I agree with you. I hate the people that go in the bin stores and throw everything around not caring if they break it. I have actually got onto people acting like fools in the store by telling them to be more considerate and not break things that someone might want.

Girl, this is the bins I accidentally found one time. My one and only time lol. There is a Goodwill bins in Galveston by the Super Target if you’re ever over there. I might try it next time Elizabeth has a Shriners appointment. My best friend went and told me about it. She said it was so good. I had no idea one was there. I’ll let you know. We have to meet up and bins shop together one day. Have a great weekend!
You did just fine filming your video. I only shop the bins because the prices at our local Goodwill have been raised so much recently. I mainly shop garments for the fabric to upcycle and the bins are the best for finding the silk, cashmere, and special occasion fancy fabrics at a fraction of the cost sold at the regular GW. I don't find a lot but when I do they are definitely treasures.
You’re brave! Lol! Our bins are very tame compared to what you described although it is a frenzy when they bring out new bins and everyone lines up! People in MN are generally pretty polite so we have that working for us!
*Keep the BINS hauls coming, please Danielle❣🙏 Really nice camera work amongst all the chaos - and your selections were great. The crockery piece with the spigot is a beverage dispenser and the piece that you didn't know the purpose of was the pedestal the beverage dispenser rested on top of to give it height so glasses are able to fit under the spigot for ease of dispensing. Might be worth a trip back to the bins to see if it's still available for purchase. Dispenser is okay without a lid; the opening may be a large enough to mount a 5 gallon water bottle on top; I would have to see it in person to be sure. I used to sell spring water💧in 5 gallon bottles, along with various types of dispensers. This crock might be too small for a 5 gallon bottle, but if so, a smaller bottle could be found that would work from a home brew wine or beer-making equipment supplier. Or, if you didn't want to mount a water bottle on top, you could fill the crockery with the beverage of your choice and cover the top with a ceramic plate or bean pot cover. Either of those options could work if it's the right diameter.😊 If you can't get the crockery pedestal, an upside down crock with a flat surface, or a thick-walled crockery pet food dish with a flat bottom might also work.😊 As you know, necessity is the mother of invention, LOL‼️🤣😁🍂👱♀️ I would love to hear what solution you choose or decision you make.🤔*

Hi Sweetie, there is not a chance in the world that I would choose to shop in bin shopping! In fact it rather upsets me! Nothing is categorized at all…everything is layered and layered with everything mixed together! Really not safe to shop like this with glass or metal pieces in the stash that could get broken and you end up cutting or scratching yourself… And it bothers me that things can get so easily damaged by people being so rough when they are aggressively looking for resale items! I wouldn’t do well being around shoppers that are a tad rude or bullying for finds for themselves! Shopping in a theist store should be relaxing and a form of destressing…no pressure! Seriously! A real shame for things in these bins to get broken and damaged in the process! Makes me feel uptight just watching you be apart of this chaos… Sorry…just not for me! You’re a brave gal to tackle this!

You are SO brave to shop like this! I would find it is so hard to look through these totally disorganized, chaotic bins! Nothing is categorized and is just layer upon layer of everything piled together! What is the reason to put out so much stuff in one bin…glassware which is so breakable, mixed with metal and whatever else…..and too many aggressive thrifters aren’t careful with things! Not a safe way to shop! Whoa…vintage hats mixed with whatever! Sorry…not my thing! Rather upsetting to see the lack of respect for all the content inside these bins…so much would be damaged and not sellable anymore…what a waste! Not a wise way to recycle! This has nothing to do with you personally… I really enjoy thrifting…but this would exasperate me in short order!
I enjoyed this video very much. I thought your filming was really good all things considered. It must have been hard for you and I hope you were able to enjoy rummaging while filming. You showed more items in the bins than most thrifters that are shopping the bins. I can't wait to see your haul. I hope you kept some of the things that I saw you pick up and look at. I think you did a great job showing us your dig at the bins. I would just imagine that you were the calm amongst the storm. Afraid to admit but a vintage Christmas sale would have me acting like a greedy, elbow-jabbing buyer so I try to give some grace to those reselling acting in that manner.

Yeah, I tried going to the goodwill bins today for the first time. I walked in and walked right out. Nope. Not for me. Toooo many people and too much things flying around. It gave me anxiety.
Yeah, your bins are not much better than mine. Items worth having are few and far between. Mine was priced $1.29 for like decor household items. Purses were $1.99 which I didn’t know. Shoes $1.99 sucks. I am curious to see if some things actually work like lamp or candles. I like cast iron or metal too.

A friend and I went to our bins, which is also in a bad area. We wore heavy gloves because of all the broken and sharp items. It was very chaotic and I don't think I'll go again.

Hi Danielle, I say keep the bins hauls coming, you did a fine job videoing, it can’t be easy. We do not have a bins anywhere near where I live, but I enjoy seeing everything that everyone finds at them. The only thing I don’t like is seeing all the broken glass in the bins…be careful.
I have never seen or heard of a goodwill bins. That was crazy, I don't know if could handled that kind of digging and searching for stuff. You came with nice things though.

I get that vibe at the bins. Some people definitely have a system and no respect for the objects or other people. My husband, who doesn’t like Goodwills anyway, called it one step up from dumpster diving.😂😂😂
Does your bins do books by the inch? I paid per book. Unfortunately, my goodwill is pricing $2.99 for about everything.

