    these guys didn't mess around! covered almost everything with little overlap or filler. only thing I really wanted to know is active bobbing their heads to see how well they stay in during physical activity. not terribly concerned because I already own shures with wrap around wires and they stay put (especially with foam tips like Comply Foam). excellent video & thank u!

    Ha, I kept hearing "ice ice icicle, test test testicle"...
    Anyway, I've got a pair of SE425 (LOVE the clarity, but wish it has a bit more bass) and Bose SoundSport Wireless (sound okay; good for chores), and I'm thinking about venturing into true wireless earbuds.
    How is this compared to the Sony WF-1000XM4? I care most about music quality (pop, country, blues, and EDM for exercises), and call/mic quality for meetings. I don't care about ANC and I think the foam isolation is more than good enough.
    Btw, love your silly jokes and quality reviews. I hope you guys go far!

    • @DHRME
      @DHRME  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Patrick. Think the Sony are a good all round choice. Purely for sound - depends on how much you wanna spend!

    • @lastaccess
      @lastaccess 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I found Sony 1000xm4 is a bit boring. Also volume is not enough. I'm using Shure Aonic 4. Thinking about buying bt mmcx adapter for it.

    Long back I had Shure SE215. Great accurate sound. Boring for some people, but made every other popular earphone sound “wrong”. Comfort was an issue though.

    • @jasongalon3178
      @jasongalon3178 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yo, if the comfort is in the ear get Comply Foam tips: they're the bomb! I have them on all 3 earphone sets I own. if it's something else, sorry.

    • @JustSomeDude31
      @JustSomeDude31 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Exactly this on sound quality, I went to shure SE215 about 6 years ago, the wireless version (i know it has less quality than the wired one, but still) the sound quality they have is amazing for the price. I can't appreciate a lot of other in-ears or headphones because of it.
      It's a shame though that the gen 2 wireless adapter is so expensive, I can buy new aonic 215 with the gen 2 wireless for almost the same price as the adapter itself. I'm considering upgrading the wireless adapter though. Too bad I will have 2 x the 215 monitors. Would be a better deal if I could get an upgrade to the in-ear monitors as well for less than double the price. of the aonic 215.

      The first gen is awesome for sound quality in my opinion, but the wire that connects both drivers to the battery is too stiff now. I've been wondering to upgrade to the "true-wireless adapter version".
      Did you happen to buy the true-wireless version? You like it?

    Love your reviews!
    I had the shure tw1 but decided to go for the tw2 as well.
    Having had the tw2 for a while now I'm glad I have them. I take them out of the box and they turn on and pair automatically with the last paired device. The tw1 you had to press and hold to turn on. When making calls I can hear the person on both sides with the tw2 - the tw1 I only hear the other person on one side. Add to that the tw2 water resistance and volume controls.
    It's great being able to use my shure earbuds on these tw ear hooks. They stay securely in place whatever I do!
    And I can use the earbuds on wired cables too, 3.5mm, 4 4mm...
    I had a problem with one of my earbuds (admittedly very old ones) and Shure replaced them.Great customer service!

    • @liketheterminatortoldya7297
      @liketheterminatortoldya7297 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey just a question as a prospective buyer can you skip to the next track on the earbuds as this would be the only real deal breaker for me on there earbuds

    • @Andyhandle
      @Andyhandle ปีที่แล้ว

      @@liketheterminatortoldya7297 I had to think about that. I never use track skip, on any of my earphones or headphones. If I don't like a track I look at my play list and choose a other, though I have many playlists of music, with the same track on multiple playlists, with playlists for different situations eg "foot tapping", "energising",...
      And if I did want to skip a track I'd use my phone/device, though I've occasionally used a voice command to play a track.
      I'll have a look when I next get a chance (come to think of it I have very occasionally used skip with headphones, where a swipe on a large surface is effortless enough to move to another track, but can't imagine doing that with earbuds of any sort as moving my fingers to the earbuds feels more hassle and random than using my phone or watch.

    • @Andyhandle
      @Andyhandle ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@liketheterminatortoldya7297 just checked, yes the tw2 has the option to skip tracks. You can choose in the shure app what 1, 2 or 3 clicks do for the left or right ear piece. I've just set the triple click on the left for back a track and triple click on the right to skip forward a track (who knows , I might use them! If I skipped tracks more often I'd probably set one click or two clicks to skip /go back a track or even set both left and right to skip forward a track).
      I'd totally recommend the tw2 over the tw1.
      I've had earbuds from Sony, Cambridge Audio, Lypertek, Creative, LG, Earfun... Now I use the shure hooks (a lot) and have got my first ever apple airpods (pro 2) which I also use with android and iOS. Any other questions let me know!
      A key differentiator for me is that these stay in place when I'm doing yoga, even upside-down and when doing much more energetic activities. I haven't had any earbuds that stay so brilliantly on place whatever I do. And I like the ability to use the same earbuds on bluetooth earhooks as well as to put them onto a 3.5mm or 4.4mm wired cable (which still give better audio quality with WAV files and my DAP than bluetooth, so far).
      I like that I can keep my earbuds for several years even if I end up having to change the earhooks eg to support wireless aptx, the battery starts to fade...
      I haven't tried attaching non shure mmcx earbuds to these hooks but I can't see why that wouldn't work, giving me even more flexibility.

    • @liketheterminatortoldya7297
      @liketheterminatortoldya7297 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @AHandlefor Thank you so much for the detailed reply definitely looking forward to picking tw2s soon 👍

    • @Andyhandle
      @Andyhandle ปีที่แล้ว

      @@liketheterminatortoldya7297 the tw2 is great. I did wonder if Shure might produce a tw3. However, i could imagine that might wait until more phones support aptx lossless and Apple moves forward with the option for wireless hires.
      I use android & iOS. Apple music works well on both and is streets ahead of Spotify (Apple supports lossless and a lot of hi res lossless, but at the moment the best way to take advantage of that is with wired. Apple is better for wired in general as android by default, down samples, though there are ways round that). But for wireless I get better audio with android and apple music than I do with an iPhone and apple music.
      At some point apple is going to make the most of what it has with Apple music.
      Having said that the quality of the hardware makes a huge difference, more so than the codec (currently). The shure earhooks are great quality.

    I got my wirerless Shure 215's for 6 years now. I was wondering to upgrade to the true wireless compared to the "wired-wireless" version I have. The drivers are perfect still.
    Too bad the true wireless adapter is almost as expensive as a complete new true-wireless with the in-ear drivers included.
    Been wondering now if i'd go for these again, or for a Sennheiser Momentum 4.

    Ey man.. i have two questions. I need good sounding earbuds that don't fall out while i'm jogging.
    The way i understood it from your videos these should sound noticeably better than the (After)shockz bone conductor headphones. Did i get it right?
    And will there be a noticeable better sound quality if i invest some more into these Shure earbuds and buy the more expensive Shure AONIC 3/4 True wireless earbuds if i use my headphones through an AAC signal of my mobile phone?

    Coming from RHA T20, I am confused which one should I go for, Shure TWS Gen 2 adapter or Sony WF-1000XM4?
    I really like the T20 buds' balanced sound. Sound quality is the biggest priority and then phone calls. Not bothered about ANC but Hear through option is a must.
    Any suggestion?

      Always wanted to try out RHA T20's but I doubt the sony's will sound just as good as those. Shure has probably better options in-ear monitor wise. If you're willing to dish out the cash.

    so if this is the gen 2 version, i'm guessing they've finally fixed the issue with gen 1 where calls would only ever be heard in one ear? i didn't see anything in the video that talked about that massive misstep in the previous version.
