I appreciate your opinion, and I can understand how people may fall in love with an original version and be hesitant to move towards a new one. I'm still quite happy with the improvements in this version though -- a highly improved drumkit, a real bass guitar, much better vocal mixing/production -- but, that being said, I'm still really glad both versions exist and that people enjoying listening to both :)

I haven't watched anything past season 2 and I'm not really active in the community anymore other than going back and listening to some of the songs from then. Maybe a fanfic every now and then.

That cutie mark is absolutely perfect. If the show does ever give the CMC cutie mark establishment episodes, I personally think that the final photo absolutely captures what Scoot's mark should be. A pegasi that rose above the criticism of her stunted wings, who learned how earth pegasi lived first hand for so long and knows two different lifestyles... just like the caterpillar and the butterfly. Amazing mark, seriously. There is a massive amount of storytelling potential there.
Gonna be honest, I remember when this song came out.. and I eventually fell off from the Fandom but now here it is.. 2023 and I found myself coming back to the classics that I would listen to all the time years ago when I was a Teenager. Being 28 and remembering my best times only does one thing for me and that's reinvigorating my future. Though the show may be over and I'm tempted to rewatch it all in one go, I do wanna say that whether you were part of the fandom or not, you don't have to be a brony to enjoy music as a whole. ♥

I really like how Fluttershy and Scootaloo are kinda the opposites of the same coin. Scootaloo just under the bare minimum requirements for flying and Fluttershy just above it.
ShadowCatGambit Keep in mind fluttershy was able to fly fast enough to get the tornado in hurricane fluttershy to go fast enough to lift the water so with the right motivation scootaloo could push her self into flight someday.
TheHyperLinkLads I think a better comparison to make would be Bulk Biceps. Even though his wings are tiny like Scootaloo's, especially compared to the rest of his enormous body, he's able to fly ok. I'm guessing that he spent much of his life up to that point training, exercising, and pushing his underdeveloped wing muscles to their max along with the rest of his muscles, and thus very slowly but surely taught himself to fly. Scootaloo will likely be able to do the same over time.

I remember listening to this music in early 2013 in history class, and throughout the summer of 2013. After that I still manage to hear it niw and again and I haven't grown bored of it. It's very emotional of a song.

This reminds me of a subtle but beautiful Scootaloo moment from the recent episode 'Gloom and Bloom.' Most of the episode involves Apple Bloom being trapped in a long, bizarre dream, then near the end of the episode, the other two CMCs enter her dream, and as soon as Scoots realizes she's in a dream, she takes off happily flying all around the room!
I love this song... this version of it even more. It exemplifies everything that Bronies as a people strive for. People belittle us, insult us, put us down. But we know that we're the ones that will be happy, with what we do and who we are. Be the change you want to see in the world

When Fluttershy was around Scootaloo's age she could just barely fly.
TheHyperLinkLads I think a better comparison to make would be Bulk Biceps. Even though his wings are tiny like Scootaloo's, especially compared to the rest of his enormous body, he's able to fly ok. I'm guessing that he spent much of his life up to that point training, exercising, and pushing his underdeveloped wing muscles to their max along with the rest of his muscles, and thus very slowly but surely taught himself to fly. Scootaloo will likely be able to do the same over time.

This reminds me of a subtle but beautiful Scootaloo moment from the recent episode 'Gloom and Bloom.' Most of the episode involves Apple Bloom being trapped in a long, bizarre dream, then near the end of the episode, the other two CMCs enter her dream, and as soon as Scoots realizes she's in a dream, she takes off happily flying all around the room!
