    RIP James Caan. I get why everybody remembers him as Sonny Corleone, but to me he will always be Brian Piccolo. Godspeed to them both.

      Doug Heffernan lied at the age of 35.
      He betrayed not only his father-in-law, but more importantly, the woman he loves.
      But when they think of him, it's not how he played mud football that they remember.
      But rather, how he lied. How he did lie.

      Well I would love to see this movie Brian's Song but I can't find it in my town anywhere. I wasn't born yet when he passed but I have been a football fan since age 10 in 1977 and in 1980 is when I choose the team that I knew I would love and be a fan for the rest of my life. I am 45 years old and I am a die die hard giants fan but I am a football 1st. And I have studied the history of the past teams and the legendary players that are mentioned. This is the saddest thing I've ever heard in the NFL history. And he was so young. What really caught my eye and heart out of the 20 videos on u tube that there numbers were 40 and 41 on the Jersey. I believe that is fate and it was meant to be a strong and great friend ship. So sad. I have to find the movie. 😢😢

    I saw Rollerball at the drive in as a kid in the 70's and even though I was young I knew there something important about this story and the character Jonathan E. It affected me deeply and is no small part of my personality to this day. Standing up for what is right even when you are rewarded for ignoring your morals and the whole world seems to be against you takes courage, and is a good way to live!

      It was a great movie which only a few people today would understand.
      It was directed by Norman Jewison.

    Hey Reeg, we were there too! Bears VS Cleveland Browns during the filming of Brian's song! Our dad took both of us boys without knowing about the filming that day. Boy did we luck out, we saw Jersey #40 (Gale S number) then we saw the film crew on the sideline, then they filmed all of us in the stands for the 'crowd scene' in the movie. Heck, I never checked, maybe we're in that movie (haha very doubtful) Quite an exciting day when Hollywood comes to the mid-west! ;-) RIP Brian Piccolo, Gale Sayers, and my dad Ed Farley. Love you dad! Oh, and thanks to you Regis for bringing this up.

    Rollerball is the most underrated and most misunderstood movie before it's time. I disagree with him about the mercy rule. The more you destroy me the more I will rise , especially at a younger age. People that think you have to award a participation trophy or be merciful are betraying humanity and the reality of how harsh life is and can be. It's not a Disney world folks. People that are taught under this falser reality are ill prepared to meet the real world.

    • @goldenager59
      @goldenager59 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As long as we believe the real world can never be a Disney world, then it shall never be one. Some would, I suppose, sooner see the Earth destroyed rather than it come to that, but as dear John once said:
      "You may say I'm a dreamer...but I'm not the only one."
      😐 🌎 🤔 🌍 🤨 🌏 😕 🌐 😊 ❤️ 🤗 🕊️
      P.S. It may take a thousand years or more, but in a Disney world (or if you like, a Godly world), the only worthwhile target of hate will be the "real" cruel world as humans believe it to be.
      Got a problem with that? 😉

    What a disjointed interview? They never gave Caan a chance to finish a thought on any of these topics. What is the point of having this large panel interjecting? I wanted to hear more from him. I get why the babe is there, but why all the other dudes.

    • @OneLoveRSR
      @OneLoveRSR 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Because this is a prime example of everyone being insecure with their position and trying to prove themselves worthy of their position. So what you're seeing/hearing is basically "I'm gonna make the witty comment/I'm gonna ask the IMPORTANT question/I'm gonna be the funny one/I'm gonna be the likable one! If I do, then I won't be removed from my space, simply because I made a random noise that had nothing to do with anything." So no one is actually interviewing him. They're just out for self.

    47 years later & this is the 1st time anywhere I've heard James Caan comment on his breakout role in Brian's Song.The 2001 film was a dud.Didn't have the emotional wallop of the original.A side note.When filming the original one of the Bears players Ed O'Bradovich told Caan if he gained 20 pounds he definitely would've had a good chance to make the team.Sadly Caan couldn't do it because was contracted to do The Godfather after filming Brian's Song.
