    Mine stopped working. And the worst is that the screen wont turn on. Due to On/Off button is located on this whole surface. But. I Fixed it. and here is what happened./. this can trigger malfunction when you change your battery. I completely forgot about that, and then remembered. So here is the rest: you need to locate the amp(s) in the trunk, and disconnect them . then disconnect the battery and leave for 5 minutes. and then leave the amp off , try to turn on the car. and see if the entertainent system buttons powers on. Mine did. then I turned off car, reconnected the amp and it worked again. It just needed to be reconnected. or reset

    Hi, we have problem with audi a3 2014 mmi. What can be problem if display goes up, and display and all functions work but there is no sound (no radio sound, no handsfree sound…). And after we restart it sometimes just 1 and sometimes 6-7 times sound starts working. Also sometimes we can hear crackling noise from somewhere (we think it is from front big speaker).

    UPDATE :: MY MMI is now working
    My guess would be the computer system restored itself took about
    3 weeks till one day I started my car and the radio came on...but
    before that I checked the fuses in the trunk removing one by one all good then I started the car and pressed the on button to turn on the MMI and the radio did come on but went back off till the third day radio came back on and hasn't turned off so far its all working again..I don't know if it had something to do with removing each fuse but ever since I did that it helped the system work faster to restored itself...

    I've got a 2007 a8l and about a month ago my mmi started to act up. It would work temporarily and would just shut off and following the shut off I'd hear a clicking noise like a relay sound. Now it doesn't work at all, I just hear the relay type noise eveytime the vehicle is started and after a few clicks it it stops and nothing works. No screen and none of the mmi buttons light up. Any thoughts? Thanks

    Hello Boss , Thanks for sharing your videos . Please how can i replace the fiber optic cable connector that connects into the display unit ? I opened mine last week , it looked like someone had severed the holes in the wire . I was thinking of replacing the entire cable , since you cant splice fiber optic cables . But where does the other end of the wire go ? Is it the module under the glove box ? Thanks again

    Hello!
    I came here seeking help and guidance from anyone who knows what up with my car.
    I own a Audi A8 4E 2006
    So recently i installed a kufatec unit to enhance my MMI features and performances, but during the process of install i realised my mmi head unit doesnt support it (4E0 035 729), as you probably guess i went a head and brought the right version with cables support and such (4E0 035 729A) all went well and running exept for one thing which is when i turn on/off the car the mmi screen doesnt open/close
    This only happens with the new mmi unit, when i switch back to the original it opens and close fine.
    So what im asking is if theres an option to set it up so the new unit would open and close the screen?
    I own a vcds scanner so the codage to enable it is also very appreciated
    Thank you for your time!

      Check to see if the CD Player have audio audio or not. If CD player has no audio then the problem is the amplifier but if CD Player has sound then the problem is the tuner module located in the trunk.

    My issue is when I turned the radio on, there was only static. Then the FM and AM options disappeared, leaving only Sirius. Still no sound. Then the screen went blank as described, showing the MMI insignia. After turning off the car for 20 min and turning back on, it must have reset itself, so it is currently working. I have to believe this is a hardware/software issue. I'm certain it will return.....knowing my luck.

    Hi
    I have a Audi A8 2003 and my problem is that the MMI, as you show in the middle of your video, shuts off by its self. The Audi mmi logo come up for 10 seconds then I hear a noise from speakers then it shuts down and comes up again by its self. Even when I remove the key and look the doors it still comes up and shuts off and drains the battery. I have done the loop test but didn’t help.
    I gave the car to a dealer last week and they still can not find wats wrong. They have replaced the middle console thing and still not getting response. They have fond the Telefon module under driver seat that have some moisture on it but they said inside looks good.
    Do you have any idea?
    Please help me out 🙏

    Great video! It helped me with my Audi A6 (c6) from 2005, but I'm fighting with my colleague's Audi Q5 (8R) from 2010 with MMI 3G plus, if I'm not confused.
    It has a normal screen, not foldable. Screen is totally off, no signal at all. Audio system is working, I mean if I turn on the radio it works, but the display would remain dead.
    The MMI control buttons are working (central console buttons and wheels) but obviously I cannot see the result of what they do because the display is always off.
    Do you think the problem is in this module you show is behing the glovebox?
    What's the name of this module? Do you know the part number of it? (just to start looking for estimated prices here in Spain)
    Thanks in advance!

    • @HiTechElectronic
      @HiTechElectronic  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For 2010 Audi Q5, if all the functions and audio are fine then the problem is the monitor itself. After removing the monitor check the power, if there is a 12 volt then the LCD monitor itself is bad.

      HiTechElectronic thanks a lot man! I will check it as soon as I can. Justvto learn a little bit extra: What should be happening if the broken part was the mmi interface behind the glovebox?

    • @HiTechElectronic
      @HiTechElectronic  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If the interface module above the glove box is faulty then most times screen shows logo for 5 second and becomes black and there is no audio at all and in some cases there are no functions, no audio and screen is black all the time.
