I have an old mixer by Stone, does a yard in 3 mixes. I welded fork slots to it to use my tractor to move the mixer around. Makes placing the concrete easy and not have to wheelbarrow or bucket it. $100 in Portland, $40 for both the gravel and sand for a yard at 4,000 psi. Takes me about 2-3 hours to pour a 1.5 yard pad by myself. Quikrete ends up being close to $300 a yard.
I need to pour around 5,000 sqf of concrete floors before going on top with self leveling epoxy in a high rise building (actually it's a 47th floor), my only access is through the service elevator. I'm seriously considering getting one of these machines to complete this job. Do you think it is the best way to go considering the large amount of material I need to pour?
@@TheJamesHarrison it varies from 3 to 5 inches. I'm getting paid by square footage. The project is divided in two phases, the first on is the concrete pouring and finish, then I'll come back to do a 100% solids epoxy on top of everything (primer+epoxy+clear coat)
Bobcat or wheel barrow I like that kind of mixer because you can back the trailer or truck up to it and just drop the bags on the grate and have it mix with little effort of moving the bags around
