This could simply being a guy showing character and putting a team first attitude out there instead of an immature whiney entitled ***** like certain Winnipeg Jets prospects who put me first above all else.
Dude. This is the opposite of concern. He's saying he wants to be his best version of himself before going to North America. He also says he wants to stay in Russia for another year before leaving. What is concerning??? Whoops. Oh he's playing in the VHL?? Cry me a river. He's gonna still be in harder competition then before while playing top line minutes. And if your really not happy with that either then just think how Demidov probably will go from that 13th forward to a middle- top 6 forward later on.
Unless I misunderstood, demodov was asked if he’s the 13th forward and he replied by saying he doesn’t know and he’ll see how the situation plays out. A very media trained and humble response I don’t think there’s anything to worry about he never really said anything
It could also mean he gets to watch how the pro leagues are, sure talent wise he’s more than capable of playing in the KHL… but what I’m saying is that, him living the pro life and being surrounded by players who’ve been in the show can guide him or let him know what to expect. It might not be all bad. Who knows, maybe the coach wants him to work his way up as he should.
VHL is like the AHL in Russia, right? MHL I know is Junior AAA like CHL, I just never am too sure if VHL players are considered professionals like AHL players.
KHL teams are given two ‘bonus’ lineup spots to dress U20 players, so he will still at least be on the bench for SKA (as opposed to eating peanuts in the stands) even if he’s the 13th forward. Spending a year in the pro environment will be crucial for his development no matter how much or little ice time he gets.
I didn't watch the video, but what if he said the opposite. I'm going to be hopefully a Top Line forward on this team. I think it would sound weird and it's probably healthier to have a humble approach.
Demidov was in the MHL last year, not the VHL. The Habs can't offer money to buy out his contract, it's against the rules. SKA could release Demidov on their own account but the Habs can't push to pay them out.
Honestly it's known that he's a very humble guy and he knows he needs to prove himself to get into the top 9 in the KHL. So it's very likely knowing he's a younger guy he feels he's the 13th forward heading into camp that needs tobprove himself
Mitchkov couldn’t cut it on his khl team and was demoted. He also has an attitude problem. Sounds like a yukapov clone. Habs will play him in Laval or Habs if SKA does not give him a decent amount of playing time because they don’t trust rookies. We are not saying generational as much as top line star winger.
The art of talking endlessly about nothing… If you ever get grand kids, you’ll kill them by boredom with never ending one way discussion with zero substance. FFS man…
He's probably the most talented forward in that team, just buy his contract and bring him here.
yeah that's why he is number 13 lol
@@nadaduo1765 Yeah and we all those those rankings are crazy accurate.
@@nadaduo1765because the khl isn’t a league known playing their rookies over their vets…

He was in the MHL last year. The VHL is still a pro league.

Oh no!!!
Demidov might come to Habs sooner than expected.
That would be horrible…

They will take the money asap, believe me.
Just give them money and beer it's all good go HABS 😊
The KHL announced that NHL clubs could certainly buy out contracts after leaving for independence from the Russian Hockey Federation
Get him over here
Demidov can pay it once he signs his rookie contract.
Anytime you draft there is akways a risk deals between NHL and other keagues it wont work, have to see how it ends up
Hes going to play the whole season in the VHL.
Everyone knew this was a risk when drafting him. Its not the end of the world

glad to see kids being coddled and being just giving things earn it like prospects use to have to
Lmao no way people are shocked about that when it was expected lmfao
Oh man, I'm really concerned. Not sure though, about what.
Chill out, if after a few weeks he’s not playing enough we’ll find a way to get him here.
I’m concerned you concerned
Win win situation for the habs either he plsys in khl for a year or habs bring him over and does a year in laval
Playing in the VHL would hold him back
The Montréal Canadiens have an agreement with SKA. If Demidov is not playing KHL, he is coming to North America.
do you have a legit source behind this ?
Yes, Kent Hughes. Did you not hear this?
lol
habs fans really making out this guy is generational and he's gonna be spending his draft plus one in the vhl 😂
