It was an overpayment from the start. I love zadorov personality and hitting players like a truck. BUT that term and cap hit what would be 3rd pairing minutes on any other team isn't worth it. Spending that money on say henien and sherwood is the better investment
Last summer many older UFAs got long term contracts. I'm wondering how some of these contracts are going to age as these players contracts go to their mid to late thirties. I'm thinking of Zaradov and Lindholm on the Bruins, but there are lots of other examples throughout the league.
So some Bruins fans on Reddit want DeBrusk & Heinen back and have buyers remorse on Z. Come playoff time they won’t be complaining. It’s 7 games into the season. There’s no way to say this was a good or bad signing yet.
have you seen the bruins terrible stats? especially defensively. im neutral on the subject but signing elias lindholm and zadorov hasnt helped the bruins at all this season so far lol
Obviously zedorov was a good player got our club but some forget we had a better record without him and lindholm. We’ll be just fine and competitive with this roster if everyone buys into the new system changes.
I think Boston fans had been spoiled with their previous "giant" with Chara lol I watched one Boston game so far this season, and the two most dominant players by far in that game were Zodorov and Lindholm lol Comparing a massive D man, to a smallish forward is not a great way to compare penalty minutes Zodorov will be a menace who also can put up points. He pretty good 🤷🏼♂️
hey no problem don. we'll send back forbort, you send back zadorov and retain 50% and we'll call it a day. lol. yes i'm a bruins hater and i'm a member of a very large tribe with branch offices in every NHL city in the league.
I think the whole Zadorov discussion and debate last year circles around more on what value he deserves rather than what he is going to do for the team. I think most people feel that Zadorov is going to be a middle or bottom pairing d-man for the regular season, but his game is well-suited for the playoffs and he can turn into a monster like he did last year. That package is who he is, and the Canucks decided he wasn't worth the money and Boston felt he is... If he steps up for the Bruins in the playoffs, I think Bruin fans would say the investment is still worth the while.
@@rare_name420 I am merely trying to explain why I think the Canucks brass decided to not sign Zadorov - you look at last season's performance, he was so-so during the regular season, and then a beast in the playoffs. Based on that, the Canucks decided not to sign him for the amount he was asking for. Boston decided to pay him - they see the same stat line as the Canucks did, but decided to pay him anyway. If he turns beast mode again and actually help the Bruins win a Cup, one may argue that it is money well spent. Whether that argument is agreeable to you (or to me for that matter) is neither here nor there.
To be fair with Ian Cole. He had stitches on his ankle. This really wasn’t talked about until the offseason. Explains why he was a lot more slower and terrible in the playoffs lol
Nobody wanna call me out on my absolute disdain for hampster limphome ? Watching the Dallas game ? He's a pylon and has zero d ability. He hits no one. Takes no specific player. He's like having the world's skinnier useless goalie getting in swaymans way. 6 million dollar narshmallow

Dakota coming back soon will be massive when he gets his timing up to par

It worked out well for both parties. Zedorov got term and overpayed and Allvin got what he needed to improve the team.

first boston has to make the playoffs with zadorov.
boston being 5/8 in their division and 19th in the standings says Hi!
@@SleeCee 7 games in and you’re suggesting Boston won’t make the playoffs??? 🤣

So teams should sign players solely based on what they can do in the playoffs.... tf are you smoking bud
