If you are interested in either the Verge, Verge Lite or new GTR fitness smartwatches then this video will dive deep into the similarities and differences between them. Most notably, the Verge has a speaker and microphone so it can be tethered to a phone for making and receiving phone calls. The amazefit app will sync with Strava but unfortunately the myfit app won't,this is a major advantage of the amazefit over the lite as Strava is essential sports community app

Yes, they are the same, but as you see in the video the hook up part is totally different then a standard watch band. The new GTR is a traditional band design, so it should be easy to replace with any style of watch band.

Amazfit GTR will post in two days and it's a deep look at the watch. Suggest you take a close look at the Verge Lite video as many of the functions of the GTR are identical to the Verge Lite. I refer often in the GTR review to the VLite.

Yea, and WalMart still sells paper! Ink is getting hard to come by though. Amazon wants $50 for a black and color cartridge. That's 2/3 the cost of a new printer! I may have to go electronic eventually.

Verge lite has no sound dynamic
I bought an Amazfit Verge, the GPS it works for 7 days and it stopped working. Features Expired AGPS. I already reset the factory defaults, and I uninstalled the APP and it didn't work. Can you help me?
Try tethering to the phone and have your phone on the Internet and run the tethering app. Most of these watches need weekly satellite data updates and it usually comes to the watch through the app.
My mom is using amazefit bip its amazing ,working beautifully, i have amazefit verge thats also amazing if u dont want call function u can buy verge lite,amazefit app is used to pair with bip & verge works smoothly for me

I tried buying Verge lite through ebay but they just messaged me that they are out of stock for Lite and to give them the difference for the Original verge. Its $10 more but I kind of liked the Verge lite more. I am mostly concerned with battery, and custom watchface options

Yes, to a limited extent. I'm not sure about the music controls and how they work as I haven't tested that.

Sorry to say this man but you are talking bullshiet , at min 10 in the Verge Lite that option there allows you to sort the apps in the main menu of the watch not the left/right widgets you hope . That option in only limited to Verge original and you can set only 2 custom widgets. Verge Lite is more like a MiBand4 when it comes to the operating system and menu handling . I had them both so I played with them and know the behavior . Anyhow good video , I found it and watched it before buying mine.

Don't remember on these. Usually you have a music control app to play/pause and change tracks, for the music on your phone and you tether your earphones to your phone and keep it nearby.
What's the cheapest smart watch with play store
It needs to ba an Android or WearOS smartwatch for the Google Play Store to work. Prices fluctuate wildly so you have to keep a constant eye on your favorites. Cheapest will be the ones running on Android 5.1 (many of which support Bluetooth calling which isn't supported on the newer Android 7.1.1 watches).
If its like the Pace and Stratos... you to download the faces from amazfitwatchfaces.com/ .... Plug the watch into the USB via the data/charge cable and your computer will see the watch folder structure as a USB storage device. Download the WFZ file from the www site and drag it into the watch faces folder on the watch. The phone app will see the files on the watch and you can switch them that way, or press-hold the watch face and scroll to find a watch face you like. There won't be 100s for the verge lite just yet. Its an open source community and the watch is still too new. By now though the Pace and Stratos have 100s to pick from and new ones are being added all the time.
Yes, that works for the Verge, but not for the Verge Lite or GTR from my experimenting.

Is it worth to buy Verge lite in 2020?
Any older smartwatch will have battery degradation over time, so take that into consideration. For the price, it's probably OK. Besides, you can use it for awhile to help you decide what features you want in your 2021 flagship watch!
@@SWT Thanks for your recommendation. Actually, I want a smartwatch around $100 which used the WearOS. Now the TicWatch E is sale with $80. So I checked for the local user reviews. Then they told me Ticwatch E battery is just one day usage and need to charge once a day. If you have to choose between Verge lite and Ticwatch E which will your choice. If the TicWach E battery is long 3 days in normal usage I will choose that.
If battery life is your leading metric, then Verge lite for sure.

Can you install more than one watch face on the Verge Lite at a time? I only see the two stock faces and one more face. Any attempt to change faces replaces the custom face, it doesn't add a new face to the watch like happens with the original Verge. Is this your experience?

Let's hope more features will be coming. There's a Verge 2 planned, and lots of followups to the Pace and Stratos. Amazfit is pumping out new watches regularly these days.

Perhaps instead of getting the Verge or Verge Lite, wait for the Verge 2.
Or you could skip the verge to wait another year and go for the Verge 3, or perhaps 4. At one point, if you want a smartwatch, you just gotta jump in and get one. The only thing for sure is technology will continue to advance, so it's just a matter of when you want to actually own one rather than wish for one.
Dear Mr.Ticks, you‘re absolutely right, however, I‘ve seen the announcement of the Verge 2 and I do think it‘s a much more refined smartwatch than the one you‘ve reviewed. But yes, if we always waited for a newer product, we‘d never get anywhere.
I hope they run with the International version of the Verge 2 soon. So far it looks like it will be severely limited compared to the Chinese version with NFC either not in it or in it and not supported outside of China. We'll see. Would you like me to bring in a Chinese only version just to look it over? I did that with the original AMAZFIT watches. It's supposed to support English eventually, bit not in the one I can get my hands on now. What about the rest of you? Any interest in seeing the Chinese only Verge 2?
