GB doesn't have any nationally recognized stars anymore. ESPN feeds on access to those stars and overlooks everyone else. Having those "stars" is great but not at the expense of the Team, (ei., Aaron Rogers). This is evident by the placement of the Jets at #4, ridiculous.
nah... for the coverage that we had last year for sure Heir Jordan and at minimum JA are for sure media darlings and stars. JA of sound bites alone(more though he's top 2 when healthy....and he ain't 2) and Heir Jordan got his from the Cowboys game alone.
God, the Jets at 4. That's even sillier than the Cowboys at 6.
@@gmgbillzdagoatEven Rashan Gary could be qualified for at least a rising star
Dallas at 6 is hilarious.
Came to the comments to say this. We walloped them in their house, they haven't improved. Not sure about the Lions at 5 either.
I love being underrated
Nothing better than surprising everyone after being slept on
That’s right give us that extra motivation!
When will they ever learn to never doubt the packers
I had us making the offs last yr. And once I saw it was the Cowboys, I knew we were going to beat them. I went to the game. It's OK let them keep underrating us. That's how we spanked the Cowboys up and had the 49ers on the ropes. Our roster is top 5 in the lg. We have playmakers on every level, and now the D will be used correctly.
Underrating the team could also a product of how good Love is. Just like with Rodgers. For years outsiders only blindly see Rodgers, and would say "Rodgers is what makes yall good." The same may be now happening with Love. They don't see the other players talent like we do.
Everyone loves the Texans but hates on the packers for some reason
That’s what I was saying. Why is Stroud already better than Jordan Love or in top 5 QB conversations? It’s wild to me.
@@kylecray7193for real, love had better stats than stroud but for some reason stroud is too 5 and love is sometimes not even top 10 to most people
Keeps Love under the radar... Feels good... Now when band wagon start I'll be back raging at the fake fans..!
Because people hate on the top franchises. That’s normal across all major sport leagues. And then when a poverty franchise is finally good everyone loves them.
The Texans are my second favorite NFL team. I've been a fan since they were formed in 2002. I love the city of Houston, and I don't understand the sudden love for the team and the predictions of greatness. Yes, they had a good year and won a playoff game division, so did the Packers. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see them do well, but I don't like the pressure from high expectations for my "other" team. Why do you think they are so highly rated?
This idea that you have to have a #1 WR is old thinking. As you noted, having several WR's (not to mention the TE's or the RB's) who can get open) why would you want to have a superstar that will command $35-40 million per year? Also, the Jets at #3? And Dallas at #6? The always disappointing Browns ahead of the Packers? They must believe that Love is not going to progress this year, but regress significantly. My greatest hope would be a Jets versus Packers SB.
Just my opinion, but I feel like the top 10 should be:
1. Chiefs
2. Niners
3. Ravens
4. Lions
5. Bengals
6. Texans
7. Packers
8. Eagles
9. Jets
10. Rams
I could see it, but I could see the argument for Miami and the browns. Ik the qb situation for the browns is weird but they still were cooking with Flacco last year which speaks volumes on the team
GOOD. I’d rather the Packers be underrated than overrated by the media.
They’re rated there because the offense is full of unknown names. Us packer fans know them but anyone not following this team can’t name anyone on the offense aside from Jacobs and Love.
A good sign that it is debatable what to list as a weakness. Unfortunately, I would add kicking game as a potential weakness.
Somebody below hits the nail on the head, the national sports media are blinded by stars. But there's another thing about them that is against Green Bay, the sports media are very, VERY biased towards large market teams and against small market teams. Look at Rodgers, he was old, washed, a locker room cancer his last season in GB, then goes to the Jets and they instantly say "Jets Super Bowl contender!" They just did the exact same thing to MN with Kirk Cousins, Cousins went from a mid QB that can't win big games to making ATL a super bowl contender.
