- We visit the grave and resting place of Stephen Maynard Clark was an English musician. He was the principal songwriter and lead guitarist for the English hard rock band Def Leppard until 1991, when he died from alcohol poisoning. In 2007, Clark was ranked No. 11 on Classic Rock Magazine's "100 Wildest Guitar Heroes". In 2019, Clark was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Def Leppard. Def Leppard was never the same after Steve Clark passed away. One of the greatest guitar players of all time. His contribution to the band was immeasurable. Both in song lyrics and the guitar riffs. That's a beautiful headstone he has. Such a shame he passed away at such a young age. An incredible talent gone much too soon.

Queen is my favorite band but im a big Def Leppard fan. Steve Clark and Freddie Mercury both passed away in 1991 and that was so sad. Hard to believe that both of them are dead 31 years this year. Wow time flies.

An absolutely beautiful and thoughtfully put together video of this great guitarist. Def Leppard were my heroes at the time of there rising and from there my musical tastes were born and will last forever well past my life. May Steve Clarke be forever remembered and never forgotten, left way to soon, some say the price of rock fame. A tear was shed watching this video

I say this with love.. Joe Elliott says steve wrote some riffs.. Steve wrote the songs .. there was success after him but never the same without his creativity...JOe get ovet it.. your guitaritst and songwriter died.. it was never the same.

Great video but some facts are completely wrong he only ever wrote one full song which was wasted. The band as whole write all the songs from parts they have brought together.

Dear,,, You can easily found a lot of articles that Joe elliott admitted main principal of sound and song writing in band was Steve Clark. Steve was the Principal of the Def Leppard’s uniqueness.
@@deflepsteve all wrong ive seen enough interviews where its said im not saying a word against steve in the slightest but hes wasnt the band theres always been a collective band.
@@mrt8721 I have also,seen interviews where Joe Elliott states that Steve is the main songwriter. Could explain why that have never had the success that they had when he was alive.
