Watchmen on the wall, the Lord God has me listening only to you. I tried several times to listened to other shofars and I can't. I must be obedient. I feel the Lord's peace with your shofar. I sleep sweetly. God bless every shofar playing on the earth pour out your Spirit Lord.

Is this under a freeway bridge? Your getting good at those rasping gritty blasts eg @ 7.53 or 8.11. I find side blow makes those a little more manageable...Do you use a simple camera rig to record with?
Great thing with shofars is you have to stop thinking wether they can produce a Julie Andrews sound of music, and focus on the raw sonic sound they produce. This horn is a powerful one. Did you get from Israel?

Greetings Jonathon. This is in a parking garage. This particular car park is located close to a busy freeway where I can see and hear the cars and trucks as they pass by. Right now all I use is a smart phone switching between best video quality and the lower setting used for this video. This shofar did come from Israel. I filed the opening to be slightly larger and also sanded down the tip just a hair as one portion of the mouthpiece was too sharp. I see I have quite a few videos to catch up on... something tells me that you have had more revelations leading to 'new songs'. Shalom Brother ! - Bryan

You could use your laptop to record. Get sony acid or a similar soft ware, and a condenser mic and a USB interface (one that will also supply phantom power to run the mic) If you have a decent battery in your lap top you can record for an hour or more. You can get USB mic's that plug direct to lap top but I have never used one. Its interesting to use a better quality sound recording synch'ed with video. Then again I dont know if you are in a neighborhood where you are likely to have things like lap top's taken away by theives....

I havent used my laptop yet with a mic but that will improve the tone. I am starting to step out of parking structure practice as it is forcing me to sound differently and not rely on all that fat echo. I watch your posts and am praying I can coax a lot more nuances out of one note and each note. I have to go back to go forward. I have also been praying that The Holy Spirit guides my sounding. I find this easier with the rams horn than with the kudu... a lot easier.
The lap top will have to stay close to me in the places I go to sound.
      Blessings Jonathon !

      Thanks Bryan,
have spent some time with the diddley bow, its a great way to "undo" all the culturised euro centric music theory hangups about what should be "THE" doh reh me sound of music. I wish I'd have taken its microtonal possibilities more seriously a long time ago....I am planning a sequence with a root note from the shofar, and a didley bow string accompaniment tuned roughly, or maybe precisely, to that root note. Praise HIM with the stringed instrument. Make a joyful SOUND
As for shofar modification, one thing I found extremely useful was to make the top surface of the mouthpiece to slope downwards a little, all the way roundso that the edge is higher in the middle than it is on the outside. I found this was a great way to better control air and prevent it leaking. I might do a video of all that stuff.
      Shalom, Jonathan

Hi Jonathon, I think that you probably were preparing for the bow more than u realize. I used to make a staccato sound when I spoke as a young guy, almost like a billy goat with multiple breaks in each word. This drove my sisters nuts, which, being a devious kid made me do it all the more around them. Then, some 30 + years later I found that this is a powerful way to sound a shofar.
There is clearly breakthroughs in your posts that are, or sound to be Holy Spirit powered.
I am looking forward to the shofar and diddley bow. Thanks for the mouthpiece tip. You described that clearly. I am going to do some slight sanding on my yemenite along the top as that is where leakage is happening.
Keep praising him with new bow songs!
      Shalom, shalom.

@Watchmen-Nehemiah 4:20, thank you for sharing this particular video. I need to put together a piece of ministry where worship and intercession takes the central role. The piece is based on a vision I had last year during a prayer study... I remember walking up a flight of stairs and in front of me were two large doors, as i pushed them open and stood on the threshold, as far as I my eyes could see in the large room everything was covered in dust and cobwebs were hanging down from the ceiling and in corners; the place was stone cold. The room looked like a church / place of meeting. Even the altar was covered in dust, and the thought came to mind "where are the watchmen?" Do you have anything new where prayer is the main focus?

Thanks for the note Sister. Some of our Brothers and Sisters have yet to dance before The Lord as King David did. Breakthrough and a spirit of pride, haughtiness can be broken in doing this. Spirits can be removed. Deliverence can occur in worship and praise. I have seen this recently. The Spirit(s) didn't want to stay! Prayer 🙏 needs to increase in all of us for the devil and his minions are running rampant unheeded as Christians neglect their first obediences, deliverence, repentence, prayer and worship, while arguing amongst themselves over lesser matters. There aren't as many sober and alert as there should be! When I post it I will send you a notification. Thankyou ! Blessings in Jesus Yahushua ! -Bryan
