Obviously they would have changed their tune because the smarties wouldn’t be sorry for making bad poopies and would demand stuff from them and that they clean up all future bad poopies or get “wowstes owies”.
Keep in mind that the people acting in the cartoons don’t have the same suspension of disbelief you get from the cartoony art-style and are in the splash zone for all the blood so they are getting the full experience of ripping every single leg off while the fluffies beg them not to and it’s a process that is taking them a lot longer than it takes you to go from one panel to the next.

Smartie syndrome is mainly caused by a smartie parent or herd tho it really can’t be redirected in a adult if their a baby it’s fairly easy to redirect them by showing them how they hurt their siblings mama and themselves and what they might become or what might happen to them another way is to isolate them for a month or so this will make them so terrified that once they see their family they will always be “good babies” and never be bad again

It all depends on the situation. I only hate Smartis and bad mothers. Because in my opinion, these two types of fluffy ponies don't deserve anything good for the way they treat others. Smartis are cruel and stupid. Bad mothers - well, what mother could be so cruel as to hate her child because of its appearance and condemn it to suffering and certain death by starvation.

I don't know about others, but I can explain why I dislike them.
To me the entire concept of them embodies the hubris of man and how we make something as sacred as life into a commercial product. The greed of man made these things, going against nature and creating a creature that is, frankly, disturbing. They have speech, critical thinking, a weirdly in depth understanding of death and somehow manage to be racist while at the same time can drown in an inch of water, have zero survival instincts and actively endanger themselves without a care in the world.
I dislike them because it reminds me of the worst of man.

As for the best bebes, I try to unlearn their egoistic attitude, after all it is not their fault that they are like that, they behave as they were taught. I've been watching these Fluffy videos for quite a bit. Mainly because I have a fascination for the idea of engineered pets. Robots, genetically grown, things like that.
Awhile ago there was an art project done called Genpets where someone made up a bunch of realistic creatures, used animatronics to simulate breathing and slight movement, then slapped them on cards like action figures and placed them on a storefront to see people's reactions. Some wanted one. Some were repulsed at the cruelty.
I can't really wrap my head around the Fluffy thing though. Look, I'm a cynical jerk who's faith in humanity is hanging by a thread. And even I think in a situation where we genetically engineer pets that can actually speak their mind, and have the thought process of toddlers they would have some sort of legal protection. At least on the level of normal animals.
Were they robots I'd get it. Intellectually if not morally. Robots are always the go to punching bag when you need your characters to be able to tear apart enemies without having nagging moral doubts about causing endless suffering and death. I'd argue that if the robots have any kind of intelligence or personality it's still morally questionable but I realize that I'm in the minority. To be fair I'm for ending anyone or anything that is a genuine threat so long as they aren't being forced into it. Evil needs to go no matter the form.
However Fluffies aren't evil. And they're made from the same stuff we are which means our empathy should be higher for them. Even with robots there have been psychological tests with things like Furby, Pleo and Tamagotchi that show a lot of people are queasy about tormenting something that can show signs of distress.
The Fluffy thing though is a bit confusing. Sometimes it seems that the owner baits them into misdeeds to have an abuse excuse. Why? There are other means of psychologically tormenting the poor things that don't involve staining the rug. And in the situation where they seem to be genuine pets why go from caretaker to killer over one mistake?
I know for a lot of people this is something they get off to or watch to blow off steam. I can't get into either mindset. But it's fiction so nothing is really being harmed. But the places some of these stories go is really strange sometimes. I do find them fascinating and the voice over work is fantastic. But I don't really follow the reasoning behind some of it. I get Smarty abuse though. Kinda sorta.

One of the best explanations I have heard is that people are fascinated by this and that people like to see pain to understand it. You don't get to see this kind of stuff in real life often so people look at scary things online almost to prep their brains for any situation, or because it's foreign to them and they want to understand the why and how.
Another reason I've heard is cute gore for example happy tree friends.
And finally the suffering of these creatures could represent how people feel, like hopelessness. And how small people feel and oppression etc. Also for shock horror.
The mind just finds these things interesting again due to it being a foreign concept and we like to understand everything even if its scary. Yes some do it for other reasons such as truly enjoying the suffering or pleasing themselves by it, but I think most individuals like you and I, just find it interesting. My apologies if I repeated my point over and over 🤣

In regards to things like mistakes it was probably not the first mistake, or due to how normalized in universe the behavior is, and how absolutely universal fluffys are its a simple matter of abuse to blow off steam and replace that fluffy rather easily.
On the topic of empathy responses it is ALOT easier for humans to ignore empathy responses as a result of negative interaction, doubling so with repeated long term negative interaction and in a world were fluffys are doing as fluffy do for what is potentially decades.
As with all things fan made there is shitty versions that might gain popularity regardless and some aspects of abuse might fall into that and the best of such will always be because the fluffy did something, or because of non-intentional reasons or things outside of the fluffies control.
That being said a community like this with its gore is gonna attract more people that like gore for gores sake so your obviously also gonna see abuse for abuses sake with zero or next to zero cause for the abuse to be happening other then just to have it happen. At the very least even that often has some kind of creative story that can be compelling and interesting even if its just the creative aspects of the torture/execution or the attraction into traps/capture of fluffies
There is something to be said about morbid curiosity as I kinda forgot this community even existed till like a few hours ago and ALL sorts of memories are flooding back about this stuff and now im getting a whole lot of this suddenly recommended to me on youtube.

