Thanks Ulf & Lee. I used to use the feature with Spektrum but didn't realise it was possible with OpenTX. Now I see it is, just not a single tick in a box. I think I'll nip into companion and change all mine as I find the right trim hard to find with my left hand which means I have to glance down. As you know, this can be a bad thing!!
One thing I've been wondering, is how can some of the things that go into special functions in models be set up globally. For example, if I had many models, and wanted a throttle lockout and instant trim on the same switches always or possibly something more complex? I couldn't find a way for the throttle lockout (throttle override to -100) to be defined in global functions, for example. It's easy in special functions, but that means you need to do it in every model, and since it's a safety thing, it would be best if it could be global so it will work on any model that has throttle on the default throttle channel.
HI I have just got aTX16S for my sins I am a Taranis owner so while getting to grips with it copying models across and so forth I noticed something. Now the battery (2 cell LiION 7.4v 5.0 AH) came before the TX so I thought I would charge the said battery, the TX arrived I noticed that the battery monitor was not showing a full battery I then proceeded to charge with the supplied lead using my computer after waiting for eternity the green light went out and the monitor showed a full battery . My Hota charger and battery checker recon it was full ???????
I remove the batteries from any radio to charge. I don't trust the inbuilt chargers and would prefer the battery to have an issue outside of the radio. Sorry I can;t be more help on this one. Best of luck!
There is a battery voltage adjustment to correct the reading on the TX16 display. I don’t know if that relates to the charge circuit but it would make sense if it did. Short job using the balance plug to a battery checker and adjusting from menu while powered on
This cross trim programming is REALLY useful. Thanks! Whoe! I just realized that my Eachine TX16S and the Radiomaster TX16S both have trim switches T5 and T6! What are those for and how can they make flying easier? - Jim
I've set mine to callout battery voltage and rssi. You can disable the trim sounds in flight modes tab in opentx (change trim to :0 to disable it), but that button will not work as a trim anymore.

I've never heard of cross trim before - what a blindingly simple good idea! I'm going to try it out next time I go flying.
Isn't that flexibility of OTX/EdgeTX great!
Never thought of cross trims, very usefull. Might use this on my acro planes where there's no FC in it. Thanks
Excellent Lee. Thanks and keep up the good work
Oh... That can be really useful indeed! 😃
Thanks a lot, Lee!!!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

I'm not aware of a way to do tha - apart from copying the model. If you find something, please let me know... Best of luck
Great stuff! Very useful
Great idea, but for me personally that would confuse my muscle memory!

Cross trim and intant trim doesnt work together any suggestions
If you are using the latest version of whichever firmware then I'd let the developers know via a bug report on Github.. Best of luck!

You can use them for anything you want including something like cross trim... Happy flying
