Garden Island Shipwrecks

The Garden Island Shipwrecks are part of a Maritime Heritage Trail, made up of craft that were active in an era when the maritime industry dominated transport, trade and employment. From 1909 to 1945 the North Arm of the Port Adelaide River became the place where vessels were abandoned. The wrecks were made up of dredgers, barges, pontoons, ferries, sailing ships and steamers.
