THANK YOU very much for this great documentary and the insight into the very personal work of STING and his fellow musicians!!! I saw STING and his two musicians in Montreux this year. We were at the front and had the feeling we were getting a private concert. What a presence, what a legend and still at heart a seemingly down-to-earth person, despite his great successes. Respect, respect, respect!!! An acquaintance and concert-goer saw him briefly while walking in the middle of Montreux. I got the music list with notes from STING from the staff. I gave it to my girlfriend, who is of course overjoyed to have something so personal from Sting.I wish Sting, his family and friends BEST HEALTH, lots of joy and hope to see him, his extraordinary musician friends again and I'm excited to see what we hear and see from Sting.
@@drummerjeroensimons I actually had the pleasure to meet him on the streets of NY back in 2016! He really is down to Earth and very personable and polite as well! I've been a fan of his music for years, especially since I'm a bass player/musician myself.
Jeroen Simons I completely agree with you. I actually met him in front of Pianos in Brooklyn, NY. He was there to support his daughter, Eliot, who put on a brilliant musical performance that evening. You should've seen my reaction when I realized that Sting and his wife, Trudie, were standing right behind me! It's definitely a moment that I'll never ever forget! I was so touched that he was there to support his daughter. Mine simply abhorred the fact that I became a musician which is ironic because he was the one who actually introduced me to the bass guitar and was a guitarist himself! He just didn't like the idea of me playing in a band or in a bar while men hit on me on stage. He was also worried that I would end up on drugs but he really had no need to worry. His negative experiences with drugs and alcohol kept me drug-free 4 life. Luckily for me, that wasn't a lesson that I had to learn the hard way. Of course, I have nothing against a drink or two on New Year's Eve, lol! Anyway, Happy New Year's Day to you as well!
True , but one of the guys commented Sting belonged with the Police . 💯 couldn't agree more . Sting would never admit he jumped ship way before he should have and Stewart and Andy didn't want to split 😡 through his whole solo experiment he's relied on Police songs . I love him ❤ but the Police were a kick ass good band and he will never have it again 😢😢
Never seen this before 😮 thanks whoever posted this , it was great . I had no idea Sting was mentoring a new band to play with him . I feel a bit bad for Stewart and Andy because he could have easily done this with them again . Enjoyed it all the same 👍🏻
dear LAWRENCE PERYER, so this is a great documentary that I haven't ever heard about until just now in October 2023, and I'm a huge Sting and Police fan! Was this made cut and edited, just for the "Fan Club" DVD?
Andy is unique, but Dominic took his place and fits perfectrly. I've seen The Police once and then I saw 4 concerts of Sting with Dominic. He is phenomenal. Last co cert was may 2024. They were playing only 3 people, just like The Police. Dominc made such a good job. His playing is so tasteful...
Apparently this project was a stepping stone to the Police Certifiable tour. Kind of annoying the "documentary" used a bunch of unrelated studio tracks as wallpaper.
Comment spam alert! I thought any of my viewers who like this video might enjoy the interview with Dominic Miller that I dropped today. You can get it here: www.spotlightonpodcast.com/dominic-miller/
Weird that he would adopt a police type rock band to perform police material without Stewart or Andy. What credibility would such a 4 piece rock combo have without the work of Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers. Answer: Zero!
I know he’s talented and everything but gosh solo he’s boring. I saw his years ago at the forum and all I did was smoke weed in the bathroom cause it was more interesting
Josh Freese is officially the new drummer for The Foo Fighters. Fantastic drummer.
Great, can’t wait for the next sting project documentary that I didn’t know existed.

Thanks for posting! This documentary was a surprise.
Every drummer wants to play with Sting!!!!
Sting is such a down to earth guy...Great to see....:)

@@RobbinPerry Thank you for your great comment, I think musicians should be like that: very human....;) Happy New Year to you!!!

Thanks for uploading! I didn't know this documentary
Just amazing. No further words needed. Just listen.

Enjoyed that, thanks.
i enjoyed watching them :) cheerful
Me too but where's the Brits , Sting is as British as you get . He's hiring in America ! He should be hiring in the country that adored the sexy mf 🥰

Hello @philipzegradet5483 - you are correct, this was made for the Sting Fan Club many years ago
It seems it takes two guitarists to make Andy...))
Because Andy was super talented all on his own ❤
@@thornbird6768 And so is Miller. He covers Police stuff and Stings solo stuff. He's an excellent guitarist.

Doing yoga on the floor of a public bathroom was the weirdest thing in this movie. It was really unsettling and makes me question their judgement
24:27 - total pro

Checkin it thanks:b Imagine if Dom went to S America for his ayahuasca like Sting did. 😅
@@Varonno Ha. I should have remembered to suggest that
[16:15] Dominic in a pickle
Not Vinnie
Josh is great. Met him first when he played on NIN tour. Met Vinnie backstage at Bozzio gig
So, basically, her wanted The Police, but in a form that he could completely control.
Marnie your on the money , I noticed he didn't pick any musicians around his own age , they are all kids .
@@thornbird6768Dominic Miller is 63!