Honestly given their origins as prototypes and how enthusiastic abusers get to the point of feeling like it's forced I wouldn't be surprised if they have some kind of "end me" field or some other thing that is meant to activate instincts in all living creatures for the three F's toward a more sadist bent with the intention being to make it easier to dispose of the prototypes once they make the next protos or have finalized the fluffies. It would have been removed or changed to a "love me" type of effect to encourage buying them once the final ones were perfected. These things were never meant to be outside a lab and it's only by the mercy of nature that they didn't go extinct immediately as an antithesis of invasive species. It's not that abusers are abominations so much as hugboxers have an overly developed sense of empathy that overrides the prototype's disposal mechanism. It also certainly explains the fluffies being the worst aspects of humanity condensed into an adorable package beyond them being an allegory for those aspects if they're not exempt from their own desire for self destruction and them being programmed to go into "wan dye" loop once they reach the point that they should have been recycled by the lab techs. Their capacity to feel pain is likely a flaw in the prototype itself (alongside having a skeleton of spun glass and skin of paper) with the intention for "pain" to simply register as "concern" and a desire to bring to light an authority that the toy is damaged. Unfortunately as it is it creates a feedback loop in the unalive mechanism with the temporary sadistic sociopathy making there be a desire to prolong the pain. Could get the jellenheimers in on this as Hasbio's hunters in the early days to get their product out of the wild or more supernatural origins in the collective hate of humanity both artificial and natural for these things made manifest as the closest to a "truely literal form" of fluffies. Although all this comes with the fridge logic implication that the fluffies are indirectly and passively making society as a whole more hateful and sociopathic due to the artificially induced sociopathy becoming the real deal. Whether learned, incorporated, or by simply wearing down the capacity for empathy via normalization.
The final product was supposed to be cute and cuddly. Now they're just horrible monsters with a façade of cuteness. Should've stuck with robots, would have been easier and kept PETA from pulling a PETA.
Alternatively it's all because of planned obsolescence and the intention was to make a fragile toy everyone _wants_ to end while enjoying the screams to encourage buying more scream machines.
Still doesn't excuse real people enjoying the torment just as much though but they probably have reasons. Hopefully. Just hope they can tell the difference between lines on a page and a real animal that just wants scritches.

The faulty prototype idea is one I'm not fully sold on. I think people over complicate things and try to fix fluffies in their mind when they're perfect just the way they are. They're supposed to be stupid, vain, insolent, immature, etc. If they were perfect pets, there would be no stories.

It's really quite interesting really.
While I was doing some stuff on the Fluffy Pony Community, I balanced out the two sided of Abusers and Hugboxers: those whom have issues with their lifes, and those who cherish the little moments of their life - and reflecting that through Fluffies - either as problematic little annoyances (or worse, actively frustrating to be a part of), or something to love (or admire as something of beauty)
I kinda went through an emotional rollercoaster, lashed at a Fluffy Pony Artist (MagnetaDemon) for a better ending, nearly went into a self-inflicted depression episode working on one of my stuff, and even fell in love at some points too (even using the aforementioned better ending (whom people actually loved from MagnetaDemon)).
And then it finally clicked. I wasn't an Hugboxer, nor am I am an abuser. No, I was a neutralboxer - and my last post had a special little something.
A pic of something I thought little of prior. But when I was finishing...it made sense.
People are like Fluffy Ponies, and Fluffy Ponies are like People. Dedicating one's life to pure love or Crumbling and lashing out at the world? It isn't worth it, when the ones you love rip you apart, or when the ones you bring pain to just wish to be loved.
This is why I love Fluffy Ponies. It's because I love Humanity.

So, I like Fluffies because I'm quite a horror fan, and this can be used a very different type of horror. Not gonna go into full on philosophical here for Fluffy stuff, but this utterly pointless and meaningless suffering just captivates me.
That said, I have abit of a head cannon that while many abusers are just the same sort that would torture a small animal and just use the excuse that fluffies are unnatural, I've noticed alot of stuff with fluffies have just average people acting needlessly aggressive towards them. I like to think that fluffies trigger one hell of an uncanny valley effect on some people, because they are so much like people, but are aren't human at all. This little hairy creature, that talks like a child, and has a face that kiiinda resembles a human messes with the human psyche, and triggers a violent response from some people who aren't normally more cruel than anyone else.
