It's like they know the market is unfair but they have no choice but to deal with it. Of course it's not limited to Holostars, even fellow Hololive members like Akirose suffered the same issue. They're no less talented than their peers, they just drew the short end of the marketing stick.

Havent seen much of ID but the en branch is a really solid unit. Like a wide variety of personalities, very different but that compliment each other so well. But sure Gen 2 would still be sustainable and give the En branch a bit more mass.
I respect and love Holostars a lot. These guy have adapted pretty well despite being hated from the beginning. They have been on the slow grind, so when I see them reaching new stages I feel just so proud of them. I don't see them as hololive, each one of them has their own identity and I hope someday they understand that for many fans, holostars is not in anyone's shadow.

Thank you for the clip! The past years into months, weeks and days have just been an emotional wheel of feels for them. They can't or rather they aren't catering to that audience. They are selling their Vtubers as Idols, and have to keep males and females separate to preserve the illusion of attachment to their fans, because Idols are forever in a relationship with their supporters. Overseas viewers would not mind them collaborating but even then there are overseas fans that are highly possessive stans.

Nijisanji has it's male talents on level with its female ones. Furthermore, some of the biggest personalities on TH-cam (not just VTubers) are males who attract a wide audience because of their entertaining personality. No. HoloStars are left in the dust because Cover Corp doesn't do much more than the bare minimum to support them. They get basically no advertising whatsoever, whereas the girls appear on public windows and boards over in Japan. The girls of the JP branch have the HoloLive Graffiti shorts, whereas HoloStars has nothing even remotely similar. I know it wouldn't fix everything, but if Cover Corp could just stop playing favorites, I'm sure it'd be a step in the right direction.

One of the biggest mistake of managers in Hololive/Cover is that they are don't allow to freely make collab streams between Holostars and Hololive. I'm sure that girls and boys have different audience, but giving them just some basic freedom (permission to Holostars play on one server in minecraft with Hololive members or made holograph with holostars, etc) and intersection of audiences will be even more.
I do not think the barrier comes from a management standpoint, or else Choco, Matsuri and Fubuki would have never been allowed to interact with Holostars either, and Cover abolished their "no male/female interaction" clause via Twitter a long time ago. It is a Japanese social stigma more than anything, one that is more about the idol girls than it is about male coworkers, which is why Oga says he thinks it is OK for the girls to not talk to them. He is more worried about the girls being harmed than about the guys getting ignored, which I kind of get. In all fairness, I do not think there is a single person in Holopro that actually enjoys that this is how things are, and I bet that the other girls look up at the likes of Choco, Matsuri and Fubuki on this regard, but they cannot actually say it in public out of fear of backlash, but I bet that they have told them privately more than once. I hate the barrier between guys and girls in hololive, but I get it. Even in the more mature fans, it's going to rub against the core, animal jealousy that's connected to why they decide to like someone.
They're also going to fall for each other, being charismatic folk. And the power games that come with that are exactly why you don't get with your coworkers if you're wise.
That said, the barrier is totally unnatural to how real people actually coexist and feels lame.
Its because many fans don't want some kind of spark happen between Hololive and holostars especially those Crazy people on Internet, just few of Them can bring someone died with the THREAT 👀👀👀
