- Power Rangers actually steals lots of its footage from this franchise!! Well... it doesn't actually STEAL the footage, but Saban takes it with permission from Toei. Today we'll be looking at the original unfiltered version of Power Rangers, referred to as the Super Sentai franchise. And the great thing is that this whole introduction is just 3 minutes, which means even if you've got a busy day ahead of you, you can still jump into the colorful world of SUPER SENTAI! And you may even learn a thing or two about Spider-Man along the way....

I'm so happy to be a newbie of Tokusatsu cause I got long time fans to educate me about the franchise outside of Godzilla.
Go Go Super Sentai
Sentai is yet another huge franchise on the horizon of someone trying to dive further in to the tokusatsu pool, but it's videos like this that really make it more approachable. It's great to be able to see what kind of awesomeness lies ahead for me and many others on their Roku journey, so thanks again Prof for breaking the ice!

My favorite Sentai are Gokaiger and Kiramager.
There is a show called Miniforce which is similar to Power Rangers except cute animals like a blue squirrel, a red bird, a yellow beaver, and a pink fox turn into rangers!

Not sure why the offhand mentioning of Kamen Rider and anime is necessary, but I do agree Sentai has been knocking it out the park recently. Given that sales for the franchise as a whole weren't doing so good I guess they sort of had no choice but to innovate and try new, fresh things.
