Hi there from the US! I personally own one and I love it. I wanted to give a quick tip on the feeding issues, I’m not sure if you’re aware or not but these have a reversible gas block for heavy and light loads and they come set for heavy loads. It looks like you’re having these issues because you’re using light loads. Might want to check tha gas block ( the arrow pointing towards the receiver is the setting it’s on) hope this helps!
I know I am late to the game. Just saw this vid. Thanks for your honest review. I have one. Took 100+ rounds of heavy loads to break in. Used 1 1/4 oz pheasant loads. Been almost 100% after that. Used it for 4 years of 3 gun matches. About 600 rounds total + maybe 150 in practice. Has failed to feed or lock up 3 times since break in. Mine runs cheap walmart federal, winchester and remington 100 round packs. Mag lips bend very easy. Bent 2 times dropping them on grass covered dirt and on gravel. Failures to feed after that. Bent out with pliers and they worked again. I check them every time now after dropping them. My friend has one, it's more of the competition model with the red accents, magwell, longer forend. His has been a real pain in the butt. He's run 400 rounds of full power buckshot and slugs. It runs much better now but he usually can't get thru a match without at least one failure. I love mine and think its much better than the custom ak-12, saiga style 12ga shotguns for competition.
I own the same model (Puma) in your video and got it about 3 years ago. I run heavy loads, 2-3/4” shells with 10 round mag. No feeding issues yet and probably sent over 200+ shells through the barrel. Maybe it’s just good luck but I love mine. Best shotgun I own hands down.
I have 2 of these i bought about 2 years ago. I just found out today you can get Franklin Armory Binary triggers installed in these. I do recommend getting a muzzle brake installed that doesn't interfere with the barrel incase you want to runs slugs. I have noticed mine does not like skeet rounds or low powder rounds. Buckshot and slugs are the way to go. Maybe I need to change out the spring but I don't plan on hunting with it so no need.
What ammo do you recommend from your experience? I don’t want to deal with the jamming. Just picked mine up a week ago and haven’t shot it yet. Kinda nervous for the outcome lol
Put about 200 rounds of heavy loads through initially to shoot it in. I then usually use 32gr loads with no. 6 birdshot for steel.plates but it will cycle on 28gr rounds if you rotate the gas piston for lighter rounds.
Bought mine for $200. Had issues the first 50 rounds of low brass. Then ran high brass through it for about 100 rounds and now runs like a champ. Also, do play around with the reversible gas block. Low brass now runs fine.
The manufacturer recommendation that was in the manual I got for my typhoon said I need to run at least 100 rounds of 12 gauge "high brass" thru it. Just wanted to add that in there
I have one and it shoots great, it hasn't jammed on me so far with heavy loads, but per the owners manual - if you are going to run lighter ammo you need to flip the gas block to the light load setting. You reverse the gas block if you are going to shoot loads over 1200 fps.
I've owned one of these for five or six years. I don't think I've put 200 rounds through it yet. I was so disappointed with the reliability I've just let it sit in the safe. However I heard of a break in trick that I am trying. Simply store the gun with the bolt locked back for a month. This is supposed to tame that heavy spring and stop the short stroking issues this gun has with light loads.
Hey that’s my gun! I usually run 3” shells with 1 3/4 oz of powder. I’ve found it likes those the best. I’ve experienced some jamming with 2 and 3/4” shells but 3” I’ve had no issues so far
Hands down best mag fed shotgun. Never had a problem unless I buy that cheap Walmart ammo and even then it’s not bad. Quick for 3 gun comp. Reliable and the trigger gets better as u go or maybe I’m just used to it
Man i have a Gforce gf25 that i bought for $200 on sale. I have zero problems shooting low brass high brass 00 buckshot and even slugs. But i also took it apart and cleaned and oiled it and left in racked for a week before I even shot it. And i clean and oil after every trip
Ive put over a thousands rounds. a mix of slugs and 00. I rarely have a jam. Also, I found that the make of ammo you use helps a lot. Remington and black mtn I never have jams,,,,
Sir, not sure if you broke it in, I ran 100 Black Aces 00 through mine and had very few issues. Since then, even fewer issues using even Birdshot. Hope you kept it and broke it in. As another gentleman pointed out about the gas block option. Thanks!
You have to use high velocity rounds for the duration of the break in. Don't use low velocity 8 shot or it doesn't break in properly and extends the break in period.
It helps to to leave the action opened it took me like 3-4 months to shoot mine and it was opened all that time and used low and high velocity with no problems
Yeah, they just seemed too good to be true, especially for what they're selling for. I'll stick to my Saiga 12ga, they can be a pain to get running right, but once you do get it running well it's rock solid.
I have had much better fortune with mine as most people have had. My F12 runs perfectly. I believe his issues were much more magazine issues than the actual F12. The magazines that come with the F12 have a very high spring tension. They need to be used to loosen up as well. I have had semi auto magazine fed shotguns before and they all have basically the same issues out of the box as do the magazines. Once broken in - they are the most fun gun you will shoot. For me I even enjoy the break in period.
Mine will throw out 2 3/4 slugs and 00buck no problem but will not cycle 3inch or any small shot at all. It basically becomes a straight pull bolt action at that point.
I bought one of these. It doesn't feed anything yet. Granted, I haven't forced myself to put a 100 heavy loads through it. But for the price I paid for the gun, it should run out of the box!
You have to break the gun in under heavy load with high brass ammo, at least 125 rounds. And the "review" was not honest at all, regarding the gun is new, and light load was used. I was lucky with mine, worked flawlessly out of the box but AR guns do have a break-in period.
Hello looking to buy a new used shit gun Problem is Why do u hv to pull this pin pull or wat ever to RELOAD It appears not dependable ! Ar I hv some sweet rifles! If it takes to pull push ect. to reload my concern is I could get killed b4 I can get another clip in Anybody?
My gun does not shoot no more. I get a click but no bang. Took it to a gun smith they said the head on it is getting to spaced out to where it won't shoot anymore. Waisted my money on this piece of junk. Was fun to shoot but does not do any good for me now