I’ve never seen, nor do I think we have Goodwill bins here in VA. We have Goodwill, just not by the pound bins. I don’t know that I’d have the patience to sift through all of that.
However, you definitely found some treasures for your home, which is so beautifully decorated.

Yes, it was a pedestal. The crocks with a spigot handle can sit on them. Or use it just to elevate- maybe a potted plant
You did an amazing job filming and dodging aggressive bargain hunters. Thanks so much for doing this for us! I don't have a Goodwill bins in my area. Looks to be interesting for sure. You always find such unique décor accents for your sweet home when you thrift.
It was a stand for one of the crocks.
My first bins trip was very calm and fairly polite. I didn't see the negative behaviour that youtubers harp about ( and I know one that actually went to the same exact location). The I wasn't there at opening. The 'pros' were fairly chill there. No carts left though. I used a laundry basket I found there 😊 Even low pressure, size M-XL Merino sweater, North Face windbreaker, altard state tote, and a bunch else were still there. I had some restraint and put some other finds back. Next time I might get in the first run line earlier with the resellers at the start. Joining the most competitive people at the fist pick through line was polite- no pushing or crud - just find an open spot and pick through. Much like feeding from a trough. My fellow shoppers were more likely to say compliments or excuse me than give grief.
Sometimes I wonder if the content creators are those customers or viewers that complain about everything or are easily offended by a background object slightly ajar. There were things to complain about, if you need to complain, but why ruin your own day? It's not Saville Row, it's a super mega garage sale with next to no display effort. The showmanship of sales drives the price up. For 99% off retail, don't expect a department store experience. Nice video. Be Well. ❤

The way you described the bins is spot on and exactly how i described them, right down to the guy with the shopping cart filled with books and items flying every wear. Completly overwhelming, but exciting once the thrill of the hunt sinks in.😂

Wow they charge alot! Books at our Southern Oregon GW bins are .25 each, and the rest of the items are charged 1.25/lb. glass and electronics are .50 cents/lb. I filled 3 cool vintage suitcases and a large tote bag and only paid $25!!
I would totally have got the crock and the iron trivet! put the trivet in your craft/sewing room, one always needs to iron things when crafting and sewing.
Great haul! I would have picked out most of those same things! The iron trivet and the crock were my favorite pieces. How cool that you sold the yo-yo 🪀 string for $4.50! I didn’t really enjoy watching you shop the bins because of all the fast moving and so much of the stuff in the bins was poor quality, but I would always enjoy watching a haul from the bins. (I will still watch, though, even if you film the shopping part. 😊)
3:55 that’s how they act at our bins. They grab a bunch of stuff & cram it into carts as soon as the new bins come out then they go off to the side to dig through the cart to see if they want anything they grabbed.
It’s so annoying because they’ll usually put most of it back & by then the thrifters that would’ve bought the stuff have left!
The thing that pisses me off about the bins is that people will open up boxes like board game boxes, then throw the contents out...You can look at the box cover and decide if you want it or not, no need to open and dump everything out.. Once I was looking at a picture and this lady picks up a kids stroller and throws it on the picture completely destroying it without a care in the world.

Those Salem Northstar plates at 3:38 are worth a lot of money. I used to collect them. MCM folks love them. Our bins here in SWFL are terrible. Full of crap. I do find some practical stuff once in a while though so sometimes worth a look. You're right though, people turn into animals at the bins. Crazy and unnecessary.
I couldn't take what you described. It's just more proof how low our country has sunk IMHO. I think I'd wear a mask and gloves even without a pandemic.That aside I saw some stuff I liked. Saw a salad plate that matches some vintage plates I have.
I wouldn't be able to go the bins if they had them in my area because I would want to 'rescue' sssooooooo much!!...yikes!!....great finds though!!...
At our bins if something weighs over 10 pounds they will just set a price. Usually around $5. The crock looked pretty heavy. Maybe yours is the same.
Goodwill bin video was good. But not as good as your others. So maybe every once and a while. You let us know to be prepared to dig. Be sure to take some surgical gloves with you next time you go. Too many shoes mixed in everything.

The bins in Las Vegas is very aggressive! I got pushed by some man who wanted in where I was, being retired LE I don’t play that and pushed him back and told him if he touched me again I was going to make wish to hell he hadn’t! Apparently this guy did this all the time😡 well that day he met his matched cause he stayed far away from me !

I love the bins, new at it too, but there are crazy people there, and stay away from certain ones, and told one lady to just chill as the items where hitting people. One person ran and she was sent back to the beginning. but I do find some great items for a better price. so will continue
You described the bins here in Ct to a t. I try to go a few times a month, but the people that come are really aggressive and nasty. Many of the people are resellers that go, and then there are a bunch of people who are there and fill there carts with mainly clothing. I found out later that people sebd clothing back to different countries which is cool. However one man who is always there is pretty ruthless. I have even witnessed fights over vintage T shirts. The bins are a special place.
I enjoy all your thrifting videos, including the bins. The closest GW bins store to me is several hours' drive away so I have never been to one. I have heard it's chaotic.

I’ve stayed at the Excelsior House in Jefferson Texas ! Many famous Presidents have also stayed there.
Goodwills in California are so overpriced. I've seen original prices on an item from a store and goodwill prices them higher than what the store sold it for and it's used!! And free!
I went to the bins at Goodwill in Seattle last month. I bought a fleece pullover and t-shirt for $1.64;
