I am studying over 5 languages. My husband found my AsL book on my bed and said, "As if 5 languages wasn't enough...😂!?" Then he laughed later, when I watched 2 shows at once....which I do not recommend.
How is that going? I had also around the same amount in thought at first, but I limited it to three for now since I see many people and youtubers online saying reducing it is better. I know what my priorities are and how to structurise my planning, even with six languages, but since ive seen so many people limiting it, I tend to doubt it now.

GIRL THE WAY YOU PLAN IS EFFECTIVE AND SUCH AN INSPIRATION TO ME, AND YOU'RE LEARNING VIET?!?!? as a Vietnamese and a language lover, I'm proud of you sis!!
I was feeling so bad because I was negelcting my language studies and I want to re-star so this video just came to me at the perfect time! Thank you ♥ You really gave me some ideas and got me in the mood to study

My brain could never 😭😭 5 hours of thesis and 2 hours language learning??? The power your brain holds is insane. I actually want to go back to actively studying English. Ever since I'm out of school I just passively learned through TH-cam/books/tv but now I want to look at grammar and vocab again so I can improve! I also took a Korean class at university so now I want to study it further all by myself. I thought about starting to learn Italian but I'm scared it's too much and it will be demotivating :( I guess I should focus on korean until I built some fundamental knowledge and then add another language.
B2 is a good level to aim for because at B2 you won't lose all your progress if you stop. B2 is the ability to converse with others without difficulty for you or natives to understand each other.
Hi there! I just wanted to say that your stamina will also improve over time. While 2 hours might not be the goal due to personal preference or time constraints, you're going to get less and less taxed by using your target language. For example, when I started taking more advanced Spanish classes, at first I would get really tired around an hour in since it took a lot of effort to comprehend the topics my teacher was discussing in Spanish for so long. My stamina improved though, and eventually it became a lot more comfortable to listen to and interact with two hours of Spanish.
J'apprends le japonais depuis 10 ans, et j'ai commencé à apprendre l'espagnol et l'allemand récemment. Tes vidéos m'inspirent vraiment à m'organiser ! Merci !
I hope you feel better soon; hospitals are not fun places to be for long, even if you work there. If you are going off of 2024, however, June 1st is a Saturday. My weeks begin with a Sunday but most Asian stationary companies start on Monday so I have given myself a scare a few times thinking I've missed an appointment. Today, interestingly enough, I thought that I should try and approach language learning a bit more romantically. I have been in a slump lately and I have trouble sticking to one at a time but I think my Japanese is to a point I can use it to funnel some of my dabbling. I think looking at Japanese as my spouse means I want to spend the most time in this language, make the most time for this language, and I have to check in on it every day with a minimum of 15 minutes for "how was your day?" It is more important to "go on dates" like reading books, watching movies or TV, and having meaningful conversation (aka maybe writing on a particular topic to improve vocabulary.) My "text messages" will be flashcards when I have quick moment to do something for the language. A language I would need for work will be more like a parent who wants to check in every day and I can try to but not always have to. I am picking Spanish for this, as no one at work right now speaks it but it can lead to better understanding in other languages that are also in my community like Tagalog and Mam; I also have a foothold in the language already. I might shift this if we hire someone who is fluent in another language to have someone to communicate with but instead of focusing on "dates" like Japanese, treating a language like a parent means I am getting the rules and structure down and keeping my vocabulary focused as simple as possible to keep it relevant. And then, all other languages are friends. There are friends I can learn through my spouse (I have books already that aren't in English but Japanese and another language, including Spanish.) There are languages I could learn through my parents (like mentioned above.) And there are some friends where it will be more difficult to gain materials on without English being the teaching format and that's okay too. We make time for our friends but it isn't as consistent and if we think of them, we can shoot a quick text (review) but don't necessarily need to hang out (study new.) I don't know how it will go but I am looking forward to trying a shift in mindset to at least get myself back into the joy of the process.
I would love to watch a video on how to find materials to learn languages, I always find myself making these plans but then I never do it because I'm not satisfied with the material I have
I just hit the "Follow" button at the moment I see "tiếng Việt". Love from Vietnam, our language is so interesting and worth learning. Hope you enjoy the process. Keep up the good work!

