      Actually, The Jungle Book is ANYTHING but a kid's movie. It's a FAMILY movie. Just because it's animation doesn't mean it's solely for kids.

    • @themajesticotter193
      @themajesticotter193 หลายเดือนก่อน +21

      @@annien.1727 Perhaps but no one was questioning it. Before I continue, I do like the fact that you are telling that there is a difference BUT
      most of the time 'kids movie' and 'family movie' are used in the same way and everyone knows what is meant. I'ts a language thing.
      To give a weird example: Lets say two people are in a room that is empty save for a table with a hotdog in a bun sitting on top. If one says to the other " Hey, can you hand me that sandwich? " and points toward the hotdog on the table, the other person isn't going to look confused ( if but for a moment at worst ) look around the table and past it and go " I don't see a sandwich. " They will instead see the hotdog on the table and realize they are talking about the hotdog and hand it to them. Sure they might tease the dude and wonder why he's calling the hotdog a sandwich but he suddenly wouldn't know what he's talking about.
      I'd wager that not one person here heard " kid movie " and went " are they talking about Jungle Book? That's not a kid's movie, that's a Family movie." Except for you of course.
      And if you want to get technical The Jungle Book, both the film and the book, were both meant for children aged 9+ It's a family film in the same way anything kid friendly is a family film. Though to be fair I do believe there is enough in the movie to appeal to an older generation of the time to be classified as a family film. Ultimately this is a children's film.

      The crow characters are in Dumbo - and they're absolutely caricatures. Jungle Book's birds were British Invasion vultures.
      The disclaimer could be because jazz is and was associated with African-Americans and therefore the inadvertent monkey comparison remained. That seems to be the general understanding in articles discussing it. Or it could be related to the British Raj setting or how the man-village was presented.

    I love that! Feels lukewarm something King Louie would say: “Are you trying to make a monkey out of me”?!

    I love how stories about the most successful songs usually occur at ungodly hours of the night 😂

    Always knew there was a reason that walking scene looked so memorizing. 😂 cause it was so smoothe for its time.

      Big band and Swing, Jazz ,and the like seem to be harder to find.. Thank you for keeping the notes alive.
      We should all know where everyone got their start, their part, and their heart.

      I can't believe Disney would change a timeless classic to appeal to modern audiences. That was never what they did from the very beginning of the company when they would cut out the most disturbing parts of fairytales and replace them with more wholesome stuff instead

      Yeah modern audiences still love It lmao It's the grumpy dudes around the executive table that don't, they also don't like the 2d disneys very much at all!

    The way that the penist's face looked when he turned to his audience saying the "Oh, oh, oh...." line is pretty funny. Idk why but just the way his face looks like there sorta looks out of place and in doing so looks like it is a funny looking expression that he's posing with lolz.

    Reminder rotoscoping was a really common technique early Disney used to do and that what doubled the charm of the characters when moving