It’s an overreaction to call this disrespect and packers being way underrated. The packers have a top 10 offense with top of the league potential, an average defense with question marks, and a bad special teams. Considering there’s not much difference after the real elite rosters, and the lions are the favorites in the north, 13 isn’t far off.
Just pissed off we had a 8 week rebuild, instead of 18 months. Expect another decade of the G standing for greatness.
jets at 4 is wild 😆😆
I think between 13 is good. Jordan Love still has things prove. We don't know how Josh Jacobs is going to work out. Are WR's and CB's seem to be always injured. And we don't know how the Defense is going to play.
I like the under ranking. Keeps the fellas loose cause they have no expectations to live up to. Its funny they ranked a team they beat in the playoffs higher then them LOL. I knew we was going to win that one. they only this low cause of the potential of the sophomore slump for love's 2nd year starting. Hopefully there are no steps back
Our o line is a concern to me. Until the Packers have a unit we can trust, we're expecting the offense to operate better than last year. I need to see that oline group perform at a high level as they did after a few games into last season. I need to see Quay making plays in the back field. Stopping the run up front on defense is the most important improvement this defense needs. That and reducing the damage the best TE do to this D as well. Because JB gave large cushions to the opposing offenses, the d line had to work harder and as a result the LB's & secondary were always in chase mode as the receivers flew to their spots unopposed.
Good for ESPN to spew about The Pack I hope every player reads the ESPN rubbish and get's motivated.
Who gives an actual MOTHER F what ESPN has to say about anything.
Honestly. It means nothing. Absolutely nothing.
You are right 😂 they aren’t on the team nor do they support. Their opinion has zero value.
I'm wondering if they shouldn't go after Bahktiari on a one-year deal if there is any decent number that can be reached. The rookie would get most of the practice reps and can learn on game days from the sideline instead of the hard way. The Packer's window is now as well as the future if they handle business correctly.
This season will tell us all we need to know about Love! I’ve seen a lot of first year starting QBs to great and that’s just because they’re hard to read.
Coaches are a huge part. Matt LaFleur, Tom Clements and offensive coaches are excellent. Jeff Hafley & defensive staff will be excellent. Rich Bisaccia will make great things happen. By mid-season, “We-fense” will be solid and GB will approach #1.
😂😂😂 this ranking is hilarious!! ESPN is a joke bro. They are so biased and they're gonna ride A.R until he retires. Smh you put a team in the top 4 that completely failed. I love the hate of our Packers. That way when they all get punched in the mouth they can just shut up and eat their words!! Let's go Pack!!!!!
IMO:
1) Chiefs
2)Niners
3) Ravens
4) Texans
5) Packers
6) Eagles
7) Lions
8) Chargers
9) Cowboys
10) Jets
ESPN not even talking about Tucker Kraft and Luke Musgrave! We are so deep on pass catchers it’s like unbelievable 🤣🤣 GPG!!!
Those rankings are just a way to kill time in the off season. It means nothing. But to be fair, the Packers are very young and there is no way to tell if they will grow or how much. It will all play out in real time and it will be that much more enjoyable when they do well.
13 is pretty fair. Between the complete rebuild at safety, lack of experience at ILB, question marks all over at CB, and middle-of-the-road OL, this is very much a roster in the 10-15 range.
That said, Jets are wildly overrated, I would drop them to 12, move Miami up a bit, and bring the Packers up to 11.
Tbh I think ESPN nailed it. The difference between the 13th ranked roster and the 9th ranked roster could be as little as one or two players who are difference makers. I do think LB is the biggest weakness or question mark because besides Quay there's not a lot of experience there. Receiver's are definitely an X factor because we HOPE guys like Tay and Reed will make a year two leap but we still don't know. I think 13th is a great place to rank them with room to grow
Watson actually played great against the Ravens, his last game before his shoulder injury that required surgery.
Packers are better when we under dogs, Packers 2024 superbowl champs.
I can see why. Because we don't know what the new DC will bring. But I'm sure we'll rise quickly as soon as we get a few weeks in.
