Some of my greatest memories in 2022 were from Nurse Liz Videos. Also the live videos & guest panel contributors. It’s heart breaking Nurse Liz isn’t around now days! There was SO much we were learning! There was So much value myself & all my neighbors got from being active on your channel. We absolutely miss you & our TH-cam experience is significantly lessened without Nurse Liz updating us & keeping us sharp. We all miss you & thank you for all the memories. Please consider a return!! Please, please, please!
Not sure youll see this comment. But i really appreciate yoy posting your personal journey with anxiety and depression. I rewatch your videos whenever I feel like giving up on my lexapro and finding an alternative path. Ive been dealing with severe depression for years and finally got help. Its been a little over 3 weeks and oh my gosh what a rollercoaster! One day I feel like Im great and the next morning I start it off by crying and being frustrated. So, I really appreciate as a nurse your personal take on antidepressants and anti-anxiety medications. It's been very helpful.
I avoid artificial sweeteners but because they mess with my stomach and I seem to deal with more inflammation when I do consume them. This list is ridiculous.
Here I am, working a night shift, drinking my Coke Zero, and watching this video 😅 Thanks for the education, I always learn something from your videos!
Thanks for video. Literally halfway through YT asserted a commercial from BigFood/BigPharma saying how safe appertain is… I hate YT algorithms. And I have avoided the stuff for over 40 years. I hate how it’s creeping into way more foods other than Diet soda. 🙃
As a general rule I do not consume anything that has artificial sweeteners, aspartame or otherwise. They cause me to feel sick and give me migraines. I am kind of concerned how much artificial sweeteners are used outside of "sugar-free" or "diet" products and that are available for children to consume. It just doesn't seem healthy for them. I know that a child with phenylketonuria has to avoid them but I haven't read up if artificial sweeteners are harmful for healthy children, no phenylketonuria dx.
They are definitely in a bunch of stuff. Which is so hard when they cause things like inflammation and migraines for some people. It's wild in general how much sweeteners (sugar included) are in all of our foods. That could be a whole different tangent
Girl, we do have human RCTs on sweeteners and gut microbiome. They do not harm our microbiome. There’s also several studies that nonnutritive sweeteners decrease cravings and help with satiety
I'll look for those! When I was checking for this video I found a ton of mixed evidence all over the place.Hoping they get enough on both areas that they can release a good meta-analysis on it
Studies abound for everything, though. I'm with you, I don't care about it, but there are studies showing an increase in insulin on consumption of aspartame. Don't believe it, but apparently they exist. I'm scrupulous about these things, though, so I haven't read 'em, nor will I ever.
I will never, ever, ever stop consuming red meat and Diet Coke. Ever. The only way you could get me to stop is a large sum of money. Maybe I'll take a million dollars. MAYBE.
But then… what would you buy with a million dollars if NO Diet Coke, what’s the point :( But seriously, Diet Coke w flavor added is just like… divine. I don’t smoke cigarettes, I’m generally eating a very healthy diet, I exercise, so I will allow myself Diet Coke.
the problem is not about it being a carcinogen, the problem is the FDA approving it to be used as a sweetener for our everyday products like diet soda. I knew that aspartame is more dangerous than sugar, but an organization that has all the resources couldn't figure it out. Hmm...so, much to say about our institution's design to protect the masses
Thanks for the information..and there are TH-cam channels like MK lovlif who lambast against cancer patients and their families. She laughs at the misery of cancer suffering.... can't we do anything about it?

Hi Liz, I just started watching your channel, I stumbled upon it while looking up pathophysiology tips. I wanted to purchase your NP binder, but says it is not available. Is it going to be soon?
Hey Liz, quick question I am an Adult Gerontology Acute care NP and I am interested to start tele health. Unfortunately cannot find any information if it’s in my scope of practice. Do you know if Telehealth is only exclusively for FNPs?
The Diet Coke aspartame turns into formaldehyde once it hits body temperature in other words your embalming your insides we learned this probably before you were born in my Chemistry classes at university of Kansas City Missouri we were warned about the stuff long long ago
Can we say "because" in that way? I might drink soft drinks with aspartame because I eat junk and I think it's better. A friend and I used to joke about ordering diet coke with our crappy lunch, but, whilst I don't recommend that lunch, it is objectively better with the diet drink. I don't think much of the crap epidemiology out there tells us the because.
I'm rather surpised and disappointed that a nurse is defending aspartame. Like you said, you can find any research that supports your bias, thanks for sharing yours.
Every once in a while i come to see , if you are actually seeing what is going on yet. Your downplay of this is staggering and alarming. Do no harm. Does that mean anything to you. So you trust " the who " when its convenient for you but feel you are more intelligent than them , also when it is convenient for you. Im curious do you get paid by any of these non government no elected regulating entities? Obviously its a question i do not believe you would answer honestly if you did. Yes aspartame is a dangerous carcinogen. The who rolls these warnings out when the synthetic food industry is ready to roll something new out so everyone will switch. This is not rocket science.

My university chemistry professor warned our class about the dangers of aspartame years ago. Very intelligent man!
Where have you been? Can we get an update to say your okay or something

hahaha the ad gods are creepy like that a lot. Sweeteners (including sugar) are in SO many things. It's insane.

Mini Anapana can also be very helpful for all nurses of the world.

What’s more carcinogenic than sugar?
Ah yes, the white powder that has probably claimed more lives than any other white powder. Now I’m curious about the stats.
a study comparing which is more harmful would be really interesting
Hi Liz!! I'm not able to find Dr. C's podcasts anywhere. They seem to be unavailable. Do you know another platform I can find his lectures?
Liz! Where did you say the wall art in your office was from? I think you posted it on Instagram but I forgot!

Hi Liz! Is your NP binder still available? Thank you!
not me getting an “aspartame is safe” propaganda ad right before this video. 😂
lol thats the internet for ya
Thank you for continuing to defend my beloved Diet Coke against this slander 😂

Are you going to do a video on Lucy the British nurse found guilty of killing babies.
Don’t come at my Diet Coke!
RIGHT?! BACK AWAY SLOWLY

Sorry off topic- is it normal to be asked what “ what are your pronouns” on a job application? What has this got to do with nursing?
