This video is absolutely 100% what I was looking for. You and your wife did a hell of a job. I have to pour 2 pallets plus a few additional 80lb bags and I am renting the mud mixer. I will be the loader and my wife will be pushing and pulling the concrete around. What setting did you use for water? I setup my scaffolds on wheels and made a bench on wheels so the bags will be no lower than waist high for transfer to the mud mixer. Definitely a back saver for a guy over 50 (me)
Some of the hardest working people I've ever met did it for years now slot of them are getting joints replaced as the end result can't wait to see your finished results and plants growing in there👍
Wow!! What a dream mixer. I was skeptic about that little machine, since we are used to bigger drum, faster work, but it’s defiantly a producer. Thanks for sharing!!
I would put it up against most Trump mixers just for the fact that you don't have to move the concrete twice. We did approximately 42 bags in a little over an hour once everything was set up.
I've been watching every Mud Mixer video I can find for the last year or so - so I was happy to see someone on a channel I was already subscribed to using one. Nice job! I'd like to see some details on your water tank and pump setup. Maybe a short video on that?? I'm planning on renting a Mud Mixer this summer to pour a slab for a large shed. We're on a well and our water pressure fluctuates some, not to mention, I'd rather have a few hundred gallons on hand in a tank versus worrying about drawing down the well (although we've never had a problem) during the pour. How much water did you end up using on that slab? Looking forward to seeing more of your projects using the Mud Mixer!!
I will say when video I've seen on this thing when they first start they use the attached garden hose to wet down the actual corkscrew that pushes the concrete out. That way it doesn't catch.
Awesome stuff, as always. This mixer is the cats meow. Wish I known about this mixer before I did 1500 Sq ft of new tile drinage in my basement instead of buying a drum mixer so much easier with this type
@@TonysTractorAdventure Ah ok, we always have access to sand so it's cheaper to buy a bag of "portland" for what we do and shovel the sand in the mixer.
I have already purchase my mudmixer. Now I am eyeballing that tractor. What is the specs on your tractor looks like about what I need for must of my projects. Can you share the make and model with us please and thank ya.
I have only mixed type s mortar in mine so far but I have noticed that sometimes I get a void where the dry mix doesnt fall all he way down to the auger and that causes excess water to pool up in the shoot then when itstarts going again you get a really wet mix. I end up poking it down with a 5 gallon paint stick. Im almost thinking it could use a small vibrator mounted on the hopper to vibrate the mix down faster and more consistently. Anyone else experience that? Im still happy so far but feel like that could make it great.
@@happy2b4 I added a 110v vibrator and poured about 3-4 yards with zero issues of consistency once I had it dialed in for those getting consistency issues its either the dry mix getting plugged or not falling consistently into the auger or a water supply issue. I added the vibrator and could tell it was vibrating the mix down way better than before
Not at all. Many times you can't get a truck to a site. Many times a truck will not deliver a small amount. There are hundreds of scenarios where the mud mixer is the best choice. Not always but many times.
MUD MAN & WOMAN!!!! YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! You are not wearing any what when wrong??? I mean right??? TEHEEEEE!!!! TEHEEEEEE!!!!! GREAT JOB.... TANYA ARE ARMS SORE???
We ended up putting on respirators because there was still some dust inside the building. For the most part, this makes DIY concrete much easier. 42 bags and just over an hour.
i know how to make this machine faster cus i think it mix the concrete to slow, what if you put two pipes instead of one that will make it twices faster . i am a welder so iam gonna modifie one of this mud mixer , like if you wanna see the results. or you can give my idea to the mud mixer team ...
They have definitely done a good job of marketing through influencers. It looks awesome on the various videos but it’s a chunk of cash to spend and it makes me nervous that its all marketing wank that’s too good to be true
You can rent one for $60 a day where I live. One day rent for a 12x12 patio slab is a bargain. Just add bags. Not getting a cement truck out for 1.5 yards.
LOL says “we’re gonna use the hoe to spread the concrete” Then the shot cuts to a woman… using a rake. Good video though. That concrete looked a little dry when you fist turned it on, was it?
I'm sure you've heard the adage "opinions are like assholes, everybody has one"? In both cases they don't always serve the purpose! I'm an 81 year old third generation mason so I've mixed a lot of mud. No offence intended. Merely an observation!@@TonysTractorAdventure
"I did watch a video on this, so I'm pretty much an expert."
Classic!
I thought you might like that. 😁
😂
I believe it as it looks easy, just need someone to lift the bags for me.
A person can buy 40-50 pound bags. They are easier to work with.
Santa Claus is keeping himself busy until Xmas.