It’s cool man they did the same shit last year, but it’s cool watch we prove em wrong
Gotta write a diss track on ESPN now
I don’t think it’s the worst list. I feel that we should be near the Texans but the list is made taking in account the star players on each team. Also the packers defense is not good, special teams is inconsistent and no star players is probably the reason for them being low. They definitely can be a little higher tho.
I agree 6-10, we should be above the Cowgirls, Browns and the Texans.
I would rather have them come in as an underdog too. I think it takes some pressure off the players as they are young players
Surprised they didn’t put Chicago over gb with the way they rank teams
Packers rookies and youngsters had to figure it out
Thats called understanding knowledge
Thats what is sustainable
Not just doing good and having no understanding
Thanks for the video. Go Pack Go. You can't argue with the power of Love, lol. In Gute we trust
Everyone (packer fans) are tempering expectations like crazy this season. I truly believe top 3 O and D this year. Take into account context of last season. How they started vs. how they finished. D FULL of 1st and 2nd rounders.
It's still early. Need to see everyone play and that will change. Injuries. Will play a role.
I didn’t see, but I assume they’re Top 12 or so. (I’d see them at 8/9 knowing they’re better.)
They should at least be 7 but I ain't complaining. Cowboys ahead of them is true stupidity though. The biggest choke artist right next to the Chargers. You gotta be kidding me ESPN
I agree very underrated. Watch the Packers take the super bowl this. And can eat there words
Cowboys got worse! Omg espn ajoke
What about the tight ends??
By the mid point of this coming season. I believe many may be talking about GB chances to win it all.
Some folks just love to hate the packers. They just can't help themselves. Jealousy is dangerous. Pray for them.
Good use this a fuel for this very talented roster !! Let’s go !! Let’s show them !!
Speaking of rankings, the ESPN list would be in the top three of the "Most Useless." Off-season self-abuse.
I feel like we made some great moves this off-season as well cant wait to prove these fools wrong like we LAST YEAR lol..
Who at ESPN made this TRASH 🗑️ Ranking!! That man’s credibility definitely should be questioned!!!! GO PACK GOOOO.
14-3 and Super Bowl winners great for the 13th best rank team.
I think 13 is right. GB is a young team and hasn't shown any consistency. Switching D scheme usually takes time to get running on all cylinders. LB is a weak position. The nickel CB is still a big question. Kicker and special teams is very inconsistent.
Definitely top 10. But not crazy to say top 5
I kinda like it when people hate on the packers because then I get to see the look on their face when they actually do good
Honestly packers at 13 is perfect in my opinion. Jordan Love could be a Mac Jones. Team is extremely young still and who knows. We also have a brand new defensive coordinator and we truly don’t know if he will be good or not until a few games into the season. There is a lot to look at for this team.
I get what you are saying. I personally think Jordan Love is the guy. I’m ready to see him get paid
They should be top 10! Just show them how it’s done again. Go pack go!!
Shit is crazy. But whatever makes the dubs that much sweater 😂
I want these guys to play with a chip on their shoulder again. Sure worked well last season.
low should be higher in top 10 very talented roster
This is why no one watches ESPN anymore. You get an east coast yokel speaking out their butt. I wish ESPN set the betting odds for Vegas. They know so little. This isn't even insulting. I feel sad for the network.
ESPN is a hype machine. They know that Packers fans react. They want reaction. Let’s just call ESPN dorks and move on.
Id say they are definitely top 8 worthy. 6th to 8th seems reasonable when they basically finished the season in that spot and then proceed to literally upgrade the weakest spot on the roster in the offseason.
So Rodgers last year in Green Bay the Packers went 8-9 and Packer fans thought they were garbage. Last year they went 9-8, a whole one game better and now Packer fans think they are a top 5 team. There were 14 teams in the playoffs and the Packers were the #7 seed in the NFC. !3th is a fair ranking, could have been 14th.
