I've owned two BMWs and two Minis, which are BMWs No thanks!!!! You drive off the lot and lose 20k instantly! I can rag my GR Carolla out for 5 years and sell it for 75% of what I bought it for BMWs also become absolute money pits after 60k miles
If you can find it for $5k over man that’s great. But keep in mind, most dealerships get 1 allocation of the circuit edition and that 1 allocation has a waitlist of at least 15-20 people lol. Couldn’t risk it but couldn’t be happier with the vehicle either 🙂

I went through this situation in February when I got my 2023 Supra A91 6MT (cu later gray). I called around 50-60 dealerships across the country until I finally found one on the east coast with only a $3k markup. So many dealerships I called got limited supply or the ones arriving were already spoken for. So many "waitinglists" I was on or left my number. Wanna know how many of those 50+ dealerships called me back December 2022 when I started my search? Just 1 and it was the dealer I closer the deal with. Nobody else ever called me back some even laughed saying good luck. It was either pay $3k markup or move on and forget about these new cars anytime soon. Just the nature of Toyota's limited production

I had a dealership in New Jersey laugh at me saying they had a Morizo in transit but that it would be live auctioned to the highest bidder and their circuits were already spoken for. As a detailer , thats a perfect color and paint easy to take care. Can’t barely see scratches, water spots and swirls in the future , But for Bug etching & Rock chips. It’s best to have PPF in the front bumper. And also , Such an Old school JDM feeling to drive that for sure.
What worries me is that if the dealers keep doing this. Toyota will think the cars aren’t selling and won’t ever give us any future GR related projects that they will give to the rest of the world. Not just with Toyota but with every other manufacturer with their special cars
I just got my Circuit Edition ordered yesterday in Ice Cap! I will confirm through talking with 6 local dealers, DFW Texas, there is still a 10k markup on these

Toyota did say they will extend the circuit edition to 2024, but how many units, colors, features are unknown. Speculation that the first 1500 will have features that potentially won’t carry over to 2024 (maybe carbon pressed roof, color, etc.). Also, not even sure if Toyota was able to meet the initial demand for 1500 and potentially using 2024 to finish their allocations 🤣. But yes, overall very happy. I feel like circuit edition is the sweet spot/middle child haha. Don’t understand why morizo wouldn’t have rear seats but has 4 doors haha

Also, when circuit editions are in transit, dealerships will auto generate the listing at MSRP. Until you see the actual window sticker, it’s not MSRP lol. My vehicle was listed at MSRP on the website and clearly it wasn’t.

It’s these allocations that they don’t have much pull for especially if this is their only allocation. Recently however, my father just bought at 23 tacoma from them and was able to get it significantly below MSRP 😉
Bro, you got finessed real hard. I’m in SoCal, one of the most overpriced markets in the US. I called about two different CEs that arrived earlier this month and they were at 5k and 7k over. They sold within a day but I didn’t even go in to do any additional negotiation. 57k on a circuit is a crazy bad deal.
Yeah unfortunately it’s just hit or miss really with this vehicle. This was the only allocation list I was on and wasn’t going to risk losing the vehicle. Someone even called on the car while I was there and if I backed out they were ready to buy. But as I showed in some examples, I’ve even seeing $15-$20k mark ups lol

mine is finally on its way after 19months of waiting.. and 10k mark up? no i honestly wouldn't have done that. i seen one in tennessee for $70k its a cool car but no you can get a Lexus RC F v8 500hp for that price. but again to each their own! yer happy with it that's fantastic. im paying MSRP at my dealership since i waited so long they are going to try and knock the order fee of $2500 off but yeah 10k id have to pass personally.
Congrats! Yeah the $10k add on sucked, but there are rare situations (for me at least) where you aren’t in a position to negotiate. The RCF is a great car, but there is just something special about this Corolla that I couldn’t pass up.
Got me a fully loaded Core in black. I added the CE spoiler and hood. It was impossible to get the CE here in 🇵🇷. In all, I paid 60k for my GRC 😅 the 2024 CE will add Hud and the Morrizo wheels.

For the core edition maybe, the circuit edition it’s very few at that. Dealerships get 1 allocation and usually for that allocation is a wait list. Just couldn’t risk it.

This is coming from an owner of an A80 Supra, A90 Supra and a Lexus NX 450+ (Daily Driver) So I get the want and desire (all of it) but that's an additional 18-20k. I paid no markup for my Launch Edition Supra A90 and no markup on my Lexus NX 450+. In short if there is a will there is a way.

It’s only with my recent purchases (TRD pro tundra and GR Corolla circuit edition) that I paid any mark up. Yes, I could have waited and take my chances on getting on another list, but when I’ve waited over a year and the car is sitting in front of you, I rather close the deal then put myself through the hassle and headache of obtaining one at MSRP (if I am even able to) since most of the allocations are spoken for. Overall, very happy with the car 🙂

I own a slew of disirable "Toyotas" and I have yet to pay a single dollar on markup on any of them. No matter how you argue this you have to look it from the Brand's perspective not the dealership. Do you think Toyota want's or agrees to makup their cars? Like Ferrari? Going for an exclusive clientele?

Why else would they limit the production of these vehicles? The only reason they continued the “circuit” edition was due to the excessive demand and complaints from those who weren’t able to obtain it. And of course who could pass up that opportunity to make money. No offense to your Supra, but the demand for that vehicle is no where near the level of the Corolla. Utilizing BMW turned off many true Toyota fans. It’s a BMW with a Toyota badge. End of it all, the blue color is nice. Does it make me regret my purchase? Not one bit. Does it suck I paid a mark up? Sure! But I don’t have buyers remorse and fortunate enough to where the cost doesn’t bother me. I have no intent to sell this vehicle and 100% satisfied. For that peace of mind makes it worth it to me

Apparently nobody is doing msrp and dealer addons of 5k+ on accessories.. I really like this car maybe wait until 2025?

Maybe for the core edition, but Circuit editions are hard to come by, especially at MSRP. Type R is great! Can’t go wrong with either one honestly.