A tool for everything Tony, easier than a shovel and a tray that's for sure. Thanks for posting.
Mixing concrete in a bucket pushed me to get a Mud Mixer. We have a lot of concrete to pour.
Tony, appreciate the demo. You guys were kicking some cement butt. Full-watch. Later. 👍🏽🤠 5/17/23
Thank you. Full video next week.
As ALWAYS . . . LOVE YOUR VIDEO'S! YOU AND TONYA MAKE A WONDERFUL TEAM! THANK YOU FOR SHARING ALL THAT YOU DO!

I really don't know how much water I used, I ended up setting it in 55.

I have never had much problem with it. It is a very good machine.
That is a great machine for small jobs Tony! A great back saver!!! ❤

I am impressed with how easy we mixed 42 bags of concrete. A little over an hour.
That is very impressive. Holy cow it took me probably 5 hrs to do that many bags lol
Great work! And a great machine! Definitely a must for anyone pouring a lot of concrete. Now for handprints! 😂 👐 Thanks for sharing, Tony!
The Gizmo dog was thinking about walking through it.
How much more does it cost having to buy ready mix vs getting the separate components separately and cheaper?
I am not sure. That is not in my wheelhouse of experience. I will probably always by ready mix.
@@TonysTractorAdventure Ah ok, we always have access to sand so it's cheaper to buy a bag of "portland" for what we do and shovel the sand in the mixer.

That is the T474. It is 48.8hp. I love it. It is a very well rounded tractor.
Great job great video thanks Tony and Tanya

@@afbigfish1 Small vibrator? They can get a bit pricey. Thanks!
Just stumbled across your channel.. Love the build videos.
The weather has us down for a couple weeks, but we will be back at it soon.
@@TonysTractorAdventure I have plenty to catch up on!
Wow!!! Looks great !!!
Great work and nice machine 😃😃
Thank you
What? No paw print?
I have been looking at the Mud Mixer. It seems to me that it is cheaper getting ready mix than buying it buy the bag and using the mixer. Am I wrong?
Not at all. Many times you can't get a truck to a site. Many times a truck will not deliver a small amount. There are hundreds of scenarios where the mud mixer is the best choice. Not always but many times.
I kinda figured location would play into it. If you can get a truck to it redi mix would be cheaper.@@TonysTractorAdventure
Tony, shouldn't you be using 4" mesh?
Maybe so, but I am not doing it for these small pours.
It works great!!!)))))
Yes it does!
she used a garden rake, to do this wow skills
I am not sure if you mean what you are saying or being sarcastic???
What's the price point on the mixer???
I believe 3 grand
Can you build a house with this?
I guess. People build houses with a lot less.
Cool tool for small jobs. Mix looked good consistency.
The consistency is very stable. As long as the water pressure is stable, it will do its job.
Do a lot bigger jobs than you would expect. Much faster than the old tub mixers.
If one buys this machine, they would be best served spraying down the hopper and auger with diesel fuel so the concrete don't harden up
I have owned it for almost 2 years. I have never had a problem with it.
Bobcat needs to make this an attachment lol...
You are a money expert though. Very nice accessaries to complete task. Nice….
We started with nothing and will leave with nothing.

No rocks, sand? Just pure concrete? Why no rebar?
Not pure concrete. Ready mix. Rock and sand are already in it. It is only for walking on.
@@TonysTractorAdventure ah, ready mix, ok ty.
Cement dust is hazardous.
Sure. Regular dust is hazardous. Read about the dust bowl in the early 1900's
It should be larger

That looks slow... maybe for small jobs.
It is much faster than a traditional mixer
Your wife is quite lovely.
Thank you
Slow af for $3,000
I disagree. I can run circles around someone with a standard mixer
Absolutely not…
With a 9 cubic yard mixer
Using 6-80lbs bags at a time … this mudmixer is quite slow
You need more water
