Definitely some good options here. My crews for solos are: Ship 1 - Sisko as captain with Miles and Lorca. Ship 2 - Chakotay as captain with Janeway and 7of9. Paris below deck for mitigation. Ship 3 - 5of11 as captain with 6of11 and Khan. I tend to prefer mitigation rather than piercing vs armadas. If I can get both that's great.

You mentioned you haven’t figured out a way to get criticals on all 3 ships, so I thought I’d share my setup. From largest ship to smallest: 1. Sisko(critical officer)/Miles/5 (I focus on max loot, be sure to have the doctor below!) 2. Chacotay(critical officer)/Janeway/Torres (need Tom Paris below decks for mitigation). 3. Bev/Khan(critical officer)/Lorca The third ship is there to mostly absorb damage and provide officer abilities to the two primary ships. Another popular configuration would include Pike/Moreau/Eurydice for the third ship, but I like mine better because it adds criticals and hull breach. It should also be noted that Hugh doesn’t work on armadas, but Odo does (referring specifically to their below deck abilities).
@@GrandAdmiralHunter I'll normally make sure I can do all three types in each system, and monitor my progress on the epics, before I go up to the next levels. So far I'm able to kill the epic 50's in Jem and Borg systems. Since I was away from the game for a year a while back, I've been mostly playing the catch up game... So far so good I suppose 😎🍺
My general crew setup for solo armadas, on my Korinar I use 5,6, Khan stack for attack, with a mix of health skewed to attack. Just recently maxed my 6. Made a noticeable difference. Second ship is the Kelvin, use my DS9 crew, though I may try using Dax in the captain seat. Normally use Bashir on the side. Third ship I use Bev as captain, Lorca and Gorgiou on the side. Stack heavy for defense for her ability. As an ops 49 I'm easily killing 55 epic solo armadas. I may buff the biggest ship. With Lorca and Gorgiou, i not only get hull breach, but with Gorgiou I get 1% hull damaged per round.
That's exactly the crew I'm using and also at ops 49. Mainly because those new officers like Dax, Chakotay and Janeway are at low rank, making them less useful. The only draw back of this setup is the ship with Beverly deals less damage due to less crit. Probably I will switch seats of Lorca and Bashir, as Sisko with Miles would have enough mitigation and crits.
I am still a bit unsure about Dax because you loose the mitigation from Sisko. My current setup is Sisko, Miles, Bashir on Vorcha, 5, 6, Khan on Sompek (Dr. below deck) and Chakotay, 7of9, Janeway on either Vorcha or Defiant with Paris below. I also have Torres below for hullbreach.
Thanks for the advice!! I haven't started doing solos myself yet. Just made it to level 35 a week ago. I have 2 questions - 1) will this work with Borg Solo's? 2) What is the ship you were using to mine the Gas? I appears to have a cargo capacity of over 10M.
I use this same approach to the Borg solos except I use the talios instead. I have a g5 miner (nova) that I use to mine in token space in the bajoran/jemhadar region. It is t1 and has 13m cargo capacity. It mines somewhere in the 300k per hour range. Pretty cool way to stock up on materials and you can get the tokens for g4 and g5 in token space through the bajoran faction
Dax is really good for piercing stats but you give up mitigation so that is a judgment call. I have had good success but it depends on your ships and level of target. I always put Paris below decks for mitigation when I use dax. Doctor as an officer is to provide mitigation when I don’t want to take as much damage. I used 7 for a while but my ship as taking a beating without the doctor there. Sometimes it is a balance because I know I can do more damage but then I would find I had to repair more often.
Just a oversight. You are right that lower deck can have a big impact like tom Paris for mitigation. My main focus on this video was to discuss the bridge setups and why I chose certain setups. Another reason why I sometimes pass over some information is that it sometimes makes my videos a lot longer and people tend to pass over videos if they are too long.
I am pretty sure that the bajoran store opens up at ops 35 and you need it open so you can turn in the hostile loot for the solo armada directives. I would need to check on the borg solos but I think they are similar in needing to be ops 35. The good news is that you can start planning which g3 epic you want to focus on and start saving parts and materials so you are ready to go as soon as you hit ops 35.
Prob worth testing since janeway does good isolytic damage. Of course if you get enough mitigation with Paris below decks you could go with chakotay janeway and 7

I am confused why you use Dax as captain over Sisco. Also why the doctor as an officer over 7 of 9?

Just went to lvl 32. Can any solo armadas be taken down without G3 epic ship? Or should I wait til lvl 34 or 35?

I remember when i first hit solo armadas, I used a sala, d3, and a vidar. Took a few attempts with crews but got there.
