    I am going to save this video to my favorites so I can use it as a reference. At first I thought I would get bored but how wrong could I be. I was very interested and also educated! So that’s how you use a fan brush! Thank you Lexi, this was a really cool, informative analysis of make up brushes! Happy Mother’s Day for tomorrow beautiful young Make Up Mom! 💄❤️🔝

    Hi Lexi
    Since the lockdown I haven't used any makeup and brushes even though I purchased some just before the lockdown.
    Sonia G sky set and the Rephr set.
    I need to wash the brushes
    first!!!
    I coloured my hair yesterday and then put the Olaplex treatment in...I'm going to wait a few days before washing it out.
    X

    Hi Lexi. Between the Suquu Face and Cheek brushes and the Surratt ones, which one wiuld yiu choose to use on a regular basis (hypotaticly, of course). Thank you. Love from UK x

    • @LexiJong
      @LexiJong  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is so hard to say Alexandra! But first, just in case you aren't aware, the SUQQU natural hair brushes are no longer in production. They have switched to synthetic fibers at the same price point. I haven't tried their synthetics but I can't imagine them coming close to the natural hair versions or the Surratt so I would go with the Surratt. If you have the SUQQU natural hair, I think between the two brands they are pretty close and it would honestly be a toss up. I think I prefer the SUQQU face over the Surratt face slightly but the cheek brushes I use equally. If you are looking for something like the SUQQU natural hair brushes, check out the Kyureido Kiwami or FudeJapan brushes. They are from the same manufacturer and less expensive but just as nice.

    I'm glad I found this video! So comprehensive! I'm tempted by the Sonia G. brushes. I was going to not get into her brushes because I know once I start, I won't be able to stop until I buy every single one of them 😂.

    Hi Lexi - would that Surratt face brush work well for bronzer? I wanted something that could give some direction but thinking the Surratt is so gentle you can build? However I worry about a big brush causing application to look too muddy?

    • @LexiJong
      @LexiJong  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think this one could work for bronzer in a light application but it isn’t the best choice. Take a look at the rephr 04 or the chikuhodo fo-4. I think they are both small enough to not make things muddy but also a bit firmer and the angled head allows for directionality.

    Hi Lexi. Really liked your video. I just bought the sky face set ( I had the eye sky set for a while now, and I love it) , and yesterday was my first time using it. I liked the cheek brushes a lot. My favorite Sonia g brush is the face pro (I love it so much that I have 2 of them 😅) . I would love to try the surrat one.. i wonder how it compares to the suqqu one.

    I had no idea that undyed hair was preferable to use with cream products !!! I'll definitely pay more attention 🤔 I've been eyeing the Sonia G. brushes for a little while now but a lot of them are sold out and I prefer to purchase them individually because there's always one or two brushes on the sets that I know I won't get much use out of unfortunately, and a lot of them are sold out on Beautylish at the moment ! I hope they restock soon ! In the mean take care 🤗😚

    • @LexiJong
      @LexiJong  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sunset and Moonlight keep an eye out because Sonia G mentioned that there should be a restock soon for a lot of them but she isn’t sure when because of everything that is going on. Then she said something new is coming in September I believe. I will post on IG when I see something. If you don’t follow her, she is @sweetmakeuptemptations and she has a blog with the same name where she posts updates.

    I’m really interested the the Chikuhodo fo and z series. I think I want to try one of each. I do have both Sonia G sky sets and love them. I love the Wayne Goss Airbrush for setting powder under the eyes! It just glides so smoothly. That’s my recommendation for you. :) Love all the squirrel hair ones he has.

    • @LexiJong
      @LexiJong  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sheila Dunbar I have the airbrush but haven’t really used it under the eyes. I will try that! Now that Beautylish is having another sale I need to build up a new cart! I haven’t gotten any of the z brushes yet but they are on my list. I have heard they are similar to the Surratt which are amazing! Do you have any other WG recs?

    • @sheiladunbar3116
      @sheiladunbar3116 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lexi Jong I did get his face brush set and also purchased the #19 and #20 eye brushes. I don’t really reach for the eye brushes (I should because I have hooded eyes). I just think the eye sky set has the versatility that I need. The #14 (cheek brush) and #15 (fan brush) face brushes were a little too wispy for me. Comparing Sonia’s soft cheek to Wayne’s #14, the soft cheek is twice as dense almost. Wayne’s #13 is excellent for buffing in your cream blushes because it is somewhat flat on the top and then curves. I also liked the #11 and #12 face brushes. They look like the same shape, #11 is a tad bit bigger. They kind of remind me of the Classic cheek, but bigger.

      Sheila Dunbar thank you! I never know where to start and sometimes brushes I don’t really use. I wrote these down and we will see what the sale is!

    Love the video.Lexi, I have that Koyudo FuPa03 brush in my Beautylish cart for such a long time but never pulled the trigger. Now I have to 😉! Btw, I have the FuPa02, I don't like it. It is scratchy and not so nice like my other goat hair brushes. I will not recommend it. We have many similar favourites. Somehow I prefer WG eye brushes much better than Sonia G eye brushes and I love the two surratt shadow brushes (flat ones).

    • @LexiJong
      @LexiJong  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I usually prefer synthetic foundation brushes and this one is nice and soft on my skin. If you get it, please let me know your thoughts. I will have to try the Wayne Goss eye brushes! I have one of his eye brushes and it is very nice but I know I need to get different sizes to get a real feel for them. Thanks for the rec!
