    I like the view from this camera better than the chest mount. We can see the road better and the helmet mount allows for us to see what you are looking at. For instance, if you look out to the Bay you can narrate for us as to what you want us to see. The audio on the Drift Ghost was good too, however, there isn't anything quit like a GoPro. Maybe try the GoPro on a dash mount for comparison. Thanks for letting us come along and see more of your neck-of-the-woods. I really like that horn! Take Care

    Thank you Paul for the ride! I'm a rider of mostly sport bikes but broke my back on the job and then the surgeon messed up and paralyzed me from the waste down so this video was exactly what I needed, it was like a ride.
    Hopefully when I'm able to walk again first think I'll do is but a GL1800, love them.
    So again thank you.

    Two things I don't miss about a bike, getting caught in the rain without a face shield and my legs shivering so bad in the cold that the whole bikes shakes. Learned that lesson on my first bike which was a 350 Honda way back in the late '60's. Take care and God Bless! Levi~~

    • @7863348
      @7863348  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      mi2tn Oh but that's have the fun of it. That's the stuff you get to never forget lol. I had a Honda 350 Four back in 1972. Loved loved loved that bike. Moved up to the 550 Four then onto the CB750 Four. God I miss those days. Bikes were real bikes. No ABS brakes and cruse control. More roughing it and it was more fun to.
      God bless my friend.

      Rick Anderson Oh Ya. Sure would have. It's not that cold on the bike because I get heat from both front rads and it's got a heated seat but I'd rather have warm weather to ride.

    `Thanks for the ride on your Goldwing. It is 0830 hrs here and already 89 degrees F. I got so cold on the vicarious ride my air conditioner turned itself off. Bleak, hard rock country up there. A nice change from the green flatness or the Sun Coast of Florida.

      8:30 this morning it was sunny here and 60 degrees out. Absolutely perfect in my opinion. If it had been 89 I would have had the AC on all day lol . I'm not much good in the heat. Yes it can look bleak around here at time but it depends on the time of the year. I'd like to have more of your sun though. Keep well and thanks for watching.

    Nice wing, great video, I'm working on my GL trunk lid repairing the broken out mounting holes from a Kuryakyn luggage rack. I put a dashcam on my bike but found the mount allowed for too much vibration, need to fab up a better mount.

    • @7863348
      @7863348  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      snocrushr You can get the oversized washers to go under those racks to prevent the holes from cracking. I never went with the rack. Don't know why, maybe because I figured it would be hard to clean under it. Your right about a mount. I think that's the direction I'm heading in to get better footage. Thanks for watching and commenting and please, ride safe.

    this is your 2nd ride of this season? At home here in Kings Co., Nova Scotia their is still alot of snow on the ground, and they''re calling for flurries tonight.I have a motorcycle as well,mind you not near as fancy as yours, not even a thought of riding it right now.Hopefully with in the next couple weeks. Do you have heated gear for cold weather riding? Enjoy your videos, and your bike is totally awsome.

    • @7863348
      @7863348  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      cliff ohandley Yes and the two rides were today. After the second ride it started to snow lol. It wasn't that cold. I have a heated seat and I get hot air from the duel rads in the front of the bike. I was just experimenting with the cameras. I don't like filming on a motorcycle. Can't control the wind noise. Fancy don't matter. It's not what you but more on the lines of as long as you ride. Yes I have the GoldWing but I smile more when I get on my old 1965 Honda Cub and go up the street. It's a simple little thing that I get a real kick out of riding. Hope you get yours on the go soon and that your weather improves.
      Ride safe my friend.

    Hey Paul great demo videos of the two set ups.I kinda of thought the cameras were about the same picture quality,although the GoPro seems to have better stability than the Drift,but in all fairness to the Drift you were on a motocross track when testing it.I thought the shot from your helmet was better than the chest shot as well.I thought the sound quality was much better with the mic on your jacket,but you also raised the wind shield,we will have to see if it sounds as good when you can open the vent.By the way did the guy holding you up on the way back in the pick up ever make it to his own funeral,he was sure driving like that's where he was heading LOL. Just my 2 cents....You guys keep the shinny side up and keep em coming.

    • @7863348
      @7863348  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jeff Truck Great observations my friend. Both cameras have their place. I'm going to experiment more and maybe build a custom mount for them. It may have seemed like the guy in the truck was going slow but he was going at the rated speed limit and that's why I didn't pass him. I try and keep it legal or at least while I'm video taping ;)

      @7863348  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      bud moore Oh I was so tempted to pass and to tell the truth I normally would have but if I did I can assure you some viewer would have red me the riot act on why I shouldn't have passed. Some like the narration and others want to hear nothing. That's why a lot of bike videos add music to their videos. You can't win at this video stuff my friend. You'll see now that your doing it. There's always someone who say you do it wrong, do it to slow, to fast.... It's the way it is ;)

    • @jifi-0178
      @jifi-0178 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Paul Short Paul has cubics and he's gonna use 'em so watch out!!! Lead handed, Paul? LOL. Paul's NEVER shy of using the throttle. HAHAHA *teasing poke, had to go there since it was brought up* I know, I know, you just wanted us to hear the engine so you were making it louder. ;-)
      Just saying ... from a VIEWING perspective as there were a few spots where the view was zipping by a little too fast for us to easily see or observe. We, as viewers, are busy looking and site seeing all the "other stuff" you want to share while you're taking care of the driving. Some points the things just fly by, so you get more of a tunnel vision (straight forward only). Maybe a 3-cam setup for the scenic rides? I'm sure a lot of us wouldn't mind more tours. :-)
      I would say I definitely liked the location of the Drift Ghost on the Gold Wing, this round. Clarity and sound were just as good or better than the previous ride, I think. Good job, sir. :-)

    They must tax you people pretty fiercely, even in a good year we can't afford to have as many potholes as you have. We have been robbed, or may be our potholes were exported to Newfoundland just so they can put a whole row of them right across the road rubbing shoulders, I imagine your shock absorber fluid is now more than warm enough to drive out any moisture.
