Dark Souls: Killing Ornstein and Smough in 42 seconds - Crystal Halberd

- People were being mean to me about my cheese videos, so I thought I'd make this one showing how easy O&S really are.
Sometimes this is fun, sometimes cheesing them is fun. The game has lots of replay value with different builds and strategies.
I just wanted to let you know your method works. It still took me 2 hours but I finally realized you can just circle around the pillars and poke Smough. I was just being too greedy at first lol
I beat them with the Crystal Halberd also, its a bit stronger than my Raw Claymore +5.
Once you get good level at strength or dex, revert your raw weapon, to reach +14 cause it would do a lot more damage. (+15 if needed, but i only would use it for my fav weapon like claymore, or Great Club)
And here I am been trying to kill the Taurus demon for like an hour 😅
How, just kill the dogs first and then just dash to the left when he is about to hit and boom dead
@@user-pv3dz4ji4p that’s the Capra demon but I never fight him I just throw bombs over his wall until him and the dogs are dead 😅 but yeah for some reason I’m struggling immensely with the Taurus demon right now, never had an issue before. But maybe I’m getting too old or something :p my reaction times might be slowing down lol
@@Vexarax oh my bad, in that fight you are supposed to go to the tower where the archers are and jump, hit and repeat, but you can make him fall of the bridge, even if you both fall if he dies it counts so try that
@@user-pv3dz4ji4p yeah that’s what’s weird I used to just jump on his head 3 times with even a basic starter weapon and it’d be done with no issues! But now it’s my roll or something I’m stuck directly at the bottom under him once I land on him and jump off. I’ve made like 16 characters back when I used to play and this has never happened 😅 So I’ve been trying many other ways too and just get flattened, haha! I know it’s because I’m not very good at the game so I’m just going to keep trying until it works (I haven’t had time to play again since making my last comment - so many responsibilities so close to Christmas!) but thanks for the tips. I’ll get there eventually :D I’m playing as a mage for the first time to challenge myself, whereas I’ve only done pyro and strength builds before - just have to get used to the different playstyle I think :) my kids keep saying they’ll do it for me (they’ve both beaten the game even the DLC lol) but I refuse to give up!! :D

Could it be done faster if you had the sanctus to slow down the power within and use rtsr into phase 2???? Maybe even ring of the evil eye?????
Ring of the evil eye is worthless since it only lets you heal a small bit of hp every time you kill a enemy. He could have used the dragon torso and use the extra 25% attack buff before you atk.
What + was it on?

Sure the damage output is so high the order doesn't really matter.
This weapon got broken when i almost killed that fat guy in 2nd phase. I dont know why.
The tradeoff for the extra damage on crystal weapons is that they have reduced durability, and cannot be repaired.

@@eligreg99 yes basically. It helps if you can keep a titanite chunk because upgrading it will repair it.

@@eligreg99in PTDE the crystal halberd lasted me several (like 10) attempts no problemo. And it still got plenty of durability left. Had it at +0 and it was a beast, R2 between Ornstein legs hit 2x
I've gotten the crystal Halberd but never used it. Is it really _that_ powerful? I've been using the zwaihander against these guy and keep dieing.
What were your states?
Edit: it is with great pleasure to (although quite late) inform you all I've finally beat Ornstein and Smough. I just used pyromancey and Emit force on 2nd phase Smough then finished with the zwaihander.
I've gotten all but one lord soul (Seath) I've got sunlight blade and maxed out my zwaihander. Nearly at the end!
Hi there. The crystal halberd is a guaranteed drop so makes it a great choice. It is a fast weapon, and combined with the buffs (RTSR, Power within, Lightning) the DPS is huge. Stats are 16 st 12 dex, same as the regular halberd, so it is great for low-level runs.
@@TheBradgicShow Ah, thank you. I don't have the RTSR and I don't think I'll be skilled enough to use it effectively.
I have 14 dex 30 strength and 27 faith.
You think I could use Sunlight blade maricle for the lightning damage? I don't have much gold pine resin left.
@@marschallblucher6197 sunlight blade is stronger than pine resin but lasts for a shorter period. If you want to farm resin. Head all the way over to Darkroot Garden to kill the shrooms.
@@marschallblucher6197 you don't need Pine resin at all tbh. Ornstein resists electricity so its pointless. You can use charcoal pine resin instead.
Imagine this but buffed with darkmoon blade.
I think Darkmoon blade don't stack, it switch the damage of the weapon by a damage scaling with your talisman scale
Means that a longsword 1+ would cause the same damage
And I think that crystal weapons cannot be buffed with Darkmoon blade
@@agneusxd I know, right? It gives a lot of flat dmg buff. Also it works on crystal weapons, and weapon with darkmoon blade deals more damage than with a pine resin.
Should’ve used redtearstone ring to make it even more powerful