What rounds have you used? Brand and are they high brass?

Great gun, owned one for 3 years. Never fails, super accurate and reliable.

Should have read the manual closer. It clearly says break in with 100 high brass, high velocity rounds. Not #8 birdshot!
You have to use heavy loads for the break in period of like 200 rounds.
You have know idea how long I’ve been waiting for you to review, thank you Brother!
Got a prize for you!! TM!! 🎁!!
I ran 250 rounds of 32grm loads to break mine in, now it shoots effortlessly with 28grm loads, love my F12!

Wait! The vr80 smashes this gun! And it’ll eat up some cheap ass wal mart ammo

Well done, an honest assessment
The Typhoons and Deryas are selling like water here in Spain. I cant find them at all, all shops are sold out.
For how much?
Gotta love the safety berm

Fantastic looking gun. I hear "That's a shotgun!?" quite a bit. Have had some feed issues recently though...

could the gun need cleaning from the debris fouling the gas system mechanism?
I want this in titanium but i cant seem to find any

I'll trade you my 1301 if you through in 1200 😂😆
I agree. I don’t like feed issues. At all.
I bought one of these. It doesn't feed anything yet. Granted, I haven't forced myself to put a 100 heavy loads through it. But for the price I paid for the gun, it should run out of the box!
You guys BZO this to 50 or 100 with slugs?
Currently on sale at Turners for $699.98 thank you for the review, made me think twice due to the load issues
It’s a good gun you just have to feed it hot loads a have one and no problems in 3 years
God bless you to brother
I have this gun and it's a "you" problem,You need more rounds through the gun and the magazine is fine for loading
Not tonthevend yet but i wont be relying on it...AT ALL
Got a prize for you!! TM!! 🎁!!

I have one and had one hick up in 150 rounds
Same but I got the X12. Misfed a buckshot load if I remember right. Round got squished a little. Shoved it back in and fired fine
That gun would definitely tick me off. I’d throw it in the creek!
Like the F12 unconfusing not like the X11 most americans think 11 means 12.
This shotgun made in Turkey,I live in Turkey and I have a typhoon f12.İ use it for target shooting and wild boar hunting.
Stranglehold Outdoors 👊
Thanks, almost bought one
