I like the fact that Deceit 's name is Earnest. Earnesty is like being honest, but ironic since Deceit is his nickname. Kinda clashes.
It helps to show both sides of him! He’s Thomas’s deceitful side, but that doesn’t mean he can’t be truthful at times as well!
Even better when you realize his whole design is based on duality, the most obvious being his scales
