Pereira is massive for the weight class, he would beat most HWs, there's only a few that would beat him.
If he picks the right moment to go for a HW title shot, he could easily be a 3 weight ufc champ.
He is the same weight as most guys in this weight class. He's not even as big as Jones. Hell he took this fight weight 227. Robert Whitaker fights at 185 walking around at that weight.

Joey, I don't want to say I told you so, but what did I say about Jiris fight IQ? If he wanted to grapple with Alex, he would have done so in their first fight. I knew based on how he fought the first time he would let his pride get in the way once again and try and stand with Alex. Jiri paid for that mistake with his consciousness.

My guess is poatan will move up to heavyweight when he loses the belt. He's getting up there in age and heavyweight is the division to fight in if you're getting older. It may seem obvious to grapple with Alex but that devastating knee is there and those entries are risky. You don’t see a whole lot of guys getting the clinch up against the cage really so nobody is dragging him down from there either. He’s good at keeping people at his optimal range.
