- Depression really is a monster that can happen to anyone. As with most illnesses, early awareness and intervention is key to recovery. Anxiety happens to all of us for many reasons and there are so many great health tips to help us deal with the day to day downs but if you are having anxiety or sadness for an extended period of time, about 5 consecutive days, then it's absolutely necessary to take immediate action. Also, looking out for signs from your friends and loved ones.

It's not an age thing. Depression hit me at 14. It's been my constant companion through life. I'm 60 now and I still deal with it.
Yes, I get that I have known people who were depressed young in life and still deal with it. It is not a great companion that is for sure I only have boughts of it now and then it is not fun. I feel for those who have it with them always and I always try to encourage the ones I know that have it.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Not something any parent should go through. Sometimes the signs just aren't there - that is what this video is about. To show the signs so people can help.

That's exactly how being depressed feels like, wearing masks, feeling lonely and misunderstood even when surrounded by so many people, nobody outside understands the depth of the situation.
I'm 27 and I've been living in this condition the past 10 years and I'm still trying to get out of it.

As someone who suffers with anxiety, depression, and other mental health struggles...thanks for doing this song. These conditions can take everything from a person and often does... personality, will to be productive, friends, the list goes on. My tears are still running down my cheeks. Ky, you [erformed very well. Message is strong. The the writer(s) of the lyrics you did a masterful job. I am sixty-four and have been on meds for depression since my twenties. If I knew then what I know now I could have sought help as a teen. A fifteen year old student of mine took his own life sfter school one day. I saw he was on his phone so simply waved good bye. Less than an hour later he was gone. I regret to this day not walking the thirty or so feet to him just to say hello. Take nothing for granted. God's Blessings to ALL involved with this project. Thank you.

I almost lost my brother to depression 2 months ago. He’s recovering now but it’s gonna be a long way until he is fully recovered. If you are struggling speak up there are people who care about you.

This honestly brought tears to my eyes, especially towards the end. I've repeatedly suffered depression throughout my life, ever since I was a kid. I've lost friends to suicide and depression through the years and regularly hear from others suffering through depression too. So, I want to applaud you for making a song and video raising awareness of it, as well as how important it is to get help if you find yourself going through it. I'm definitely going to share this on my social media and hope others do too.

This is one of the ABSOLUTE BEST videos I have seen from you. When I saw Dear Mom, Stranger's Silence etc. I thought you were amazing! Now I know you are far beyond amazing and words cannot even describe what this means to me!! Being 17, seeing the word flip upside down from one day to another and trying to keep myself from mentally breaking down while having to deal with so much (mainly personal problems) at the same time plus having a friend who is suffering from depression and has attempted two suicides isn't easy at all! THIS SONG REALLY HIT HOME!!! I am 62, and have fought depression my entire life! I still struggle on a daily basis. I have a very understanding and supportive husband. I am the mother of 5 adult children....4 of them judge me, and won't speak to me because of my moods. But my youngest daughter, 30, is just like me.And I always have that feer in the back of my mind, that one day she will be gone. I just sent her your song to watch and listen to. THANK YOU !!!!!!

Depression is so extremely hard to live with and even harder when you try and do it on your own, people cant see Depression and we have learnt to put on that fake smile and laugh so how are they meant to know its not like we have a plaster cast on our arm everyone can see we have broken our arm so its up to us to take the second hardest step forward the first one is to addmit to yourself your have Depression the second and most importantly is to tell someone, ask for help, go to your gp, go to your school counselor or even your parents if you can but 100% reach out some way some how ❤❤❤❤ to all who reads this

I survived three years of a bipolar breakdown after my fathers death from cancer out of the blue. I grew boxing gloves in the process and would not wish it on anyone especially as it nearly killed me.
All who cared stood by me so I was very lucky as I was extremely challenging.
We all have mood changes but some are much more dynamic and for me caused by the emotional shock/grief.
Ky you are a very talented wise compassionate human being. ❤

Beautiful song, that's really deep for someone so young to understand those emotions. Just discovered this young singer a few weeks back when I was really low and "Dear mom" moved me to my core, because even at 37 years old sometimes I feel like letting go and leaving this world. Of course as he says teenage years are probably the hardest in life, but depression can it at anytime, you just have to find your moral support be it a friend, family member or doctor, don't be afraid to ask for help.

I added a comment last year, but I’m going to add another one. This song has taken on more meaning to me since I posted my comment. A few short months after I posted, I lost my mom suddenly with no warning. Then a few months later I had a change in duty at work, and now I struggle. I struggle more than I ever felt like I could. The one part about this video that resonates with me so much, the mask. Most days I paint a smile on my face and try to push forward, but then when I’m alone in the quiet…the mask falls off and I find myself asking “what am I doing? How do I keep going?” It truly is a struggle, I’ve always said I have inner demons that I’ve battled against, except now it feels like a full on war. But I continue to push myself forward, even when I stumble

I just came upon this song. It's beautiful. I've been dealing with depression m anxiety for yrs but on medication n have a therapist. It's nothing to be ashamed of. We can't help how we feel. Hay tantas personas lidiando con depresión y ansiedad que lamentablemente no buscan ayuda y calman cómo se sienten suicidándose al no encontrar otra salida al sufrimiento que tienen. Depression is so evil I wouldn't wish it on my worse enemy. I've suffered from it for many many years but as long as I wake up every day then I've kicked Depression in the arse. 1 day at a time is all we need to do and I'm 56