Nice to see your approach! My own language learning process is to set a focus language as well, alternating between French, Spanish, German, and ASL. I was changing it up from week to week. This summer, I chose to focus on each on a monthly basis. When the summer ends, I plan to drill down on French until I'm satisfied with my level of learning at that time, which should be - I hope - around B2. And then I will do likewise for the other three. I always work in a very brief review of the non-focus languages throughout the week, leave Fridays pretty open for review or rest, and randomly focus on an entirely different language on Saturday for a mental break and for fun! I have 36 other languages that I study or review but they are all entirely app-based, non-focused approaches with zero expectation of meaningful fluency. I just like dipping in and learning a few words, phrases, and concepts for them. Among those 36, I am a bit more serious about Dutch, Portuguese and Danish. Hi Lindie, thank you for taking the time to post this video. It was very helpful for me and gave me ideas on how to plan my language learning. I hope you get the answers you need regarding your health and feel better.
Hope you feel better and get some answers for your health. I’ve been in and out of the hospital the last few weeks too and using my required rest time to step up my game in language learning. I’m currently doing Thai and Korean, but I’m inspired now to possibly add Spanish thanks to you❤😊. Keep up the wonderful content. Thank you.
I love finding out I'm not alone 😂😂 everyone thinks I'm crazy for studying 3 languages at the same time (Spanish, German, and Korean), but now I feel more validated and maybe inspired not to delay starting Italian as much as I planned to. I think if I could organize myself better like this, I could totally juggle 4 languages.

Since I'm visiting Portugal in October, I think I'll dedicate about an hour to (Eu) Portuguese M-Th. I'll devote another hour or so to German on Friday, and maybe 30 minutes to Afrikaans on Sunday. It's time to get back into it.
I’ve just been busy mostly with Glossika to learn Vietnamese and I’ve been using a lot of audiobooks to try to learn introductory Korean. I hope you get better soon.
Trying to get back into learning languages. Right now want to focus on French, German, Japanese, Spanish, Hebrew, Czech, Portuguese, Filipino, Vietnamese. Might be starting Malayalam (from south India). Eventually want to also learn Korean. Want to start Hungarian in 2 years. If I’m going to go to a country spend 2 years learning the language and customs. Edit: maybe also ASL.

I haven't studied a language for a while now and am actually feeling bad because of it. I really missed the lockdown era where I had all day to study a language. Anyway, may I ask if you have a korean podcast recommendation that is an actual conversation style where they talk about self improvement, or just an everyday topic suach as experiences, love, education, etc.? I find it hard to find a Korean podcast like that. I usually find a podcast where there is only one people speaking. Would love to hear your recommendations for conversation type podcast. Thank youuu
@@LindieBotes Nah my plan is to master one first and then move on to the next. I care much more about Spanish than any other language so that's what makes sense for me.
Interesting, I'm also team "spontaneous with no planning", but I switch between Korean and Japanese depending on what I happen to feel like. 😁 I'd get bored eventually otherwise.
I wish an amazing rest month, Lindie. It's interesting you uploaded this video just now, because just now I'm also getting back at language learning seriously.
Just found this by total mistake and now i feel sad because i struggle only with learning spanish haha 😂 Damn, need to learn one thing or two from you!
I feel frustrated with the fact that even if I spent years to learn my languages I'm still not that good it feels like I am never gonna be fluent enough :/
Same I feel like that too sometimes but one of my friends said to me that if others can learn another language than you can too (even if you only speak one language)
1. do you think this helps learning more languages at same time ? 2. if my level is a2-b1 in 4 diff languages can i do it like this ? 3. should i do spanish and french together?
What languages should I learn? I have been jumping between languages for a year or so and I really want to learn more languages without getting dismotivate for the difficulty
I've never heard anyone pronounce iterate like that before, curious where that influence comes from. Thanks for the reminder on Vietnamese, kinda back to the beginning for me too :/
Great video! 😃 I am only slightly disappointed in the brand that made the planner we see, That "Dinsor Station" is not "Dinosaur Station" 🦕, but otherwise it seems good quality! 😄 (Also: Praying for you, Lindie! 🙏 Whether things do or don't go according to a plan, Isaiah 41:10 and 13 are passages to keep in mind, that God's assistance is at hand.)
@LindieBotes You have dinosaur earrings?!? 😃 That's so cool! (I am no fashion expert, But I do think it's fun to wear things with nice designs of God's creatures. 🦖)
Do you have any favorite japanese accounts that make videos on journaling / notebooks? I've been itching for that content but so many of them don't have much spoken / subtitles -- mostly just visuals!
Hi Lindie, how do you keep all languages organized in your brain? I'm learning my 4th language and it gets so messy. On a daily base, i use the other 3 (my mother tongue, English at work, and the language of the country i live in) The new language is close to my mother tongue. Do you have any tips and advice on this?

