I think they have hinted Tasm 3 as andrew says i have never fought an alien. So i think it is hinting for a future alien villain and it also hinted miles morales as Electro says there might be a black spider man somewhere so sony might be setting something up.

Raimi’s plan was: Vulture as the main villain and black cat as his sidekick throughout the whole movie but turns sides with spider man at the end and then he was thinking about setting mysterio for the spider man’s 5th movies (which of course wasn’t gonna happen *sony intensifies*).
And then after like almost everything was over in the story of the movie part. Amy pascal wanted Dr. Lizard. And Raimi felt real bad ‘cuz he wasn’t able to give the spider man trilogy a great finale. And then Amy pascal as her plans was, rebooted with the spider man series which we know as, “Amazing Spider-Man”. Andrew deserves a second chance though.
