I had watched this game live with my father in Verona in 1990. Remembering every single detail. It is so strange that this land (Yugoslavia) even doesn’t exist anymore. Can you, dear reader of this comment just imagine, the land you are living now in, simply exists no more? And I tell you, those guys were also better against Argentina with Maradona in the next game, but had no luck. After the game we saw many sad Spanish people on the city. I had a huge respect for them (always liked them as s big football nation). But we had had a better team then - the last team before the wall street capital invaded and split Yugoslavia into pieces.

What a player. We had a lot of very good top players at that time in WC Italy (Savicevic, Prosinecki...), Yugoslavia deserved to play in final of WC 90. We were much better opponent against Argentina, but sadly we lost in penalty kick roulette.
