  • A Virginia homeowner consoled a FedEx driver after a brazen porch pirate snatched a package from her. The homeowner's doorbell camera captures the moment the thief steals the package right out of the FedEx driver's hands. The deliverywoman then explained to the homeowner, Jessica Saenz, what happened. Saenz says her husband's iPad was in the package. FedEx says "We are working with local authorities as they investigate this incident."

The moment any person brushes past her or walks behind or beside her, her reflexes will signal potential danger. Hopefully FedEx will cover any trauma therapy she needs. It might not be obvious in the first few months just how deep this impacts her. It might take a year later, walking along and having that someone is nearby. No doubt, if she had sensed the presence of this man, she probably assumed he was a visitor to the home, given he had parked in front. I just want to say that i hope this fedex driver became a little more aware of her surroundings. I am concerned that she didn't realize someone was walking right beside her. I am glad he just took the package and left her unscathed. I thought i was about to see her get attacked. There is something to learn from watching this video. Everyone needs to be more aware of their surroundings. The world is no longer a place where you can walk around without paying attention, unfortunately. You need to be on alert for theif and people who unfortunately mean you harm. Do not let your guard down. i am sad she and that homeowner learned it the hard way. The world is a scary place, and looking like it's about to get scarier.
