maybe I’m wrong, but I would imagine that a single string makes it much harder tuning-wise because I would imagine that overtones that you would normally get from the other strings are automatically eliminated.
I really like the tone of your violin especially on the G string. I am sure it's one of those expensive antique old Italian violins.... The G string sounds so much edgy with depth... And of course it sounds best under your hands. Congratulations on the excellent performance

The best performance I've heard for this composition, no doubt! I believe, single string on the violin helped to achieve IDEAL sound retrieval from the violin, but 99% is because of Maestro himself. Thank you!

@@SinanAkkoyun Nope! Different violinist, different eras. Oistrakh (who I saw perform at Carnegie Hall) was a master not only of technique but interpretation. This guy? I dunno. What's his Prokofiev like? Shostakovitch?

It's difficult to tell in a comment. Bow speed and pressure have great role, and also vibrato. It needs a lot of experimenting.
