    I've just started learning Icelandic (a language I have no experience in) and Spanish (a language I know a bit of, but not enough to actually hold a conversation, or even write a paragraph tbh), and these tips are super helpful, as is Lindie's entire channel. I can't wait to understand Icelandic songs without translation, and speak Spanish with my friends.

    I might just have to scale back how many minutes, I do with the amount of courses, I take. For example, I was doing an hour of Russian and Swedish each for almost a year but Fall semester starts in a few weeks and I tend to take on a heavier load compared to summer so, I might scale back to 40 minutes each verses a full hour.

    I've just started learning Japanese again but with more commitment this time. My main big aim is to take the JLPT N5, I just need to work out how long it is likely to take to be ready. What's a good time line for this do you reckon? I was thinking 12 months as I work full time and might not be able to do much more than 30mins a day sometimes. I also have ADHD so I work better in short, frequent bursts instead of long hours. Is that too long to be ready or about right? I know it's different for everyone but what's the average length of time?

    • @janeriddle3201
      @janeriddle3201 ปีที่แล้ว

      It will take you less than 12 months if you’re really going to study for 30 mins a day

    • @ArifurRahman-xq2yk
      @ArifurRahman-xq2yk ปีที่แล้ว

      I think 12 months is ok for 30 m/day continuous learning for N5. It would be easier if it is possible to spend extra time on weekend.

    • @3lmodfz
      @3lmodfz ปีที่แล้ว

      @@janeriddle3201 It should be possible. I can review things in the morning on the train to work once I start my new job in a few weeks. And then maybe learn some new stuff in the evening. What about 6 months? Is this perhaps more realistic?

    • @3lmodfz
      @3lmodfz ปีที่แล้ว

    Serious question. If you were given the opportunity to insert a chip into your mind, such as Elon Musk’s NueraLink, to drastically increase your cognitive abilities many times over…would you do it? If so, why? And is there any limit to how far you would alter yourself, or would you go full robot?
