    I can not wait for your next videos about the daily tracker or the 2023 Notion Life OS Template update. I have been trying to learn notion. And while there are a lot of great pages out there that I can modify to almost fit my needs you have helped me learn how to do most things by myself. I have been wanting to make a cleaning schedule of sorts, one that will repopulate on the day of the week it is set, the recurring tasks have now made that possible, I just need to learn a good setup for making the database. (😉😉 Maybe if you need some additional content ideas this can be added to the list) Thank you again for all of your wonderful videos, I never realized just how badly I needed this software and how much it would help me organize my life and help me be more productive.

    Hi Simon! Thank you so much for this! I just found your channel from your 2 part financial tracker videos (amazingly helpful). Would this be a solution for recurring expenses, as opposed to the template button you created in the video? Or do you think it's just as easy to do it that way?

    Love this habit tracker better than the way it was on the other template because I love the idea of checking the box. Now when your habits change in the following year do you, create a 2024 tracker page?

    Hi Simon! Thank you so much for this video! I was looking for a way to automatically add a date in a recurring template since I'm mostly working with a calendar/week view and whenever a new template was created, it wasn't added automatically to the correct day. I tried it with the 'Show by Created Time' option, but I didn't like the fact that the added time was also displayed. Thank you so much for your video and your great work in general!
    Cheers mate!

    • @BetterCreating
      @BetterCreating  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You're very welcome! Yes - it’s a tricky one that! I’m getting around it with an if formula that propose created time if so date is empty, otherwise created time - and then organise by that formula column. In a video soon I expect. :)

      Ah thank you! Great to hear and welcome to the BC community. No - all good to keep building if you are using the Notion from Scratch series. It will keep developing in the right direction. Won’t be exactly the same as my 2023 templates thou as they are 1000s if hours of building and not really possibly to cover all of it on the video series! :) enjoy!

    So happy I found this! I have used DAYS to try and build a Life OS in Notion with an integrated habit tracker. Didn't manage and almost gave up when I stumbled upon your videos. Top quality content Simon! Quick question: will I learn how to build your Life OS through the Notion from scratch programme? I'm torn between getting it from your website and taking the time to build it so I understand it better...

    • @BetterCreating
      @BetterCreating  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Fantastic! Thanks for the feedback. Re the life OS in this process - yes and no. Videos build a good proportion of the system I offer in the template - but it would be so much time and work to cover every detail of the full templates since they are so comprehensive and some parts use quite complex formulas to create simple user interfaces. The idea is that this series will offer a really solid version of it - but the templates are much larger. Videos 1-5 create a very similar version of 5 sections of my ‘Simplified Notion’ template. That said - watching and following them is a great way to gain the Notion basic knowledge - try the system - and then if you like it - a template will skip the 100s of hours of building - so you can have further functionality and elements. :)

    Hi there, I've been a Notion user for some time now and I am in the process of switching over to your template to give it a go. Do you plan on making a 2023 version of your Notion (perhaps 3.0) setup or is the old stuff still mainly what you use?
    Thanks for the great content and inspiration! Ive picked up many useful tips and tricks along the way thanks to you!
    Cheers from Germany

      Great to hear: Yes - I'm making a 2023 version that will be significantly updated to use all the new Notion features for the last few months. Existing users will get access (I will notify) - but you would have to move completely across to the new template of course. So it's up to you. I'm aiming to launch it in February if all goes to plan! Cheers.

    It appears that we have to choose between recurrent tasks and subtasks, because even if the task itself reappears fresh and new every day (week, month), its subtasks do not change. E.g. if you mark a subtask as done today, tomorrow it will reappear as done. Do you by chance have a solution?

    Theis nition update with routines doesn't work for me. I don't see them in my to-do list

    • @BetterCreating
      @BetterCreating  ปีที่แล้ว

      You’ll likely need to look at your filters on your to-do list videos and use the formula and created date solution I share in this video if you sort your to do lists by a date column. Also: recurring templates don’t yet pre fill the calendar - they just generate on the day set.

  • @thekreport3270
    @thekreport3270 ปีที่แล้ว

    The problem with the recurring task is they do not automatically adjust the due date like other task managers do. Until they do that the feature does me no good.

    It’s great that you made a video about recurring task and how to do it however, your video editing makes it too confusing with all the constant zoom in and out, jumping from template to another page back and forth, if you really want to help it would be much more beneficial to start from a black page, start a new template and go step but steps without all this unnecessary fancy transitions that actually confuse the viewers instead of helping them to understand

    • @BetterCreating
      @BetterCreating  ปีที่แล้ว
