, as silly as it sounds, it is easier for us to position the 4X6 mailing label on a slightly bigger box.
I have never, ever had a hat damaged in shipping. I've never had anyone complain about how they look when they get them. I think it's worth the little bit of effort it takes.
Very helpful TY
Thank you so much!
Where did u get the plastic wrap for the hats ??

So glad!
Thank you 😊 that was very helpful 👍🏼
I'm super happy to hear that!
Thanks - just sold my first baseball cap last night!
AWESOME! Congrats!
Very Nice!
Thanks!
So glad you did this. Thank you, sir.
Hats became one of my favorite things to sell once I had the shipping down pat.
What are some popular hats to sell ?
I LOVE the vintage 80's and 90's sports teams caps. I also love vintage farm caps. Especially those made by K-Products.
Thanks 👍🏽

Very good tutorial on cap shipping.
Thank you!
Great informative video! Thanks for the links

I've seen a few people do that and I think it's a great idea.
Where do I find the link for your boxes and bags?

Can two hats fit? (Trucker hat, baseball cap) is the box smaller in person than how it looks on video
I have put two hats in with no issue as long as you stack them together.

Very good tip! I've never had one get cut, but I'm sure it could.

This is the one that came with the Scotch tape at Sam's Club.
Can 2 hats fit in there ?
I can almost always get two hats in if they fit together well.
Thank you so much Scot. I so appreciate your "how to" videos :)
Thank you! I'm still working to make them more and more useful.
I'd love it if you put your eBay store link in the description!
I can do that. :-)
Thanks Scott ! I love to sell hats. I ship a lot of my hats in a 6x6x6 , or 7x7x6 if priority.
Hats can be sneaky valuable, easy to ship and RARELY get returned. I love hats.

That box is a great size for many things. I’ve sold a couple hats and a box is the way to go!
Great video! I do the same thing shipping hats but have been using an 8x6x4. 8x8 looks much better!
We finally settled on this size because the boxes are so useful for other items. And, as silly as it sounds, it is easier for us to position the 4X6 mailing label on a slightly bigger box.
Super easy! Thanks Scott!
I ship caps also and ship them just like you do. -Robyn Skrhak

I use the same size box but I wrap the hat in eBay tissue paper
I do like the idea of tissue paper as it would reduce the amount of plastic.
Nice job Scott! That's the only way to Ship a hat 💗 Have a great rest of your day 👩🌾
😎👍
