    This is wonderful! I loved all the little ecological detail: nesting pterosaurs snapping at individuals gliding overhead: baby sauropods with one or two pterosaus on their backs being shepherded by giant adults with whole flocks perched on theirs; and the Carcharodontsaurus pack passing by snoozing spinosaurs!
    I loved how this was not a bright, tropically sunny environment, too: living in the UK, we don't get clear tropical waters often, so seeing a grey sea feels all the more realistic! I could almost feel how cold that water was!

    This is a treat! Carcharodontosaurus finally gets the attention it deserves. The reconstruction is really cool. I like how "chubby" it is :) The face-off with the Spino and the tail whacks by the sauropod is amazing and will not go unnoticed. Truly impressive.

    First of all I'd like to stress how beautiful this animation is.
    A couple of details that I noticed.
    I doub small carcharodontosaurs would look like mini adults, I'd hypothesise that their proportions would be different. As examples we can have tyrannosauruan offspring (I know they are distantly related) or the recent Cau's paper. Obviously until we find the juveniles, will the matters clear up.
    As to the sauropods, the front feet seem a bit too elephantine at the foor, the rest is excellent.
    The las thing that struck me was the lac of uropatagium (the membrane between legs) in the pterosaurs.
    Keep up the good work!

    May I ask what software you use to make your models and what texturing software you use as well? I am a junior 3D generalist, still learning and your work never fails in amazing me, I always look forward to new content and I am looking forward to new ones. Great work though, keep it up

    Beautifully composed. Immersive and believable. There's just something about the way the sauropods move which doesn't seem quite right, it's as if they weigh less than they ought to. I am in awe at your work, nonetheless.

    • @johnsonmortimer
      @johnsonmortimer  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      hello thanks Malcolm yes there a hard creature to animate and get the feeling of weight

    • @amniote69
      @amniote69 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@johnsonmortimer One thing that might help is to think of the load-bearing limbs as columns and keep them as straight as possible, with movement restricted to the shoulder or hip joints. Some of the largest sauropods evolved to do away with their front feet altogether, instead walking on fused wrist bones. This was a solution to cut out unnecessary flexibility. Anyway, your work is incredible and with the attention to detail you have, it can only get better.
