Etsy & TikTok are not available in many countries, and Amazon doesn’t approve accounts. Could you suggest the best marketplace to start POD before launching a Shopify store.
Getting started is no where near the hardest part lmao, it takes seconds if that to make a name and a logo and a TikTok account, getting the views and sales is clearly the hardest part
Thank you so much for this video, Alek! I'm really wanting to start working with TikTok. Looking forward to any future tutorials you can provide! I hope you have a blessed Thanksgiving!
Etsy is not that easy for a beginner, a decent listing, and I mean ONE, takes me 2 hours to make, when I want to make the mockups look good, hit the nail on the head with the title and tags etc., so it’s not just slapping a graphic on a shirt and up you go. That gives a bit of a false impression. It’s WORK.
Thanks for posting this video. I am an Etsy seller (14 mos) and have a bit of traction but only about 760 sales. I would love to leverage Tik Tok and have been trying to figure out how I could do this. Here's my challenge; I am 65 years old, have recently undergone a few surgeries, and am uncomfortable with being in videos. Also, to do this with POD, wouldn't you have to get samples on ALL listings to show in videos? That wouldn't be reasonable or even doable so there must be a way that I am not understanding. Can you give me some direction on how to move forward with this without being in videos AND how to move forward without having to buy all your items to show?
Hi! I’m new at this but think I can help. The example he gives in this video says the woman doesn’t even appear on camera while showing the product in use. I think as far as samples/models, I think I learned in another video of his a while back that you use imprints or something like that…the image of the product is digitally produced on a fake model…it’s like how they green screen films, but it’s photoshopped. So you don’t have to show physical samples, you can create the images showing the product digitally. A lot of sites have these for use already, I think printing might. Anyway I’m off to learn more but saw your comment and at least wanted to try to help!
You wouldn't have a make a video about every single item you're selling. That's why I pointed out in the video that people are ranking organically in search without making videos
Thank you Alex. Isn’t it true that Print on Demand requires up front investment because the seller (me) must pay for the inventory and production BEFORE their product is printed? In other words, we do not receive money from the buyer ahead of time in order to fund the production. From my experience, having to pay for this up front, along with listing fees (ie on Etsy) can really add up. I appreciate this video, which is very informative, and would love another video on how to set up and operate a TikTok shop WITHOUT having to spend any (or very little) money.
You'll need a little bit of money to get going, but realistically you could start for as low as maybe $10-$50 if you're really penny pinching. But let's be real, if someone's not willing to invest into a business - they're not going to make it. POD is as close to free as it gets, but that shouldn't be the reason you start the business. It still requires a time and money investment.
Hey Alek, I've been watching your videos for a long time now and I really like what you do. Could you please add timestamps in your future videos please? Thanks! 😊
When you do Print on Demand, when a customer made an order should you be paying from your own money for every production cost (e.g. Printify) or the customer for it to be produced & sent? When it should be paid? How does it work? Could you do PoD with virtually no money other than your design skills?
You don't need any money up front or to start, if the shirt costs say $12 to produce via your POD service then just charge $20 for your shirt on your TikTok shop, so when someone purchases it from your shop you then use $12 of that $20 to get the shirt printed and you keep the $8 as profit, it's that simple
@@ItsTonyMc I thought like that at first however after I read on Printify & some other PoDs, they actually charge your card for every production cost since they don't have access to money the customer paid you through your shops e.g. Etsy. And these shops like Etsy only pay you the next month. So if you have limited $ & you got orders bigger than your $ they won't get produced. Except for Printify Pop Up store. If you have a Printify Pop Up store they don't charge your card because Printify has direct access to the customer's payments since the shop is in their domain. The downside of Printify POS, it's not available in every country. I'm looking for PODs which don't charge your card & available for designers in all countries.
Yo i got a question: do you think dropshipping is worth it i watch videos and i try to make a store but i just feel like it wouldnt workout and i feel like people overhype droppshipping
Great content Alek! The one thing Im struggling to grasp right now is the concept of organising multiple accounts. For example, when you talk about selling on a Tiktok shop, and also earning with affiliaite fees on with products on tiktok shop, would that require two seperate tik tok accounts? And thats before the idea of multiple etsy stores, and multiple analytics and POD suppliers, all of which requite different email addresses to log in with. Any pointers, or a video on the subject, would be great! Thanks
I've made over $1M in less than 3 years as a POD seller on Etsy, based in Sweden. It's definitely possible to do POD on Etsy, even if you live outside the US and only want to sell your POD items there. Food for thought 💡
I Hit 110k today. Thank you for all the knowledge and nuggets you had thrown my way over the last months. Started last month. Financial education is indeed required for more than 70% of the society in the country as very few are literate on the subject. thanks to Margaret Alex for helping me achieve this..
Great video! BTC’s institutional backing and ETH’s upgrades enhance their value. DOGE, despite volatility, has momentum. I think there’s a chance in new cryptos. I’ve put $5,000 into XAI21K. Anticipating great results! 🚀

Sadly, if you can't make Etsy work, you'll have a hard time making anything work 😬
@@alekSheffyThat’s not true.

At first you'll need to pay upfront, and eventually you'll have enough cashflow to cover costs
