They also had the time from fleeing the apartment to getting to the hotel and being at the hotel to try and solidify their story, which they still messed up a lot but, I certainly believe they are dumb enough to not be able to come up with coherent cover stories.

Finally I had enough, didn't trust the school caring for my kid so I pulled her. Started collecting her homework and schoolwork and turning it in each week and began looking for another school. Due to no school choice it wasn't easy. Long story short we found a great school and got her enrolled and I contacted the dept of education. Less than a week later they sent child protective services to our house. Come to find out the other student's aunt was superintendent. They filed a complaint out of spite. I had to prove we had food and a bed and they took my daughter and asked her all types of inappropriate questions about me and her "relationship". She was 9. I was mortified. I got a lawyer and we got everything resolved but for a few weeks I was scared they could take her and I couldn't stop them. There is, it’s called a background check. The parents who allowed someone to watch their kids with child abuse convictions who’d lost custody of her own kids have failed as parents. It costs less than $50 on many websites to look up records on ppl. If you can’t afford to run that check, you can’t afford to have kids. Many places you can contact the county clerk’s office for access to public records for free or just the cost of printing the paper.

The child hit his head on the corner of the plastic frame and passed away due to the injuries minutes later. Marissa tried to hide his death by putting him in a carrier and going to McDonald’s with her boyfriend. She lied to the boyfriend about the baby’s health so that he would go along with the plan. She then handed the baby off at pickup like everything was normal, leaving the mother to realize he had passed away about half an hour later. To be fair there have been cases where sitters with perfect records have gone on to unalive kids in their care. Look at the case of the family nanny who the parents thought was perfect, the kids adored her and out of nowhere she slit the children's throats.
Plus, a lot of people think so lowly of CPS and believe they steal children for no reason. This could have been one of those situations where she convinced people she was a victim of the state and CPS stole her kids for no reason.
I'm more going with she kept it a secret, probably didn't tell the mom she had that many kids taken away or would just make excuses for why they weren't there during up & drop off, like maybe with grandma or something.
Then there's the possibility that the mom could have been so desperate for a sitter she really couldn't be bothered to look too deep into it. I hope this isn't so.

She immediately called me at wok, crying hysterically and told me to meet her at the emergency room asap. She was so open, honest, and very obviously extremely distraught at the thought of having hurt him. She was sobbing so hard that she was dry heaving. When she explained she had looked away for just a few seconds while attending to the needs of another child and she did not see exactly when my son fell, her voice was cracking and I could see she was fighting back tears very hard. You cannot fake love and care at that level; I never felt more sure that we choose the appropriate daycare for our son. As a parent, you just know.

@@rolandolemus1352Having been on n the other side of that, I can confirm it’s gut wrenching. I babysat for my nephews when they were babies and young children and everything was fine when they were young. Always returned them without so much as a bump or scratch. No, the problem was when the eldest got old enough to be taken to the park!
He was on the swings while I watch, and I swear, the moment I looked down to attend to his brother, who was on the bench with me, three years younger and what happened? Of course it was that moment the eldest fell off the swing and tumbled to the ground. I’ll never forget the sickening feeling of that moment. Fortunately he got away with just bruises and scrapes-I always have a first aid kit with me so I patched him up and called their mother straight away.
I felt horrible for the rest of the day and watched him like a hawk, ready to take him to a doctor or hospital if there was a hint of anything else wrong, but he recovered from it faster than I did. My brother and his wife were cool with it as accidents happen. I didn’t mind them thoroughly inspecting him at pickup-even left the room to allow them some privacy. It was ghastly. @@Myhealingjourney1111I doubt the mother knew. This woman is a master manipulator! Just watch this videos. I highly doubt she told the mother of her background and not everyone has the $$ for background checks which are often sealed documents in some cases. The mother trusted another mother not knowing she was a monster. Not knowing she had other children taken away. You have to think of all the heartache and guilt this mother is going through and she can’t go back in time and change what happened or go over “what ifs.” This animal is the one who did this. The mother and her innocent baby are victims! Not all parents have $$ for daycare, sadly. Which is extremely expensive! And even in daycare, this stuff sadly happens. But focus on the monster who did this. A single mother with out means was trying to work and provide and this P 0 S took her babies life!

You can just tell there is so much more to the story that she is not admitting to and its chilling to think of the reality of what happened in Bensons last moments. The way she claims she doesnt know how long he was crying for after she threw him seems like she did something more to him not to mention she said she stayed in the room with him?! She said when she moved him after throwing him he was already dead so she watched him cry until he died then repositioned his body. Truly heartbreaking and unimaginable. RIP baby Benson