Mad disrespectful smdh i believe we should at least be ranked #7
ESPN is the View of sports entertainment absolute garbage
BOOM! You nailed it. Both owned by Disney. Hahaha
Dude the jets are really good and deep
What was the packers record last year? What, just 9-8? Dallas choked , 49ers handled them easily. 13 sounds right.
I'd put Packers top-5 definitely. Tons of talent
Top 5 is crazy. Could be top 10 but definitely not top 5
Jets at 4?? Actually it would be great to see the Packers beat the Jets in the Super Bowl.
Jets at 4 and Cowboys at 6 is wild
I think this is an AI generated article. ESPN is lazy. Kicker is clearly the biggest question mark. Pretty stupid really. Cowboys did little to improve this off season and the Packers added X and Jacobs while getting another year of maturity from what was an extremely talented young group. I'd rank them around 6 or 7. I hope they prove to be better than that but they are still extremely young and learning a brand new D. Go Pack Go!
They don't respect our roster, they don't respect our coach, they don't respect our front office, but we make the playoffs anyway.
Most definitely top 10
Packers fans overrating the packers defense is so confusing to me.
Cowboys literally did nothing in the offseason to improve idk how they are ranked 6th lol they also beat up on a lot of bad teams last year
GB biggest weakness is at kicker. Get real, people.
Don't worry, I don't think they'll be at 13 by mid-point of 2024.
If we're closer to top 10 than top 20 we can make the Superbowl...!
Espn always disrespects green bay
You gotta admit the Packers offensive line is pretty bad, just from a Jimmies and Joes perspective
7 or 8 is about right
"disrespectful?"....I would say prolly just "wrong"....I mean, if D can reduce PPG to high teens, rest will take care of itself in '24...D limped along literally w a bad DC in '23...hung tough w SF for entire game, really...the OL question by the experts an attempted arson project led by mindless "GB lost Bak in off-season" narrative...guy's been "gone" for 3yrs while on roster .. when was last time GB had a bad OL? Yeah, pretty much never...
Im sick and tired of people who think they are analysts
Its why the numbers how the numbers who the numbers
Houston had a weak schedule
Houston had wesk division
Houston beat chumps
Dont even try browns blah blah
Ravens kicked their as s early
Several games later Ravens kicked their as s again
Houston last year far from superbowl contenders
They beat nobody
Pavkers 2nd chance beat lions vickings defense the same kc ballas almost 49ers
Green bay better resume then Houston
Lions better then packers
0 evidence
Packers won last meeting
This Houston stuff is crap and overrated
They beat nobody
Open your eyes to the facts
Why how who the numbers
You argue about the Texans beating chumps but the packers schedule wasn’t that crazy either. The only notable teams that they beat were the chiefs and you could argue the lions. The packers lost to the falcons, Raiders, Broncos, Steelers, giants and Bucs. Those were some of the worst teams last year.
Disrespectful? I'd say they ranked them at least 5 spots too high...
I would never put the Cowboys above the Packers after the ass whooping we gave them and we did nothing but get bettet this offseason and they got worse. The Browns??? Wtf Its ok, time to prove them wrong again💪💚💛💪💚💛💪💚
I like that the Packers are under the radar.
They got the Browns ahead of us. What a joke
It sucks but it’s been awhile since we’ve got some ships!!! So we got to let ‘em know what’s up
Biggest weakness: kicker
Cleveland is crazy
All the easier to sneak up on the rest of the conference.
Everyone thought they were going to beat the cowboys! the only people who thought the cowboys were good are the cowboys fans. something you guys have in common!!
they had a good record playing bad teams.
I'm pretty sure we will be the youngest team again in the nfl again. Look out nfl...esp if we can stay healthy at rb cuz this defense is finally gonna be fire
They can rank us low, they cant beat us though
I have us at 8.... at the least
Rankings are for clicks. Packers fans send the link “can you believe this” to their buddies they send it to theirs etc. its not meant to be accurate anymore its meant to be controversial. Just sayin.
Always better to be the hungry dawg 😏