Yayyy Thailand mentioned 🤩
It's fun watching this because my routine is the polar opposite. Focus on 1 language, and do what I spontaneously feel like doing with no planning.
Are you learning other languages too? If so, how do you balance them?
@@LindieBotes Nah my plan is to master one first and then move on to the next. I care much more about Spanish than any other language so that's what makes sense for me.
Interesting, I'm also team "spontaneous with no planning", but I switch between Korean and Japanese depending on what I happen to feel like. 😁 I'd get bored eventually otherwise.
Keep it up with your health girl! Take care, Iggy
You're quitting your job on Friday? Me too, literally this Friday 😂🙌🏼 also very excited for my freedom and health!!
Twinning! how exciting hehehe
I wish an amazing rest month, Lindie. It's interesting you uploaded this video just now, because just now I'm also getting back at language learning seriously.
I'd love to be able to plan ahead like this... I only get my work schedule one week in advance, so I never know when I'm going to be free...
Just found this by total mistake and now i feel sad because i struggle only with learning spanish haha 😂 Damn, need to learn one thing or two from you!
Gracias por tus valiosos videos.
You're a genius.
Hope you'll get better soon
I feel frustrated with the fact that even if I spent years to learn my languages I'm still not that good it feels like I am never gonna be fluent enough :/
Same I feel like that too sometimes but one of my friends said to me that if others can learn another language than you can too (even if you only speak one language)
1. do you think this helps learning more languages at same time ?
2. if my level is a2-b1 in 4 diff languages can i do it like this ?
3. should i do spanish and french together?
Thank you for this you so helpful
The video I’ve been waiting for
Lindie님의 한국어 독서 응원합니당:)
真的超爱你的视频🖤
How is it going with your Norwegian and Turkish?
What languages should I learn? I have been jumping between languages for a year or so and I really want to learn more languages without getting dismotivate for the difficulty
I've never heard anyone pronounce iterate like that before, curious where that influence comes from. Thanks for the reminder on Vietnamese, kinda back to the beginning for me too :/
Could be influenced by her native Afrikaans.... She's from South Africa...
I assume Singapore but I don't know if S. Africa.
I am also studying Chinese and Korean, also I wanna learn Japanese🥰🥰🥰...
How much time do you spend each day when you pin « textbook », « review », etc?
Great video! 😃 I am only slightly disappointed in the brand that made the planner we see,
That "Dinsor Station" is not "Dinosaur Station" 🦕, but otherwise it seems good quality! 😄
(Also: Praying for you, Lindie! 🙏 Whether things do or don't go according to a plan,
Isaiah 41:10 and 13 are passages to keep in mind, that God's assistance is at hand.)
😂😂😂 I didn’t even think about that. Weirdly enough I’m wearing my dinosaur earrings today!
Thank you so much for the biblical encouragement 💕
@LindieBotes
You have dinosaur earrings?!? 😃 That's so cool! (I am no fashion expert,
But I do think it's fun to wear things with nice designs of God's creatures. 🦖)
いつも動画楽しみにしています🎉
とっても参考になります!私も多言語学習頑張ります〜!
Your laptop ❤!!!!!
한국어를 보니 너무 반갑네요😊
Wow, chị học cả tiếng Việt ạ? this is awesome ! 😍
aww i gasped when "Tiếng Việt" came up
Great video! I was wondering if you also had this for if you only do one language?
Do you have any favorite japanese accounts that make videos on journaling / notebooks? I've been itching for that content but so many of them don't have much spoken / subtitles -- mostly just visuals!
SO MANYYYY! クリームソーダと手帳のある暮らし、コミュニケーションカフェ、pomenote, nakanote, and a few others I cant remember off the top of my head
good health to youuu
Me now aggressively questioning if Monday is the first after all xD
I’m learning my first language which is Spanish and it’s taking longer than is expected I don’t know what to do
Hi Lindie, how do you keep all languages organized in your brain? I'm learning my 4th language and it gets so messy. On a daily base, i use the other 3 (my mother tongue, English at work, and the language of the country i live in) The new language is close to my mother tongue. Do you have any tips and advice on this?
