Later on in the episode Jimmy started genuinely helping Grian, using his spectator powers, and was heartbroken when he died.
I wish that was animated....imagine bird jimmy in knight armor.
I wonder if Martyn saw the perspective of Jimmy warming Grian that Martyn was sneaking up on them.

There's two things I loved about that entire thing. Jimmy's commands often backfired and both ZombieCleo and Etho did things Grian asked for without questioning it, while completely ignoring their own tasks during the entire thing.
1:55 oh 100%, scar burnt all their bookshelves the session before and etho grinded everything back before the session, so his reaction is him thinking it’s been destroyed again like 15 minutes in and also being so exhausted from being sick that he’s just internally screaming
This trio has 0 bs, but when they decide to go along with something it's 100%. Like Etho doing the woof or leaning into the zombie dance
Jimmy’s surprise ghost moment has some pretty fun lore implications~
if i remember correctly, in the lore stream he said the reason he came back was because he wasn’t in enough suffering when he died (because he wasn’t first out) so the watchers brought him back for more suffering

I’m pretty sure the dead have lore now too, they fly above the lands and watch the chaos happen 😂
@@Bengt2509 Well, that sure backfired if so. Aside from getting briefly snubbed by reminiscing players, he had the best time ever. Also I'm pretty sure he's the only player ever seen on a Life server in creative mode... not that he did much with it, and his reveal at the end of the session might be as non-canon as it gets, but it's still interesting to think about. I'd like to think the premature funeral caused a lot of weirdness and confusion.

man etho and grian on the same team was a dream come true
I just wish it had happened earlier in the season, those three could have been an even bigger force if a lot of dynamics weren't already kind of determined at that point.
Thanks so much Martyn! I wish I'd put more effort into this animatic in retrospect but in the case that you see this comment, this was one of my best moments of life. It seriously did wonders to the little me who's still trying to crawl out of a dark place!

Cleo’s wow was because Gem gave Etho the flint and steal Cleo had given Gem like 30 seconds ago.
It is a very common mistake though, people use it as a response to Grian in animatics and out of context videos a lot, it just looked like that from Grian's perspective
Every day I regret not putting a disclaimer into my video that I'm aware of this because so many people are so ungodly bothered by a tiny bit of artistic liberty

Fun fact: From Cleo's perspective, she gave Gem a flint and steel as a gift, and Gem gave Grian the gift, which was why she was like, "Wow. Regifting!" It was just perfect timing with Grian saying, "You say sorry really weird."😅😂
The WOW from Cleo was actually because Gem regifted to Etho but admittedly it was IMPECCABLE timing
I still think the funniest moment is still where bdoubleo told gem he considered her a friend and it not reciprocated. And gem just flat out tells him it’s not and asked him what does he want as if she was annoyed at him.
“Wow. I consider you a FRIEND. Apparently it’s not RECIPROCATED.”
“It’s not. What do you want.”
My fave is when grian destroyed the bookshelfs n low key gaslit the next person into it😂

I see alot of people saying Cleos reaction was from what grian said but it was the fact that Gems reconcillation gift to Etho was the same gift Cleo gave Gem 5 mins ago.
It also works well as Cleo reacting to Grian but semantics

Somebody made the argument that, since Lizzy died in the End, Jimmy still has the Canary Curse in the Overworld?
Don't know what to think about that..
The layman explanation for this bit of lore is that "Lizzie fell off into End's bottomless pit, so she still was falling - alive and well, - when Jimmy died to that warden", hence "Jimmy still - technically, - was the first one to clinically die"

Her "WOW" wasn't aimed at Grian it was aimed at Gem because not a minute earlier she had given Gem the very same flint and steel that she just gifted to Etho. So it was a wow at her giving away the present THAT fast. In fact if you listen you can here she says something about regifting. It was just so perfectly timed with Grians comment that it worked.
That little bird was pure evil and it's so funny that it was drawn so cutesy.
0:53 this part keeps getting misinterpretted since it's only really clear what happened from Gem's pov. Earlier, Cleo gave Gem a flint and steel, then just here Gem gave the flint and steel to Etho as an apology gift, in front of Cleo, which is what they say "wow" about. kinda funny and interesting how different animators have interpretted this scene (which I don't have a problem with, just wanna point out what the situation actually is)

Grian saying “you say sorry weird” wasn’t what triggered Cleo to be shocked and say “wow”. If you listen closely you can say Cleo continue with the word “regifting”.

Gem was a pop star and the closest thing to a bird for Grian I can remember was the egg base he had for a half episode.

Gem: probably her love for nature (building wise) but not entirely sure
