What a Gorgeous old Mansion!! It's such a shame to see it left abandoned to crumble. It Would definitely make beautiful condos. The House needs to become "Homes," again. And be cherished. So Sad!!
I enjoyed the second visit too. A great place here. Had the condominium project been finished I wonder if an elevator would have been installed. The apartments are very nice but I wouldn't want to carry groceries up all those stairs! Did I see a tree growing inside the tunnel near the chain link gate? That didn't look like just a branch that somehow got in there. If I'm correct the concrete must have cracked and a seed blew in and has been able to take root and get enough water and light for a tree to start. I hope you'll go back to this place in the next six months or year. I'd like to see the house again---and to see what's going on with that branch or tree in the tunnel!

This is an amazing explore, I'm going to go and read up on Jack Butcher later. It's surprisingly intact considering, asides from the few bits of grafitti, esp when you take into account the evidence of drug taking going on. I hope you find some more cool places to explore soon. God Bless
we actually had furniture from an auction at one of butchers places..a TV,a couple tables,i was in the first grade,we pulled up to our bank and my mom flipped to see the brown paper on the windows and it was a big big to-do...

If you ever get back to this mansion check out the garage, shed, and lake near house...More than likely the would of had a boat, just because of the location of property to lake....
This was great… I'm happy you had a buddy with you too, you just can never be too cautious :) I'd suggest that for you in future excursions, it's a common fact that many abandoned places are utilized for Satanic rituals and such, hence why you'll often see pentagrams, upside down Crosses, dried blood stains and drag patterns. Seeing what they owned & how they designed the inside of their mansion. Is this man still in prison? It just goes to show you that if you do something wrong it will come back to bite you. Just an FYI! They have police officers there now nonstop. I think house is being bought! Officers staying almost around the clock. They were parked in very back. They said they Took two girls in for trespassing right before I got there. Glad it wasn't me!! A little earlier and it would have been. I guess your videos got so much attention people coming by there increased traffic - awareness. so much so neighbors close to house set up cameras front ,back, sides. . They now have no trespassing signs and cameras signs - on property! I could hear dogs. I spoke to police who were there the day i went to try and see it. Officers at gate others in back. They were very serious about trespassers. They told me they would draw weapons on anyone there and take them in. due to safety for community.they mean business. They will fully prosecute is what I was told. I left quick as I got there. Fact. Beware and be careful. Great video but I would not suggest going in person again. So much protection there now. Nobody wants that much trouble or a court date. Not me anyway!

From what I've read, the 5 condos were occupied at one time, but everyone left because the upkeep was more than the rent could cover.
