Worked with a young Moldovan couple in N.Nevada on a summer internship...... Wonderful people... they're home now with a beautiful family..... I worry for them daily....we stay in contact..... praying for their safety....thanx for the interview
That was a really interesting interview, and with such a lovely man too. Please bring us more interviews like this ! I was fascinated to hear him say that so many people in Moldova speak English, as I had thought that would not be the case. Great work Djulieta.
This is so fascinating! Could you do a series of these videos touring local businesses and interviewing people? I lived in Chisinau for a summer and fell in love with a placinte shop near the Opera. I wish I’d taken pictures of the women making the pasty because it’s lived only in my head for years. I’d love to see it again and show everyone I’ve told about it.
I live in Germany but if someone told me that I could move to Moldova I would definitely do it! I just find Moldova so interesting and beautiful. And yes, I know that life in Moldova is not always easy, but I love challenges and would have the experience without hesitation! And even if some cannot understand it, I like Moldova very much and it is an under-represented country which, with more attention in the world, could solve its problems more easily than at present🇲🇩. PS: Thank you for this video 👌
Thank You For Doing this Video and Interview w/ Basil. As an American Single older Man of Course I was Fascinated about the Family oriented Women and Culture!. Look Forward to more Videos😊👍🏼. Thank So much
It was 10 as informative. I know a Brazilian couple in Moldova. I am worried about Russia invading Moldova. Congratulations for your channel. You are lovely!
Very interesting and informative interview. It sounds like the country has a lot of charm. Glad to hear that Moldova still has the family unit structure. Maybe I will visit when I retire. I am 62 years old now. I wonder if you can get citizenship there? It sounds like a good place to set up a online business and operate from there.

I just came from Chisinau Moldova and i really loved it but there was one weird thing i very much disliked. The ambulances blare through the city 2 hours a day with screaming sirens. Are so many people being rushed to the hospital there 24 hours a day? What’s happening with these ambulances?
Interesting video and very illustrative about what Moldova is really like, a country that I love. What is missing is that you let your interviewee complete the topic of Moldovan women, what is his opinion regarding something more than the beauty of Moldovan women?
Love this. Very relevant to me looking for a retirement place. How about his family though -- is wife still in NY? Or did he marry a Moldovan and settled now? Or maybe a single lifestyle instead? It's easier to travel and move without extra baggages.
Great presentation. I want to visit. What is the best time of year to visit for the first time? I know, not August. How long to get a taste of the countryside, too?
I like that word, you said are not a "godpodar" if you don't taste the household wine. Loves to meet nice and beautiful people of Moldova. Nice and beautiful ladies like you too. Thanks for this insights.
One very interesting take away from this interview... Having a Moldovan wife, I fell in love with not only her, but her country. When we first started to date, and I would come visit Chisinau, one comment from her was often repeated, "Now you've made me love my own country, too".
Congratulations Djulieta! Great video on the Moldavian culture, traditions, family! I live in Valencia, Spain, but here these values are lost, unfortunately. I intend to visit and live in Chisinau this year for at least one month, because I would like to know and meet as many people and see as many places in Moldova as I can. Keep going the great job you are doing!
I'm visiting moldova(Chisinau) next month in november. I will be also remote working from there. Do you suggest anything for me where to live and which cafe place to work from.??? It will be very helpful thank you Djulieta.

I am American who has been coming to Moldova since 2003 then I started the wine import called Moldova Traders then I do some tourism work also . I want a job in Moldova so I can stay .
Thanks for the info especially through this interview with a Greek-American. It's really great to know the info from someone who is able to go through all the process of how to establish a corporation in Moldova. I'm not very interested with staying as a permanent resident. What I am thinking is how to import wines from Moldova and sell it to other countries like in Southeast Asia. Glad to know that there is a one-stop-process in a building where, according to Bilkas, processing your application for a corporation is done in just three days. But can you start a business in Moldova without a Moldovan partner? Like owning a business 100 percent owned by a foreigner.
Hello Djuliéta, could you tell me if currently the situation is quite normal in Chisinau ? I'm not affraid about the virus but about the life in place... Are the restaurant bars and nightclubs open normaly ? People are still ready to go out there ? If the situation is sad and lack of people outside it won't worth to go there next weed-end... If someone else could answer it would be great as well ! Thanx
Moldova was always relaxed in this pandemic period. Moldova's don't care))) so bars and restaurants are still open. There is life inside. And people just walk around
Definitely agree about there being a group of evil people trying to destroy the family unit. Great interview, watching from Pakistan. Love Moldovans, had a Moldovan GF once
Djulieta, I ask a question at the end, please consider answering it. I'm American, an older man close in age to Basil Nikas, and have decided to move to Moldova full time to open a business. I lived and worked in foreign countries (Vietnam and Thailand) and found it very difficult to learn the local language because everyone wanted to learn English so I never got to practice when outside of the classroom. Because I believe learning the language and culture are critical for success I am dedicated to learning both before starting a business or buying property. Therefore, I want to find a family in a village (not in Chisinau) where I can live in the home and learn the language through daily conversation. Essentially I would like to find a situation similar to what high school exchange students do where they live with a host family. Here's the question. Is helping me locate a family to live with a service you, or someone you know, can help me with? Thank you for any assistance you can give me. Jason
@@IQscan51 I mean one doesn't fit current society and environment, it's like you're being at home but nonetheless something is wrong and it makes you a little bit anxious, eventually you decide to leave, you find a solace somewhere else
Could you please mark the timecodes for the questions/topics discussed during the interview? That would be really helpful, because I'm scrolling through it and in one moment you're talking about the elegant looks of people when going outside and on the other about Ion Ceban.
I'm outta here! hahaha! I am retired (sort of) nuclear and mechanical engineer, and speak Russian and French. I think that I would survive. I've travelled a lot, and spent some time in neighboring Ukraine, so we'll see. Sometimes I just feel like I need to move.
I yried what this guy was doing there with Wines etc in the Southern Moravian region of what is today the Czech Republic. Fantastic wines and local cheeses. I tried to work a distributor and marketing deal to America and Europe...was totally derailed by interfering and meddling middle men and outright Mafia operators. Shame.
Actually most of the world still does have strong families - it is the western world that doesn't. Africa, Middle East, Asia, South/Central America and Eastern Europe all have strong family culture.
Moldovan Women are great looking, but the downside is that they know That they have Great Looks. I would not want to live with a woman who loves herself and knows she is beautiful. I knew a Moldovan Woman who immigrated to Edmonton, I met her at a Drug Store, hardly knowing what her job was, she is still there unmarried, BUT her Looks have changed... in 7, 8 years. Years of foundation had taken its toll.
