WOO-HOO, congrats on your well-deserved PR, Alicia! I always look forward to your brush reviews; your passion & enthusiasm truly shine through! Now I'm waiting for Michele & Mel's demos to come through😋. The blue handles really are exquisite; & since they ARE the 007 of brushes, I'd like to eventually pick up a few more of Sonia's brushes (I presently have her smallest fan, Sculpt 3). I just have to keep reminding myself, that I'm (not so patiently) waiting for my full set of Rephr brushes to arrive🥰. Once I see the shapes in person, I'll get a few of the single Sonia & Wayne, etc. brushes to fill in any gaps in usage/shape. I believe in spending on quality tools, as I still have & use brushes from 10+ yrs. ago. However, now that I've indulged in handcrafted, artisanal brushes, every other brush I use feels pokey & rough (esp. EYE brushes!)😜.

I always feel so special when Alexis from Beautylish sends me a text to ask if I would like help preordering. Beautylish always makes it feel so personal, like it's not a mass text, know what I mean? I cant wait to receive mine!!!!!!! The description of these brushes was really intriguing to me. Brushes for people on the go with no time, when you dont have the time to sit down and do your makeup for 30 to 60 mins, blending and blowing out and whatnot, but you still want your makeup to look like you did that?!?! Yes please, sign me up Alexis!!!! Even though I do sit down and take the time on myself every morning (i cant help it, i just have to do that for myself!) brushes that do that ate ALWAYS going to be welcome!!!!!!!!
Yes, Amy YES! And Michele mentioned that in Sonia’s interview, she also wanted to design a starter set in a sense for the person who didn’t know where to start. I think she did a phenomenal job! Do keep me updated!!

Ugh, Alicia, I was pretty much set that I didn't want this brush set, or that I'd wait until the individuals came out, but your absolutely thorough demonstration has convinced me otherwise! I'm going to have to really reflect on my existing collection to decide by tomorrow. Also, yet again, that foundation shade looks so spot on! It looked so natural even before you added the powder products during your demo :) ETA: I also really agree with you about natural hair bristles. All the brushes I own in my relatively small collection are well crafted natural hair brushes (2 RMK, 1 Wayne Goss, 3 Sonia G, and 2 Hakuhodo). The application and finish I get when using these brushes is SO natural (no pun intended), but I never over apply product anymore nor have trouble picking up hard pressed products. They've made putting on makeup both fun and easy for me

I have Wayne Goss' set though...both the synthetic and the face set and a few of Sonia's...I just dunno if I can pull the trigger because of the color of the handles and a few differences - but omg they look gorgeous.

I know that this is an older video however, I was wondering if I could use the Sky Fan Brush for my light weight foundation use. I really only use concealer for my face but I want to blend it out without edges.. LOL I wanted to know if the white goat hair was ok to use for the concealer. I saw you use a Wayne Goss brush to do this but I don't have that brush. If anyone reading could help I would appreciate it! Thanks!!!

I got the Zoeva pro extensive brush set when I started doing makeup again. And also have the full pro set of Sonia G. And let me tell you as a MUA I can tell the difference. If I’m ever in a major hurry or got in trouble where something is looking bad and hard to blend, in pop out my Sonia G brushes and they save the day! They are amazing!!!
Love that you have washed the brushes first!! no one else has done this. I have all of Sonia's brushes and I ensure that I wash them before use purely because the shape is so much better and allows more air in the bristles. LOVE YOUR WORK!

The master face and soft cheek look interesting to me. I ordered the rephr brushes in the kickstarter campaign to add to my already extensive Wayne Goss collection, but I’m always on the hunt for the perfect bronzer or blush brush. The only Sonia G brush I own is the Face One brush, and I love it mostly for buffing, but also for powder foundation, bronzer and setting powder. Great review 😘
Try the Hakuhodo J531 for bronzing...I LOVE it!!! I also have Sonia's Face Pro brush which is similar in shape but somehow I always go back to my Haku J531:D

I always feel so special when Alexis from Beautylish sends me a text to ask if I would like help preordering. Beautylish always makes it feel so personal, like it's not a mass text, know what I mean? I cant wait to receive mine!!!!!!! The description of these brushes was really intriguing to me. Brushes for people on the go with no time, when you dont have the time to sit down and do your makeup for 30 to 60 mins, blending and blowing out and whatnot, but you still want your makeup to look like you did that?!?! Yes please, sign me up Alexis!!!! Even though I do sit down and take the time on myself every morning (i cant help it, i just have to do that for myself!) brushes that do that ate ALWAYS going to be welcome!!!!!!!!

Ugh, Alicia, I was pretty much set that I didn't want this brush set, or that I'd wait until the individuals came out, but your absolutely thorough demonstration has convinced me otherwise! I'm going to have to really reflect on my existing collection to decide by tomorrow. Also, yet again, that foundation shade looks so spot on! It looked so natural even before you added the powder products during your demo :)
ETA: I also really agree with you about natural hair bristles. All the brushes I own in my relatively small collection are well crafted natural hair brushes (2 RMK, 1 Wayne Goss, 3 Sonia G, and 2 Hakuhodo). The application and finish I get when using these brushes is SO natural (no pun intended), but I never over apply product anymore nor have trouble picking up hard pressed products. They've made putting on makeup both fun and easy for me
I Luv my Sonia Brushes so much that I made it a point to buy each & every one, did I need them all no but they are Amazing & now she came out with these beautiful sky set, Alicia blue is my fav color, I Will Purchase, I deserve that & more!

I have Wayne Goss' set though...both the synthetic and the face set and a few of Sonia's...I just dunno if I can pull the trigger because of the color of the handles and a few differences - but omg they look gorgeous.

I know that this is an older video however, I was wondering if I could use the Sky Fan Brush for my light weight foundation use. I really only use concealer for my face but I want to blend it out without edges.. LOL I wanted to know if the white goat hair was ok to use for the concealer. I saw you use a Wayne Goss brush to do this but I don't have that brush. If anyone reading could help I would appreciate it! Thanks!!!
You most certainly can! Goat hair that is undyed is suitable for both creams, liquids, and powders!

It's so funny, I was on Sonia G's website reading her blog on the brushes today and I thought to myself that I hope Kinkysweat gets these in PR to review and imagine my excitement when I logged on here and I saw your thumbnail!! I got the Zoeva pro extensive brush set when I started doing makeup again. And also have the full pro set of Sonia G. And let me tell you as a MUA I can tell the difference. If I’m ever in a major hurry or got in trouble where something is looking bad and hard to blend, in pop out my Sonia G brushes and they save the day! They are amazing!!!
Love that you have washed the brushes first!! no one else has done this. I have all of Sonia's brushes and I ensure that I wash them before use purely because the shape is so much better and allows more air in the bristles. LOVE YOUR WORK!

The master face and soft cheek look interesting to me. I ordered the rephr brushes in the kickstarter campaign to add to my already extensive Wayne Goss collection, but I’m always on the hunt for the perfect bronzer or blush brush. The only Sonia G brush I own is the Face One brush, and I love it mostly for buffing, but also for powder foundation, bronzer and setting powder. Great review 😘
Try the Hakuhodo J531 for bronzing...I LOVE it!!! I also have Sonia's Face Pro brush which is similar in shape but somehow I always go back to my Haku J531:D
