  • The Rise Of Hurrem #90 - Hurrem Is In Charge of Harem Now! 👑 "THE ONLY SULTAN OF THE PALACE"
Click here to watch The Rise Of Hurrem 👉 • The Rise Of Hurrem - M...
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

I love how Hurrem completely goes into political side like gifting the pashas, donating for the poor after becoming the in charge of Harem. She really took her words( Harem is nothing, I will rule the world) seriously.

    I can't think Hurrem's character without Mereyem .
She is an unparallel lady ❤

Mahidevran, when gets in charge: spends money on clothes and gadgets, turning everyone hostile.
Hurrem: sends gifts and starts political friendships.
No wonder, the first one was alone. Like, I'm not a Hurrem's worshipper, but it shows mindsets

It's true. Mahidevran only thought of rivalry inside the harem and wrestling for Suleman's affection. She constantly created problems for him. Hürrem created solutions and loopholes for him. She gave him a view of what his Pashas did and said behind his back. She knew that money spent on luxuries for others returned much more benefits than buying jewels for herself. (And lol, she got a lot of swag just sitting there taking Mahidevran's jabs, because in the end, she couldn't be blamed for the expense of that very nice new hammam in the Valide's quarters that was now hers to use! ) In short, she was smarter and more mature despite being a hot tempered, manipulative brat who wouldn't share her man. I can't stand it when she provokes Mahidevran or Valide Hafsa to lash out and then plays all innocent in front of Suleyman and he lets her get away with it, but for all that she had a mean streak, she was much more competent in how she used her anger than Mahidevran or Hatice.

Well, I can't blame her for exploiting her enemies' weaknesses - I'd do the same 😎.
I also wouldn't share my men to anyone.
And of course I pity Mahidevran to some point, she was tossed aside like a toy and couldn't move on to start a new life. But as soon as she realized that Suleiman and her are over, she should focus on politics. And all she cared about was looking for a new concubine to replace Hurrem, despite the fact it gives her nothing. When she ruled the harem, she was taunting Hurrem in front of Hatice and Gulfem - witness, WHO could testify in front of Suleiman that she is to blame, just assuring him, that she never changed.
And no, I'm not saying that beating and poisoning Hurrem was ok.

@@weaviejeebies Those two bickering hens should have found a way to get along rather than trying to destroy each other. In the end they were family and if they just became friends Mehmed, Mustafa, Chihangir, Beyazid and many others would have lived happy long lives

@@nadeeshadissanayaka2015 true, Hürrem was selfish, petty, and headstrong. I never liked how she played so innocent in front of Suleyman. But each person has their critical faults, at least they didn't make Mahidevran 100% evil and Hürrem 100% good.

Despite how contrived the entire plotline is (i.e Suleiman apparently "knowing" Mahidevran will do what she did and still making her the manager of the harem ofer Hürrem) its still one of the most badass and iconic scenes in the show.

I doubt he did it in real life tough. Hurrem was his main political advisor. Also Ibrahim never married hatice. He married granddaughter of iskendar pasha.

Bad timing, I know. But this my favorite of Mahidevran’s “looks”. The color suits her perfectly, and I MUST HAVE her tiara. She absolutely regal…..while walking past the crown pledging loyalty to the woman who stole her man, her marriage, AND her control of the Harem. And who wears gold plated Jiffy Pop bags on her head. 12:53 Awk-ward!!!!

True that Hurrem is a very good manipulator, but her enemies lay literally everything at her feet. They spent their entire lives trying to outthink her when most of what they thought her guilty of was in their own imaginations.

It probably wouldn't have been entirely realistic given the sheer amount of the debt, but there's a part of me that almost thinks it'd be interesting for Hürrem herself to be able to manage to clear half and or all of the debt (kind of in a reflection of the women's different statuses and planning, but also...imagine Mahidevran's reaction 😅).

@@cubemissy That would not be just though. Why should Hurrem pay when Sultan's concubine messed up with her own budget? It happened because of Sultan's misjudgement. He should pay for his own concubine. Mahi isn't hurrem's responsibility
