I agree with you. I hate the people that go in the bin stores and throw everything around not caring if they break it. I have actually got onto people acting like fools in the store by telling them to be more considerate and not break things that someone might want.
I’m all about the bins! Ha! Half the fun of thrifting is being able to spot the gold in a heap of trash and getting it for next to nothing. Loved the video. You should definitely make more!

You did just fine filming your video. I only shop the bins because the prices at our local Goodwill have been raised so much recently. I mainly shop garments for the fabric to upcycle and the bins are the best for finding the silk, cashmere, and special occasion fancy fabrics at a fraction of the cost sold at the regular GW. I don't find a lot but when I do they are definitely treasures.
I have been to a Goodwill bin store one tIme. I wore leather gloves and a mask. It was before COVID. I admire you for going through all those bins. Great haul!
Girl, this is the bins I accidentally found one time. My one and only time lol. There is a Goodwill bins in Galveston by the Super Target if you’re ever over there. I might try it next time Elizabeth has a Shriners appointment. My best friend went and told me about it. She said it was so good. I had no idea one was there. I’ll let you know. The crockery piece with the spigot is a beverage dispenser and the piece that you didn't know the purpose of was the pedestal the beverage dispenser rested on top of to give it height so glasses are able to fit under the spigot for ease of dispensing. Might be worth a trip back to the bins to see if it's still available for purchase. Dispenser is okay without a lid; the opening may be a large enough to mount a 5 gallon water bottle on top; I would have to see it in person to be sure. I used to sell spring water💧in 5 gallon bottles, along with various types of dispensers. This crock might be too small for a 5 gallon bottle, but if so, a smaller bottle could be found that would work from a home brew wine or beer-making equipment supplier. Or, if you didn't want to mount a water bottle on top, you could fill the crockery with the beverage of your choice and cover the top with a ceramic plate or bean pot cover. Either of those options could work if it's the right diameter.😊 If you can't get the crockery pedestal, an upside down crock with a flat surface, or a thick-walled crockery pet food dish with a flat bottom might also work.😊 As you know, necessity is the mother of invention, LOL‼️🤣😁🍂👱♀️ I would love to hear what solution you choose or decision you make.🤔*

Going to the bins is always an adventure for sure. Ours was much better pre covid shut down. I don't go much anymore. But have found great vintage to keep any sell. I think you found some cool things.
I would totally have got the crock and the iron trivet! put the trivet in your craft/sewing room, one always needs to iron things when crafting and sewing.

I used to work in that area, so I understand the safety issue. When I was there, that building was some sort of retail place and then a mission facility. I wasn’t aware it became a Goodwill at all!. I think I would try it at least once but I have heard since Covid, there aren’t as good as they used to be! Nice finds!

I really enjoyed this video. Please do consider making more of this type of video. I appreciate how restrained you are when you select the things you purchased. There were some saucers and tea cups, and some shakers or just really vintage bottles that looked like aluminum tops that I would have had to grab. Apparently, I want ALL the things. 😍
I think you did a great job showing us your dig at the bins. I would just imagine that you were the calm amongst the storm. Afraid to admit but a vintage Christmas sale would have me acting like a greedy, elbow-jabbing buyer so I try to give some grace to those reselling acting in that manner.

Hi Danielle, I say keep the bins hauls coming, you did a fine job videoing, it can’t be easy. We do not have a bins anywhere near where I live, but I enjoy seeing everything that everyone finds at them. The only thing I don’t like is seeing all the broken glass in the bins…be careful.
That trivet would've been for an actual antique iron to sit on so it wouldn't burn the bench. Those lace in frames are really popular, especially in cottagecore and primative decorating and that pedestal base would've gone with the water jug you purchased. Maybe go back and try get it as it would be good to go with the crock. I use one to make Kombucha as you don't need a lid, just cloth over the opening. I enjoyed this very much xx
I’ve never seen, nor do I think we have Goodwill bins here in VA. We have Goodwill, just not by the pound bins. I don’t know that I’d have the patience to sift through all of that. However, you definitely found some treasures for your home, which is so beautifully decorated. God bless!
3:55 that’s how they act at our bins. They grab a bunch of stuff & cram it into carts as soon as the new bins come out then they go off to the side to dig through the cart to see if they want anything they grabbed. It’s so annoying because they’ll usually put most of it back & by then the thrifters that would’ve bought the stuff have left!

My sister, mom, daughter and I go to Jefferson every year for the Christmas candlelight tour of homes. We have stayed at the excelsior many times and it is lovely.
Chattanooga, Tennessee's Goodwill Outlet is also in a very sketchy area. I haven't had any problems, but the area is so questionable, I don't go nearly as often as I would like. I haven't been there in over a year, and I don't think I would ever go alone.
A friend and I went to our bins, which is also in a bad area. We wore heavy gloves because of all the broken and sharp items. It was very chaotic and I don't think I'll go again.
