Those are some fantastic sounding basses! The positioning of the magnetic pickup can get some of that wooly sound, while the piezo can be blended in to add some definition! Combining this with a shorter scale (more emphasis on fundamental frequencies, less emphasis on harmonics when compared to a standard long scale bass) makes it even more interesting of a sound, with a really rich character to the bass.
