Hurts the arches of my feet just looking at those heights, never could do heights, hats off to those brave guys doing that job....
The boys that work on these masts deserve WAY more money and recognition than they get! I’m happy enough at the bottom on the switchgear and power
That winch/cage thing looks absolutely terrifying! Wouldn't get in that thing for a million quid! Those guys must either be totally daft of have balls of absolute steel!
Cycle up to this every few days. Never get me up there.
Brilliant work, superbly executed. 👍🏻
Wow, a big thank you guys!
I find this stuff deeply interesting and had a few thoughts which I was hoping some more educated people here could answer. Is it correct that the radio/comms towers in the UK (concrete/steel lattice or otherwise) are actually build with the height in mind, purpose-built on certain land (not random) in order for a line-of-sight continuation? It intrigues me how much thought and planning goes into this...
I have climbed this tower for work 😀
Does that lift go up on the existing guy wires?
bilsdale aerial set on fire suposedly with lightening strike or was it lack of maintenance bet they were glad they didnt maintain it
Arquiva are liable for the fire and now they are trying to cover it up by blowing the mast up
